Musical Interlude

It's the same song as this day last year. YouTube is playing up for me right now, so I can't easily search for a new one.

Disclaimer: But it's a good song.

6 In a memo first reported by Bloomberg, CoreWeave chief executive Mike Intrator said that “factors like the weakness and delays surrounding the attempted IPOs and debt financings” were “bleeding into the narrative”.

Tell the world you can't deliver what you are basing your IPO on without telling the world you can't deliver.

7 As far as HP is concerned, they lost me a long time ago for lack of reliability in their hardware. Have they gotten better? Don't know, don't care.

11 I worked on product development at a large company more than once in my working years. I knew the product we were developing was a bust, but being a loyal engineer, I plowed ahead with no one listening in the higher authority. Sure enough, the customers weren't buying the product and we had a meeting to decide to keep going. I could have saved the company lots and lots of money just by pulling the plug on the project, but the know it all management never listen. I wonder how often this happens in tech companies.

To be sure, asmongold is an acquired taste.
I think he's funny and has his finger on the pulse of the Hot New Stories. Like ace does.

15 Disclaimer: But it's a good song.

It is indeed. The video goes well with the song. Not sure what town in the UK was shown (Northern England somewhere) but the US shots were Western PA. Down around Aliquippa. Maybe Ambridge too.

16 I think you're getting out over your oars there, CoreWeave.

CoreWeave basically builds data centers for AI companies to rent/lease space at to run their models.

Since Wall St. is now getting nervous about the debt load with AI build-out and whether the debt is ever going to be paid they are pulling out of the starting side of the AI bubble.

So memory & chip manufacturers and dats center corps are getting hit hard.

The bubble is coming to an end, I believe.
Let’s just hope it’s a soft landing.
