Good morning boys and girls and everything in between. Before we enter the Prayer Revival, just a few house keeping matters to go over. (Rulz for those of you in Watertown)

1) This is an open thread. Feel free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate. Saying a couple of prayers certainly can't hurt either.
2) On that note. Be kind. Be nice.
3) No running with sharp objects. No, don't even ask.

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.
Prayer Requests:
7/30 – David sent an update on his wife, Susan, who we have been praying for as she is treated for cancer. Susan is still doing well and her numbers are headed in the right direction, but they are still having issues with the side effects of the chemotherapy. It is manageable, but they have to increase the number of office visits for additional treatments. Some days are really good right now, but others are only bearable with the Lord’s grace. They are so grateful for the prayers on their behalf.
8/26 Update – Susan’s cough has gotten so bad that they did X-rays on her chest. It might be pneumonia. She is in the hospital. Her sodium and blood pressure are low and she is not eating much now. They are trying to turn this around and ask for everyone’s prayers.
9/2 Update – Susan is back in the ICU. She either has an infection or the cancer has spread to her lungs. Either way, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Susan and please continue them.
9/3 Update – Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Susan. They are expecting her to pass into the hands of the Lord in the next day or so. Please pray for them.
9/21 Update – David sends his thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Susan. She did pass away on 9/4, surrounded by family and friends.
8/30 – SPinRH_F-16 requested prayers for classmate “D.B.”, who has ALS. Please pray that he remains as comfortable as possible and for support for his family as they see him through this. Thank you in advance for your earnest prayers.
9/2 – Bulg asked for prayers for purpose in his life.
9/4 – bluebell sent an update on grammie winger. Grammie was diagnosed with epilepsy now. And she is back in the hospital. They would love prayers for comfort and peace for her.
9/10 – Annie’s Stew asks for prayers for her husband as he recovers from knee surgery.
9/10 – D asked for prayers for the memory of 9/11. May the Lord comfort people in the grief, and may it bring people closer to God.
9/12 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for the W family for comfort and strength as they grieve. The deceased was a sweet 92 year old, despite some big tragedies in her life.
9/15 – Sal asked for prayers as wildfires are out of control in the north of the area and threatening the county seat. They are evacuating part of the town. Sal is not in any danger.
9/17 – Teresa in Fort Worth sent an update with good news and bad news. The bad news is that she has a 9mm mass on her lunch, which means the cancer has metastasized outside of her liver. The pump is keeping the cancer in her liver at bay for now. The good news is that they can zap the nodule out of her lung and will watch for if any more nodules appear. As long as this is the only one, the radiation should suffice. She meets with a radiation oncologist on 9/25.
9/18 – Random Dave posted an update to his job progress. He is still looking for FT work, but has accepted a substitute teacher position (more flexibility for interviews, some income to slow the bleeding). He asks for prayers that the interview results he is waiting on will get back to him soon, especially if one is the “right job”. If any are “not the right job”, they would fall away soon and get back to him, and that if all of them are “not the right job”, the ‘right job” would show itself aggressively, so he doesn’t miss it! He also thanks the Horde and the folks at church for their prayers and support.
9/18 – Tonypete asked for prayers for #1 son. He has something going on which is, as yet, undiagnosed. He is under care now, so that is a positive step. Prayers also for his wife and daughter #2. Mom is a spoiled princess who consistently chooses the worst path of action regarding #2.
9/18 – Brother Tim posted that he has been overnight in his car more than indoors. He is convinced that his retirement/resignation was a severe error, a result of fatigue and depression. He asks for prayers.

On my 2nd cuppa already. MegaRoy woke me up early, he's really aging out quickly these days. Do cats age like dogs, about seven years for every 12 calendar months? Big dogs somewhat faster? MegaRoy is a Sep 2011 baby, which makes him 105 this month. And he's a really large kitty too. Love that monster footed long tailed little 'm' moron cat.

And how did you know her ? At work or through organizations in the community?

