The Mystery of the Talarico Disappearance

There's a lot of speculation going on, which, unlike in the case of the Charlie Kirk murder, is completely justified because we have a legitimate mystery which James Talarico refuses to resolve himself.

I say it's the AIDS Crazies, but other people have their own theories.

The big theory is, of course, that James Talarico had a mental health crisis and checked himself in to an Ohio mental health facility.

Is there evidence for this? Well, some. A private plane flew from Austin to an airfield close by the Lindner Center of Hope in Mason, Ohio. Which itself is interesting because that mental health facility was used by one of Talarico's friends and close political supporters.

Caroline Wren
@CarolineWren

What are the chances that a private plane took off from Austin and flew to tiny Hamilton airport in Ohio which is 20 mins from the Lindner Center, a private inpatient mental health treatment facility, and then turned around and flew back to Austin landing yesterday morning at 10:24am right before James Talarico magically reappears at the Austin City Limits music festival that afternoon? Lindner Center also happens to be the same facility that Talarico's good friend and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo spent 7 weeks in when she had a mental breakdown 3 years ago...

Of course, the big huge evidence is that reporters called the mental health facility in question and a representative there confirmed Talarico had been treated there, but had just been released.

Now the hospital is denying this, but the original admission is on audiotape, and one can imagine that if they unwisely disclosed Talarico's presence there they would have to scramble to deny it due to rules about patient confidentiality.

The nation's Democrat Propaganda Outfit of Record says trust us, we have secret evidence we can't share that Talarico has just been at home for some of these past 12 days.

There are many problems here:

1, that doesn't prove that he didn't check himself into a mental health facility. Even taking that as true, we could only conclude he wasn't at a mental health facility for 8 of the 12 days. Self check-ins to mental health facilities are often short stays of 48 hours or 72 hours, my extensive experience in reading detective fiction tells me.

2, this "evidence" is shared by intense partisans -- the campaign itself -- and cannot be trusted. Nor can the intense partisans at the NYT, who will not share the information.

3, even if the claim were true, that would not explain why a 37 year old "man" disappears from the campaign trail for 12 straight days in the closing hours of the campaign to make photo collages and put together his own look books.

4, another reporter says it's not true, and no one has seen anyone at Talarico's home since the disappearance:

talaricohouse.jpg

Talarico's own claims are varied and contradictory:

This should be the easiest thing in the world for him to clear up -- and yet he can't, or won't.

Talarico's paid army of online bots is threatening anyone who talks about the AIDS Crazies:

Shipwreckedcrew
@shipwreckedcrew

The Memo has gone out to the Lib Influencers:

"Knock this story down by posting that everyone is going to get sued for posting rumors about Talarico."

Hey Libs -- it would not be so hard to decipher your coordinated messaging if you all could resist the urge to post the same thing at the same time.

"Coordinated Messaging" = False = Propaganda.

Is there evidence he employs an army of paid bots and influencers? Why yes there is!

Paul A. Szypula 🇺🇸
@Bubblebathgirl

As if Talarico's campaign isn't already having a bad day, a New York Times report released Sunday says dozens of TikTok accounts were paid $4 per 1,000 views to post positive clips about him. The company behind the payments is Frontier Media. Naturally his campaign says it had nothing to do with it. The money Frontier Media used to pay for pro-Talarico social content had to come from somewhere.

These paid "clippers" weren't a tiny side effort. They accounted for nearly a quarter of the Talarico-related videos the Times looked at in a 24-hour window. The money's source is still unclear and Frontier Media has no visible FEC filings. The campaign's denial is noted, but the volume of paid content is not. Follow the money is the obvious course of action. Between today's blockbuster mental health facility claims and now this NYT article on paid support for Talarico, it's unthinkable that his campaign survives the week let alone a debate or election.

Organic support is one thing. A network of accounts getting paid by the view to flood the platform with positive clips is another. Voters can tell the difference. The appearance of a spontaneous online army collapses once the payments are documented. That's what the Times just did.

It should be mentioned that a man in the U.S. just got sentenced to jail for artificially creating consumption of his AI songs on streaming services. There should be similar penalties for artificially creating support for a political candidate, without disclosing it, on social media. The fraud is for profit. In the streaming case financially, in the Talarico case politically and also financially. Both are clearly immoral and should be criminal.

