Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Quick HitsICE be upon him: Immigration judge rules that Trump may deport the leader of a large mosque due to national security concerns. The U.S. can deport the leader of a large mosque in Wisconsin on the grounds that he is a threat to national security, an immigration judge ruled on Wednesday. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detained Salah Sarsour, an outspoken supporter of Palestine, in March. Sarsour alleged the federal government was targeting him for speaking out against Israel and advocating for Palestinian rights. In June, a federal judge agreed and ordered Sarsour released, the Associated Press reported. Sasour was born in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and was imprisoned in Israel in 1988 after confessing to throwing a Molotov cocktail and stones at Israeli military personnel. He was also convicted in 1995 of attempting to possess weapons. He denies committing the crimes, and his attorneys allege he was tortured into confessing to them. Government attorneys argue that Sarsour's convictions in Israel, along with allegations he lied on his green card application, make him a threat to national security. Florida designates CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist groups. That's the snag, isn't it? This is how you do it: An entitled and violent asylum seeker (aren't they all) starts causing "chaos" at a Japanese airport and is deported that same day. A judge has halted, for the moment, the communist jihadi's plan to tax so-called "pied-a-terre" residences in NYC. If you remember, Mamdani sent out demands to everyone who owned a home valued at $1 million or more, despite his confiscatory tax only applying to homes valued at $5 million or more. He also sent these demands to people whose NYC homes are their primary homes, not secondary residences or pied-a-terres. His intent was maximum intimidation. He's a communist like Hasan Piker who wants "capitalist blood running in the streets." The judge did not block his tax itself, but he demanded Mamdani stop and re-do his intimidating demands sent out to everyone with a pricey apartment. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's plans to charge wealthy out-of-towners with a new tax were dealt a blow on Tuesday after a state judge ordered the administration to redo its rollout. The ruling by state Supreme Court judge Wayne M. Ozzi sided with a group of homeowners who claimed the tax unconstitutionally discriminates against out-of-state property owners, impedes interstate commerce and retroactively creates tax liabilities for co-op boards because of actions by their shareholders. In the ruling, Ozzi said "homeowners are being substantially harmed and penalized needlessly" by the city's new tax on second homes in New York City valued at more than $5 million. He ordered the administration to remove the current list of property owners to whom the tax won't apply and replace it with one listing only those who will be subject to the tax.The wack-a-doo communist BLM revolutionary running as the Democrat for the open Florida senate seat raised money for a supposedly BLM cause and then, get this, no seriously you'll never believe this, can't account for where the money went. Hard to believe, right? Must be racism. A charity controlled by Florida Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon raised more than $270,000 in 2024, tax-exempt funds that Nixon said she would use to support Cafe Resistance, the black power-themed bookstore and coffee shop she was launching in Jacksonville. But when Nixon opened the shop that same year, she placed it under the control of her for-profit LLC, and whatever became of the charitable fortune she raised in 2024 is now a mystery.I think I can solve this mystery. The money went were all BLM "charity fundraising" money goes. The IRS deadline for Nixon to report what she did with the money she raised in 2024 expired nearly a year ago. A Florida state disclosure she did make said she spent the majority of her charity's haul, $214,000, on "other."I spent 83% of the charitable tax-free money I raised on "other," your honor. I blow through a lot of "other" in a month. And ever since Nixon opened Cafe Resistance--a squat, cinderblock building in a downtrodden part of town that appeared, to a Washington Free Beacon reporter on multiple visits, to operate on a shoestring--her personal income has skyrocketed. This has led legal and tax experts consulted by the Free Beacon to question whether the Florida Democratic Socialist could be exploiting her charity to funnel funds to her personal LLC in violation of nonprofit laws. Can I answer? Unanswered questions include how much of the $270,000 raised in 2024 Nixon actually spent on charitable endeavors at her ramshackle bookstore, and how she is spending the charitable donations she continues to raise for race-related "programming" at her store, such as black history classes and the distribution of free contraceptives. Nixon should have answered these questions nearly a year ago on a Form 990 tax return with the IRS by November of 2025, which would have offered a full accounting of her charity's activities in the 2024 calendar year, but she never did. The Free Beacon contacted Nixon and her campaign on September 25 with a lengthy list of questions related to her charity and LLC, both of which she named the Moxie Group. Nixon did not respond to the inquiry; however, that same day, the Florida Department of State dissolved the Moxie charity as a business entity, and by the afternoon of Sept. 26, the charity--which allegedly "works to empower and uplift underserved and underrepresented communities," according to Nixon's charitable solicitations--had shut down its online fundraising portal, which had been active and soliciting tax-exempt funds the previous day. The Moxie charity's solicitation license in Florida expired January 28, and the Florida Department of Agriculture is now reviewing whether the charity solicited contributions while unregistered, said Aaron Keller, the department's communications director. ... "If the IRS were to determine she is benefiting personally from the charity, its exemption could be revoked and she may have personal tax liability," Sternal added.I know some of you are suspicious that she launched a fake charity just to line her own pockets. I'm sorry that you are such Huge Racists. Anti-racists avoid the truth at all costs and deploy socially-promoted lies.

