Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Two Christian (?) Groups Were Paid $62 Million by the Biden Thugocracy to Settle Somalis in MinnesotaWeird how the left is willing to pay money to some "religious" groups for some purposes. Chadwick Moore:Say, who usurped the government in 2021? "It is hurting the ability of these organizations to fundraise in arguably more important areas of their work. I imagine a lot of donors are being pushed away by something that is very reasonably viewed as highly controversial by a lot of people," Thayer said. Before Minnesota became Somali central, it was known as the Hmong hub. The state first became a test ground for a Vietnam-era resettlement program -- with powerful advocacy from then-Vice President Walter Mondale and Minnesota's Democrat governor Al Quie, according to local historians. ... Mondale then headed the US delegation to the United Nations in 1979, where he delivered a speech which helped secure international commitments to resettlement, framing the crisis in moral terms by comparing it to a failure to protect Jewish refugees before and during World War II. Within a couple years, the Twin Cities' Hmong population was in the thousands. Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services -- the latter now called Global Refuge -- had built an extensive resettlement operation as far back as World War II to help Christians displaced from war-torn Europe, so were a natural go-for the federal government to help with its mass resettlement.Completely, totally, transcendantally unrelated: the EU Parliament actually voted to condemn the Muslim Brotherhood and object to "Islamist entryism" into the West. I don't know how they mean the term "entryism" but the context I've heard it in regards SJW entryism. It's the scripted process of taking over an organization by agitating first for "just some more diverse members," then demanding not just a more diverse membership but a more diverse leadership, then changing the rules that that only SJWs can serve in leadership, then changing the rules so that only SJWs can even be members. It's a textbook playbook for capturing an organization, outlawing the former leaders and members of that organization, and then turning that organization completely against its old goals and towards the goal of further SJW propaganda and subversion of other institutions. I assume they mean it the same way, but in regards to Islamists invading, subverting, and ultimately taking over countries. ... Lorenzo Vidino, director of the program on extremism at George Washington University, told Fox News Digital that, "This is something that the French and the Austrian governments have been pushing for almost a decade," noting a growing consensus across Europe that wants action.You don't say. ... Vidino said, "The Brotherhood remains something that is seen through the political lenses of our own political debates, where it shouldn't be... because it's a challenge to our societies." A press release on the resolution issued by the European Parliament's news website stated that Islamist entryism targets "democratic institutions, the rule of law, equality between women and men and fundamental freedoms." It stressed that Muslim citizens must be protected from discrimination as "a democratic obligation," while "warning against treating organized Islamist networks as representative interlocutors." The release also stated, "While Europe must remain free, open and faithful to its principles, it can 'no longer fund, consult or legitimize networks that use its language, procedures and funding to weaken its values from within,'" but "MEPs stress that anti-discrimination policies must not be used to shield Islam from criticism or legitimize organized Islamist networks."From August 25: Denmark's left-wing PM warns of a "big enemy" growing in Europe due to unlimited immigration. Denmark's left-wing prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, has sent shock waves throughout the European left after recent comments about the Scandinavian nation's -- and the continent's -- failure to deal with radical Islam among migrant communities. Her comments come after the mass migration chaos in the Spanish exclave of Ceuta, when Frederiksen criticized the actions of Spain's leftist leader, Pedro Sánchez, during a special session on Ceuta in the Danish Parliament. Responding to a question from a far-left legislator on Denmark's apparent lack of "solidarity" with Spain against "anti-democratic forces" pressuring Europe, Frederiksen said, "If we talk about undemocratic forces, then Russia is our biggest enemy. The problem is that a big enemy has started to grow from within, and it is foreigners who have come to Europe," according to an English translation.