65 The Bulwark: MAGA’s Talarico Mental Breakdown Conspiracy Implodes—Instantly
The holes in this one were evident pretty quickly. Now the big question is will there be lawsuits in response?

It's obvious BS. If Talarico had actually had a mental breakdown, why would he go to Ohio for treatment and not, say, anywhere in his home state? Why wouldn’t he simply have someone come to him?

MAGA are so scared and desperate. Shall we send them a fruit basket??

Nah, send them a basket of dildos. Just like people did to those fucks that took over that wildlife refuge in Oregon. That was awesome, the whiny little fucks had to beg people to stop sending them dildos.

Lies are about all they’ve got left… Well… That and voter intimidation and post-vote ballot seizures…

The last three political candidates with clear, demonstable mental issues--Feinstein, Fetterman, and Trump--won their elections, so I'm not sure this is really the attack angle the Republicans think it is...

Legally it IS libel, and they're in "Carol Burnett" territory. (National Enquirer published a malicious and provably false libel, she took them to court **and won.**)

76 Thanks, Ace.

I still return to people calling a stomach virus or a regular cold "flu." If it was "real" flu (Influenza A or B) there has been a drug, Tamiflu, for decades. This shortens the length of illness and blunts side effects.

Twelve days for influenza? Nah. It used to be (pre-covid) a week. With lingering cough that can possibly then lead to mycoplasma and "walking pneumonia" as a secondary infection.

I say pre-covid as I believe this is in every infection now and the common cold of 7days goes longer. Another of my theories due to observing it with family and myself. Making me hate the chy knee more often for their man made plandemic.

If he had the shigella ghey shites, I am unsure the duration of that without antibiotics. However, altho I am reading it can be antibiotic resistant, there are antibiotics for regular shigella shites.

I still prefer the grocery store raciss story of him calling a black youth a n and some other stuff. Because the boy would not let him ahead in line, with King T. only having two items. This would destroy his election.

Regardless, something stinks in TallyRico's stories. It could be his underwear.

He's hiding something big says Elon Musk.

That seems the only explanation for why he would literally disappear for two weeks. Even if he was in the looney bin, they could have staged some kind of zoom call or something as proof of life.

********
HIPPA law clearly states that unless the facility had Telerico's consent, his name should not have been given by phone or discussed as him being a patient there.

When trauma's enter the ED they are given a code name. My job as a RN case manager was to contact family after the police or hwy patrol gave me the ID. I was present in the trauma room when the patient arrived. They are then entered into the computer system with their real names. Large screens in ED's, for decades, have been hidden from public view and for staff use only. If a staff member is not in direct patient care with a patient they can be fired for looking at the records. This happens with famous people as patients and nosy staff look...which then targets them with IT, and they are fired.

The lady who answered the phone, as of yesterday, was fired, no doubt. Of course they are going to lie about it as it is federal law. On top of lawsuits they can lose licensure and Medicare/Medicaid status from Joint Commission.

(That principle obviously never applied to ethically questionable forms of journalism that ensnare Republicans.)

That was sooooo fukin great by the way. I sent that story immediately to a bunch of liberal women who thought he was just the best for supporting his wife through breast cancer. The meltdowns were glorious. OH the LAUGHS!!!

155 I would not be so confident as that writer that "voters can tell the difference" between organic support and paid postings.

For the past year or more, I've been receiving quotes from AI from friends when I ask a question that calls for their personal expertise. And as with most of the AI I've seen, it's false or misleading information.

Yet ... people want an oracle, so they trust what they see.

Remember, it has taken DECADES of blatant bias for the public to swing around to distrusting major media.

232 221 IF the grocery store gossip of Talerico is true, he will lose the black vote.

Maybe he had a giant hissy and raciss fit and his staff put him on a plane to the Ohio mental facility. Hoping the story would die down.

We all know since a Clancy fan was asked, "What if she said the "n" word?" And the Clancy fan said, "Well, that's different." I am paraphrasing, but felt she meant, "It's ok to murder your 3 children, but just don't say the n word of doom."

Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at October 13, 2026 12:44 PM (hzuYO)

=======

He is not going to lose the black vote. The black vote is partisan in general elections.

