Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Federal Appeals Court Keeps Stay on Trump's Ballot-Checking Order While Supreme Court Dithers; Supreme Court Refuses to Allow Missouri to Use Its Redrawn MapsI thought this foreign judge had already been overturned by the Supreme Court? Did she once again ignore the Supreme Court and impose her stay despite the Supreme Court just overruling her last stay? I'm not sure. But she did re-impose her stay, and a three-judge appeals court panel -- made up entirely of Biden appointees -- refused to lift the stay. What they're doing is delaying this as long as possible so that they can then claim "It will cause chaos to implement this policy at this late date, there's just not enough time to implement it properly."An appeals court on Thursday upheld a block on President Donald Trump's executive order limiting mail voting, a decision that comes as the Supreme Court considers the same case and states have already started sending out ballots for the high-stakes midterm elections. The three-judge panel refused to lift a preliminary injunction against the order issued last week by U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani. It prohibits the U.S. Postal Service from implementing Trump's directive. The Postal Service has said it would not deliver ballots from states that did not pre-clear their envelope design with the federal government and submit a list of voters to an online portal, which has yet to be activated. Election officials warn that it's impossible to comply with those terms, especially with the first mail ballots already being sent out in Alabama, North Carolina and Wisconsin.LOL, sure. The scumbags of the Supreme Court have once again given Democrats a hand and refused to allow the people of Missouri to change their congressional maps. The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday declined for the second time to intervene in a dispute over redistricting maps in Missouri. The high court ruling follows a federal judge in Missouri on Tuesday temporarily blocked the state from using its 2022 congressional districts in the midterms. That ruling came just moments after the Supreme Court let stand a decision from the Missouri Supreme Court ordering Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins to use the 2022 map. An anti-gerrymandering group, People Not Politicians, on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a lower court's order from Tuesday night, mandating Missouri use a GOP redistricting map. The Supreme Court's decision Thursday appears to be the end of the push to use the 2025 redistricting map, according to the Associated Press.Sorry for the thin post. I'm bushed. The argument went like this: "We're gonna put your eceltion vitory on hold while we check out whether or not it's kosher; in the meanwhile, we'll let gays get married." [Insert dithering for several months. Then...) "Oh, look a bunch of gays have already gotten married, now that we temporarily allowed it. There were many words and expletives but it mostly boiled down to the Peter principle. Good lawyers tend to remain lawyers. But lets play your game. If Trump "CAN'T" pull it off ? Then he's not the man we need for the job. On to the next one.
Posted by: Howdy at September 10, 2026 07:05 PM (3Sa9R) To reiterate: he wants to win the game, not the war. The game is hearts and minds and soft shit and letting the tyrants look like the tyrants they are. It's trivial to just say fuck everything and start killing people, but that's not the solution he's going for. You could make the argument that there is no stopping the irrational hatred of a communist without killing them. You can also make the argument that you don't need to stop them if you just squeeze them out of relevance by sustained societal pressure and mean girl meme-y bullshit over time. Can we have a right wing judge make some declarations and rulings for us? Why is it just left leaning judges?
Posted by: Biggest Alfredo at September 10, 2026 07:08 PM (8qVv9) I have this answer. Because at the end, at the top, there really ain't much left or right. They are all "establishment judges". Ruling class judges. And they've conned the very people they rule against into supporting them the most. To accept "rule of law" as some kind of virtue. Like bowing their heads in obedience while getting kicked in the nuts. Daily. Posted by: Howdy at September 10, 2026 07:11 PM (3Sa9R) 88
Knowing Trump the $5000 is just the opening offer.
If the Republicans win he’ll negotiate it down to $2500 or $1000. I’d cash that check. Not much different from W’s Rebate checks, or stimulus checks in 2020. Posted by: SpeakingOf at September 10, 2026 07:12 PM (6ydKt) 89

Dissolving the Union into what? Only two states can hack being on their own—Texas and California; because they have coasts, international borders, water and a diversified industry. You also have the absolutely massive horror show of what to do with all of the T-Bills, debts instruments, entitlements, FHA mortgage loans, etc. Who gets Fort Knox? And California would be invaded the 2nd day of dissolution by China who would instantly set up a beachhead. Then they would tech siege the remaining Western world. Another facet of your pet idea: The vast majority of people actually don't mind, and may prefer being lorded over by unelected Communist Usurpers. 1/3rd of the people during the American Revolution were on breaking ties with King George, 1/3rd wanted to stay with England, and the rest didn't care either way. Most people do not consider America their home, rather an Economic Opportunity Zone, and there is very little practical love for Freedom and Liberty. I would suggest that the majority of the past two generations don't even have Freedom and Liberty in their vocabulary and wouldn't know how to internally express it, let alone risk their Nihilistic narcissistic lives to securing it. There will be friction. There will be losses. We won't have utopia overnight. But we're on the right track. Ignore the chaff. Ignore the FUD. Watch actual people.