_________________________ There's some irony here. I'm sure the attached requirement on the money they accepted to place Somali immigrants was tied to the Catholic Church making a killing on the USAID. I believe the final result of USAID being nixed was the Catholic Church terminating something like 75% of the personnel in their Catholic Relief Services program. That was quite the deal on USAID. The US taxpayer financed the "altruistic" Catholic Church so that they could advertise all their good deeds in the Church's name without acknowledging who was footing the bill. Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services are the two biggest resettlement orgs.
This is another thing I blame on Bush II. W., you'll all remember, had the bright idea of "Faith Based Initiatives". These partnerships between fedgov and these religious charities were implemented because "the church can do the job better than the government, and often saving the taxpayer money" or some such line. Which sounded great, and made some sense at the time. So they started doing this in W.'s first term, with a great portion of that Faith Based Initiative money going to Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services and other groups like them - Jewish and Muslim orgs doing the same things. They certainly know how to burn down Notre Dame as they've done it before. There was video of a islamic man in white on the roof early during the fire. It started in the roof by a cig or electronic circuit. I think during "construction" but that's from memory. Ancient dry beams caught fire like paper, aided with a crap alarm system, and too late to save her structure. At least one rose window escaped and they moved other artifacts. Very sad and I'm glad I saw it three times before this.
Erasing culture is their thing. They want to do this so future jihad generations of cockroaches won't remember the Christian/Jew art and architecture and culture which they had no part of while they had sex with goats. Macron has never had control. At the first sign of police being overwhelmed, with the exception of blue cities or MN, National Guard or military troops would take care of this quickly in the USA. Meanwhile, in France, spreading to Italy, different radical groups merge like amoebas to burn, loot and the potential to kill anyone or anything in their way. It is probably too late, however I still pray Christians and Jews will rise up and fight the invasion of the barbarians. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at October 19, 2026 04:35 PM (hzuYO) 51

Not apolitical at all…
Statement from Cardinal DiNardo re: President Trump’s Immigration Policies Today President Donald Trump made several announcements which deeply concern me. These include issuing an executive order to construct a wall at the U.S./Mexico border, significantly increasing immigrant detention and deportation, and preempting the judgment of state and local law enforcement on how best to protect their communities. The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is committed to an immigration policy that protects human rights, dignity and the homeland at the same time. Over the years, we have seen first-hand the suffering caused by a broken immigration system. We have witnessed the pain, fear and heartache of people who have come to us, who have to live among us in the shadows of society. Many have suffered exploitation in the workplace, lived under the constant threat of deportation and bore the weight of the fear of possible separation from their family members and friends. As Archbishop of a Texas diocese, I believe that the order to construct a wall along our border with Mexico will only make migrants more susceptible to traffickers and smugglers – putting their lives… Posted by: Piper at October 19, 2026 04:40 PM (ZdaMQ) 64

Here’s the kicker for Christian groups. Take it away Grok;
“ Christians in Somalia face severe abuse, including physical violence, execution, and social persecution. The country ranks second on the 2026 World Watch List for Christian persecution, behind only North Korea, with a Christian population estimated at only hundreds of believers.” And let’s not forget the Jews; “ There is essentially no Jewish community in Somalia today. A 1949 report stated "no Jews left in Italian and British Somaliland," and the last remaining Jews were deported in 1967 after the Six-Day War. A few crypto-Jewish families (Yemenite/Adenite descent) reportedly lived in Mogadishu until roughly the mid-2000s under constant threat from Al-Shabaab, but they have since disappeared.” Wow. A young boy prays as women line up in prayer during the funeral for five women killed in a car crash on Lake Street, at the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, Minn., on June 19, 2023. ------------------- Dad's a former Dem state rep/BLM leader: A Brooklyn Park man convicted of killing five young women in a 2023 high-speed crash was sentenced Thursday morning to more than 58 years in prison. In June, a Hennepin County jury found Derrick Thompson guilty on all charges, including five counts of third-degree murder and 10 counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Thompson’s defense claimed he was not the driver. On Thursday, however, after friends and family members of the dead women offered heartbreaking statements about the lives lost and the enormous grief that remains, he acknowledged being behind the wheel. Thompson, the 29-year-old son of former DFL state Rep. John Thompson, had rented a Cadillac Escalade SUV at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on June 16, 2023 and was driving it at more than 100 miles per hour when he exited Interstate 35W and crashed into a sedan on Lake Street. "Are you now, or have you ever been, a Muslim?" Another another gift to the USA from Jimmah for the grants (which Trump stopped). In distant history I think individual religious groups/missionaries would help war torn countries in hopes of conversion as well as assisting. To have people drawn to Christianity's love, kindness and caring of strangers. Because of federal funding, they are strictly prohibited from proselytizing Like Somolians are going to convert to Christianity! Right?! One of my favorite of the many bizarre things in Ceausescu regime was the churches in Bucharest.
He was a fanatical Communist and hated religion in all forms. But Romania is so heavily Christian that he eventually recognized the Orthodox churches when he needed to galvanize nationalist sentiment after breaking from the USSR. He still despised Christianity so much that, at yuuuge expense, he had them jacked up and moved away from his motorcade route, and boxed in with apartment towers so he wouldn't have to see them when driving around. Posted by: Martini Farmer at October 19, 2026 05:00 PM (RORbl) --- There are Queensryche lyrics to that... Posted by: Axeman And that in a nutshell is why a lot of young people going into ministry end up burned out and hating religion. It becomes a endless fundraising campaign and many of the same metrics used in business like butts in the seat and total donations are tracked by hierarchy. And then the big donors demand a bigger say in running the church and staffing it along with message control, etc. etc. And that doesn't matter what the denomination is. Endless calls to get bigger, build more infrastructure requiring more donations to keep the roof overhead and lights on, more donations to keep up with other churches, etc. Paul's example, where he worked as an itinerant tent maker from place to place and living solely from willing, not solicited, contributions by believers looks pretty good at building a church. FWIW, the early churches got started in part because synagogues were not exclusively religious in the beginning--they were as much community centers as they were for religious worship. We seem to left that behind Posted by: whig at October 19, 2026 05:07 PM (E4rtv) 150