However, it's not going to help with his turnout issues with black voters. Jasmine keeps signalling to them that they don't need to support him because of his racist campaign against here and that he's such a mediocre white man (no lies detected), and I think she's just voicing what the black electorate in Texas (and perhaps further afield) already feels about candidates they didn't choose as a racial bloc this cycle.

Talarico will win 85% of the black vote.

But it'll be 11% of the electorate instead of 13%.

That's not how it works.

The flu almost always comes from China. It's because they have pig farmers who basically cohabitate with their pigs. CDC and other groups keep track of infections in the region.

At any given time, there are three or four different variants floating around in the population. These variants aren't the same each year. They use this information to try to predict which variant is going to be the predominant one that takes off and jumps to the US. Then they spin up the flu shot production process for that variant.

Sometimes they're right, sometimes not.

259 It wouldn't surprise me if Talarico has cracked up under the pressure. Every position he's promoted speaks to serious mental and moral issues, all of it packaged in a strange, fey schoolboy manner that conveys a kind of brittle fragility. Add to that fragility the intensity of the campaign and the desperation of the Democratic Party to win that Texas senate seat, and you get Talarico curled up in a ball in a hotel bathroom, weeping helplessly, calling for his mother.

I personally think the guy is almost certainly gay, which one would think would be a plus for his campaign given the high placement of gay people in the progressive stack, but he's been forced to stay in the closet for tactical reasons. We're talking Texas, after all.

Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit

Couple of things; it's not a hospital, and there appears to be two companies involved. The "Linder Center for HOPE" is one, and another is "Lindner Center of Hope Professional Associates," a separate 501c3. The LCforH does not list treatment in their filing, the LCofHPA does. If the 'administrator' worked for the facility not the treatment company, she may not be under HIPAA.

I have mild asthma if I get a cold since the minor lung damage in the 80's from Influenza B.

Non of the shots since has bothered me in any way. I also have never gotten the flu since.

This is why it's my choice and I don't care and freely admit it. I also got the Tdap when our first grandson was born (pre-covid). No problems and it was recommended to protect him.

Big deal. Not mRNA, which I would never have. Believe me I check and if all goes to mRNA I will stop. Until then I carry on and will get the dam shot once I am over this sinus thing.

It looks like a bad design for heavy riders. If you're slimmer, that device is going to fit around your hips and clamp down. But if you're big, you'll need to really press down for that device to clamp around skeletal structure. If you don't press down enough, there's going to be room for your body to move when enough G-forces are pushing you around.

It's a dead virus and if it was immediate she was already exposed.

If she got it months later it is not 100% but I take it anyway in hopes it won't put me and my wonky lungs in the hospital. Again, I made this decision in the late '80's seeing how sick I got with a secondary mycoplasma infection right after the "real" flu of 104 degrees and missing a week of work. It was felt to be safe then by doctors I trusted.

I 1000% believe mRNA changes DNA and people have died from the covid vax.

If the UV rays of the sun changes DNA to give you cancer, I am not putting mRNA in my body.

I totally agree with being anti-mRNA and wish it was gone forevermore.

354 In my experience, having been married to someone who has been to the looney bin more than once:

1. No matter what the law says, there is an insane amount of intake paperwork and it doesn't get put into the system immediately. I have been told by a receptionist that Pooky is not a patient, despite a phone call from his doctor telling me where he was *and* Pooky signing a "Yes, you can tell people I'm here" form.

2. A minimum of 72 hours is a standard stay not just because of the law, but so you can get at least one good night of sleep. (Sooooo many mental issues are aggravated by lack of sleep.) Private institutions get antsy if you stay more than 72 hours because then they have to justify things to insurance companies. The VA is its own insurance company, so they will keep you as long as they think you need it, and afterward, you go to outpatient programs.

We've never had flu shots and have only had flu that one time. I suspect our experience in 1999 provides some cross-immunity. In any case, we seem to be far more resistant than our acquaintances who get shots.

Aka, just b/c a 17 year old 1st year employee gets you snapped in, it does not mean it's safe for you, even if your kid wants to ride it.

Anyone over a certain weight shouldn't ride any thrill rides b/c they aren't designed for morbidly obese unless there are specific disability seats (which usually can also accomodate obese folks b/c of their design).