I was talking to a lady who works getting things together at the supermarket for home delivery to folks. In the past two weeks her father died, preceding by his brother by a month. She was understandably devastated, but got some comfort that at the funeral home the place was filled to overflowing . She apologized and thanked the people who were parking cars and one of them said, "We are always glad when people are remembered and a crowd shows up to recall and honor them ."

It's the 26th of Oct, this year will be 43 for us. We've got a nice cabin reserved on Smith Lake where we're planning to spend the full week just chilling, and exploring the local area oon the motorcycles.

We're hoping he has a few more years in him as he is a 100% indoor cat. I like 75 a lot better than 105. He spends most of his day in Junior-ette's room hanging out with her. He comes downstairs for a crunchy snack and to sit on the porch for a bit, then heads back up tohis window to chill, nap, and guard his little human.

I always assumed ski season was the busiest in Vermont. When my folks moved there I learned leaf peeping season is even more popular. People reserve hotel rooms up to a year in advance just see the colors.

And eat tasty maple syrup on waffles.

58 Morning Horde. 2 prayer requests. Lynnel who's fighting the good fight with terminal brain cancer, you've prayed for her before. Now she's having issues with the skin on her legs oozing and this is after a compound fracture to her ankle.
For Kelly who was just diagnosed with bladder cancer. The doctors are evaluating his options.

We've been in a severe drought all year with reservoir levels at historic lows. There was speculation that it would affect the aspen change, That may have been a factor in what seems like a more rapid transition, compared to other years.

P.S. I know the single color aspen cannot compare with the foliage back east, but it's all we have.

63 I have a bunch, maybe about 50 photos of the sunrise here. Most were taken during the fall and winter months because they appear more colorful and vibrant than spring and summer.

Plus, I can see more of the sky with the leaves off the trees... given the position of the sun at that time of the year.

66 Mrs Cop and I have just returned from Italy after a 10 day pilgrimage. It was way cool to trod the ground where saints walked, but we're exhausted.

Lots of spiritual experiences. As a lay brother of the Order of Preachers (i.e., the Domincans), it was a great blessing to be able to celebrate Mass at the shrines of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Pier Frassati. One of the neatest experiences was being able to celebrate Mass inside the very church where St. Anthony of Padua had been pastor. Also, when we were celebrating Mass at one of the side chapels at the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore, some tourists and a habited sister popped-in to receive Communion with us.

Shout-outs to bar-tenders Gianluc and Gianmarco for the libations, but we're happy to be home.

We did a tour bus with one of our former pastors, Father John. Fr. John was the common link. There were 42 on our bus.

Our bus driver, Luigi, was able to maneuver that big bus like a sports car: an extremely skilled driver. However, at one point when driving to into Rome, a car cut-off the bus; Luigi started shouting and waving his hands -- the tour guide just said, "I don't think I can translate this for you." LOL.

81 Am going to Staples to copy the service for nursing home. It's too many pages for our home copier. Just stopped to feed the stray cat colony behind a man's house. I was happy to see and smell a few late roses on a bush there.

We also have a couple of gifts cards left over from
Christmas and given by the kindly parents of the kids on spouse's school bus route so we can get a nice breakfast thing at Panera's.

84 Speaking of BBC TV, I have the BritBox add-on to my Prime Video account. There are a lot of police procedurals series to watch. Lots of girl bosses in the higher ranking positions of the police forces, of course.

I recently completed series one of 'Sherwood.' It's very good with only a small amount of woke shit. The police detective in charge of the investigation is, surprisingly, a white male, as is his investigative partner. And he's married to -- get this -- a white woman. In fact, all the couples in the show are married to same-race partners.

Last night, I started series two. My goodness. It's a complete reversal as woke themes are flying everywhere.

Looking at different seeds/seed pods, insects, animals, and so on. There's quite a bit of lore out there. The fuzzy caterpillars around here are supposed to be a pretty good predictor... depending on the strips and color.