Obama: Omar investigation should ‘outrage all Americans’
Any decent American sees this for what it is, Trump has become obsessed over the years with anyone who dares to even contradict him. He is obsessed with Minnesota because we did not welcome his brown shits with open arms and madder still because an "uppity" woman of color dared to call him what he truly is. 1/3 of the country knows it’s BS and they love it anyway. Nothing is off limits to MAGA, as long as they’re hurting the ‘right people’. I'm tired of being outraged. I'm just counting down the days until midterms when we actually might be able to do something about it. If this was such a serious issue it wouldn't have waited so long for it to come under public scrutiny. It's just the tactic they use like all the trump talking points about Biden committing crimes and only using them as talking points. If they ever had anything actionable that would affect their opponents they would be doing more than talking. Mainline and traditional Protestant denominations in the U.S. are experiencing a wave of contractions, with roughly 200 Lutheran churches closing or disbanding each year (totaling around 1,000 congregations over the past five years.
Aging demographics of members. High maintenance costs of many large, historic church buildings with high utilities, insurance and roofing costs. No $ left for full-time pastors or youth ministry. Generations in small towns moved away. Increased internal disagreement over social stances, Biblical authority, etc. The Roman Catholic Church is experiencing a major contraction, having closed or consolidated over 600 parishes in 2022 and 2023 along. Since 2000, the church has shuttered more than 2,000 U.S. parishes. The total # of self-identifying American Catholics is relatively stable, it's anchored by the growing Hispanic population. There's a severe shortage of priests, aging demographics and falling general membership, along with high concentration of closures in the Northeast & Midwest. Sunbelt dioceses are growing quickly. The ongoing financial settlements from alleged clergy sexual abuse scandal(s) are also continuing. Posted by: L - No nic... at October 19, 2026 05:18 PM (NFX2v) 177

Reading comments above...everyone needs to search and find a church that fits their beliefs.
I became Catholic this past spring after a lifetime of conservative (PCA) Presbyterian faith going back to the Church of Scotland and 1700's. We found a church here after we moved. Small. Nice pastor,etc. Some people loved the casualness, the non-traditional (really bad) music. It distracted me from worship along with the same people getting up during a sermon to get more coffee. A clique of new Christians, drawn to this worship and that's fine. I'm a traditionalist. In the Deep South you can still find good churches that have not gone to praise music only. Old historical hymns My sons and husband are musicians. One son was a professional jazz musician. Bad music hurts our ears and souls. I never, ever thought I'd be a Catholic after marrying one who converted to Presbyterian. Yet here I am. Because the huge church we attend is grounded in faith and the Word of God. Conservative from what I've seen, and I checked it out for six months. I am thankful and have found worship and peace. That's what is important to me along with beautiful music. The church you seek is out there. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at October 19, 2026 05:22 PM (hzuYO) 189

Philadelphia is under such strain, Archbishop Nelson Pérez's newest strategic plan is for individual county regions to get centralized support hubs.
Rather than closing additional parishes in the area, this hub works to deploy full-time missionaries and pool collaborative resources to support surrounding active communities. Our parish and a few others are sharing both clergy and regional resources to navigate the Archdiocese's personnel shortages. The broader clergy teams cross over to help cover liturgies, confessions, and sacramental needs. Our parish is wonderful. The priest makes no bones that $ is needed. He makes and sells seafood salad. There are cheesesteaks on certain Friday nights and raffles & community drives for baby bottles, diapers, baby clothing for single mothers & also aid for the needy. Any family sending a child to Catholic school is eligible for financial assistance. There's teen programs featuring basketball leagues, get togethers, etc. The local K to 8th grade school my kids attended is no more. Most of those elementary school functions have also been consolidated into regional schools. Look around Philly area to see what religion is growing.