It's kind of crazy how in the 1990s women on campus were demanding the right to sleep with their profs because they were adults, and then began accusing their hookups of "emotional manipulation" and said that they couldn't REALLY give consent and then all college sex was rape but THEN it was perfectly okay for a man to get naked in the women's locker room and masturbate and if you had a problem YOU WERE THE PROBLEM.

Read the account of the attempted hijacking over at HA. Best part is that a maintenance man who had no flight training helped to charge the cockpit and bring the attacker down. The pilot had been stabbed and was bleeding, so they pulled him out of the cockpit. The plane was still in a steep dive, and he was for the moment alone in the cockpit.
This is the best part: "Hayoun then returned to the cockpit. “I went back to the controls and pulled back on the yoke, because there was no one left in the cockpit,” he said. I asked him how he had known what to do. “I had seen Air Crash Investigation on TV,” he told me, laughing. “I pulled back on the controls, and then another pilot came in and said he was taking control of the aircraft.” Posted by: Tom Servo at September 30, 2026 06:46 PM (ioK7j) 30

Posted by: Oldcat at September 30, 2026 06:53 PM (uhVAy) Well, first this is stuff that is HIGHLY radioactive, and also it doesn't put out as much heat as is needed to run a base. There was some very early discussion in the 50's that a mini-Thorium reactor could be jiggered with this small amount of isotope and put in series, but the problem there is still that the gamma source is highly radioactive and really bad for children, pets, and people who like their genome the was it was issued. I never knew who would come out that door, married doctor or not, but at least she did not have threesomes. At least while I was there. At my nursing reunion, one of my two classmates (who lived above me in an 100+ year old historic home) told me a story. While I was home in MS for the summer she came into the back door to do laundry in the basement. Said roomie was stark nekkid on the couch with a guy and it freaked her out. I dare say! Older Americans, for the most part, have absolutely no idea what home values are now and what it takes for a young person to crack into the homeowner category. A number of years ago a person could find a starter home in a good neighborhood with good schools for 100-200k. That's a 10-20k down payment. If you're frugal with a decent job you can save for a couple of years and swing that and start a family. Now? lol. Good luck. Any home in any place where there are jobs and decent schools is 500k+ and if you're trying to start a family both the husband and wife are working full time and saving everything for years and years to get a chance. And spare me the "Oh but there are great homes in East Bumfuck, Ohio!" Yeah there are no jobs there. And the homes are still 300k+. Well, first this is stuff that is HIGHLY radioactive, and also it doesn't put out as much heat as is needed to run a base. There was some very early discussion in the 50's that a mini-Thorium reactor could be jiggered with this small amount of isotope and put in series, but the problem there is still that the gamma source is highly radioactive and really bad for children, pets, and people who like their genome the was it was issued.

sunnah.com/ibnmajah:4337 Muslims get 72 houris - but how does the math work out? Especially since the Prophet (pbuh) saw that most people in hell are women. I mean, some of the houris could be boys, but still . . . Ibn Majah here says that two of the houris are from heaven and the other seventy are from hell. Wishbone at September 30, 2026 07:33 PM (VQ7/I) I loved calculus after the algebra courses before it. Smooth and easy. I even liked Differential Equations once I got to Quantum Physics and there was a 'real world' purpose to it. Posted by: Oldcat at September 30, 2026 07:35 PM (uhVAy) 153

It will give them character and understand what they have when eventually they get it. That's a part of the boomer hate but the big part IMO is that typically boomers have significantly more money to spend than younger generations and that causes some serious resentment. I have some money now but I sure didn't when I was their age. Posted by: Bertram Cabot, Jr. at September 30, 2026 07:16 PM (Cqx++) Very True. It took a long time before I didn't feel that I was just running in place. I was always moving forward, but the benefits of normal life accrue fairly slowly and then they take off. Someone whining to me that it just isn't fair that they don't have what I have, can just bite my ass. They haven't worked as hard or as long as I have. But I didn't blame the boomers.
Posted by: bob (moron inbobnitus) at September 30, 2026 06:59 PM (b//Sn) --- I think there is a misunderstanding between petulant blaming and analysis of where the mistakes were made. Everyone makes mistakes, the question is how do we avoid the same one and getting out of the situation we are in. To do that we have to re-evaluate things, such as: is a two-income family desirable? Has no-fault divorce been a good thing? Has Free Trade lived up to its promises? There's also the question of "who, whom?" in terms of where society should place its emphasis. Right now we have a retirement system that crushes the young with ever higher payments for every smaller returns. Similarly, we set up a tax/benefit structure based on the idea that old people would die around 62 and not need long-term care, and that families would all have 3 kids or more. That's where the "bootstrap" thing doesn't work because the economy is completely unlike it was in 1973 or even 1993. I bought a house in my 20s in 2001, but I could not do it today and that's a problem. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. 137 Calculus was bitter torture. No one explained why I was there, what was going on, and what this was for. Algebra, Geometry all clear. Trigonometry was questionable. But calculus was "here do this daily mental torture then take this test and also shut up."
