Victory Lap: Communist Jihadi Zohran Mamdani Does "Interfaith" Walk on 9/11, Which Ends at... Islamic Center

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New Yorkers of all faiths on Thursday participated in a tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Approximately 100 people joined the Children of Abraham Peace Walk, the New York Post reported.
The peace walk was created for people to "come together to remember those we've lost, and to recommit to our shared vision of safety in solidarity," according to an online flyer.

Muslims were the Real Victims of 9/11, you know. Zohran Mamdani has said so repeatedly, "centering" his own experience in being pulled out of class on 9/11 out of fear -- not reality, fear by a leftwing teaching staff-- that he might be "bullied."

I mean, that's the important thing. Not the 2,997 people killed by his cousins, but the fact that a left-wing AWFUL thought he might be briefly bullied.

Amid calls for him to skip the ceremonies altogether, Mamdani only came for the end of the commemoration at the Islamic Center of New York City.
The walk started at the Hebrew Union College before stopping by Judson Church, and then continued on to the Islamic Center, where Mamdani delivered remarks remembering the victims of 9/11 and thanking first responders for their service.

Rep. Mike Lawler is calling on NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani to skip the Sept. 11 memorial in Manhattan -- with a petition signed by over 100,000 people, led by 9/11 families, backing the demand.
Lawler ripped Mamdani as a "vile antisemite" who has "associated with people who believe America deserved 9/11," pointing to the mayor's ties to far-left activist Hasan Piker and others who have downplayed or justified the attacks. A petition from 9/11 families details Mamdani's praise of Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who was named as an alleged co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
The backlash comes as the nation prepares to mark 25 years since the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people -- and Republicans say Mamdani's presence would be an insult to the families and first responders who lived through it.

Lawler told FOX News: "From my vantage point, I don't think he should be there, and I think most New Yorkers agree that he should not be there. Certainly, the 9/11 families and the first responders believe he should not be there."
The petition from 9/11 families goes further than Lawler's comments. It details Mamdani's praise of Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj -- named as an alleged co-conspirator in the 1993 WTC bombing -- and his endorsement of a candidate who described 9/11 as something "a couple of people did in the context of U.S. capitalism, racism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia."
That same candidate also expressed sympathy for Ahmed Ferhani, who pleaded guilty to plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue.
Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger took aim at Mamdani as well, saying he shouldn't attend "until he can actually call out terror groups around the world for what they want to do to this country, and that includes Hamas."

NYPD Commisioner Jessica Tisch apparently has a frosty relationship with Mamdani, feeling that he -- get this -- celebrates terrorists instead of opposing them.

She passive-aggressively blasted those blurring the lines between heroes and terrorists. She didn't mention Mamdani by name, but most believe she meant him.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch pointedly called Wednesday for "moral clarity" ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks -- decrying revisionists who blur the lines between heroes and terrorists.
Tisch made the remarks before a stone-faced Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other NYPD and city officials as they unveiled a new 9/11 Memorial Wall at One Police Plaza.
The wall -- which includes 469 new names, commemorating NYPD members who have died of Ground Zero-related illnesses -- preserves the unfathomable devastation from the attack on the World Trade Center towers and the heroism in response, Tisch said.
"Preserving that history also means preserving its moral clarity," she said, addressing an audience of 9/11 first responders' families.
"The men who attacked this city were terrorists. The men and women who ran into the towers to save innocent lives were heroes," she said.
"Twenty-five years cannot be allowed to blur that distinction and shame on those who do."
The usually straight-shooting top cop left the specific culprits unclear. But the open-to-interpretation condemnation nonetheless set tongues wagging, particularly as Mamdani -- both the Big Apple's first socialist and first Muslim mayor -- leads the city through a politically fractious run-up to the terror attacks' quarter-century anniversary on Friday.
Several lefties in Mamdani's orbit have come under fire for their views on the attacks, notably online personality Hasan Piker, who previously said that "America deserved 9/11." Piker has since walked back his 2019 comments, saying that he meant US actions in the Middle East have a boomerang effect.

This might be what prompted her to blast Mamdani: Mamdani signed a bill to make 9/11 documents available to the public, and then gave this presentation pen to a lawyer for an Al Qaeda terrorist.

And just days before Tisch's remarks, she found herself smack in the middle of a controversy as Mamdani -- fresh off signing an executive order recognizing 9/11 -- asked her to hand a ceremonial pen to his chief counsel Ramzi Kassem, a civil rights attorney who once represented an al-Qaeda terrorist.
Three attendees at the NYPD ceremony told The Post they snickered when Tisch made her remarks on "moral clarity," and perceived it as a dig.
"It definitely sounded like she took a shot at the mayor, especially after the pen incident last week," said one attendee.
Mamdani, for his part, didn't flinch as Tisch made her remarks.
NYPD officials didn't clarify at whom Tisch's remarks were pointed, when pressed by The Post.

Former Governor George Pataki says Mamdani's refusal to condemn the phrase "globalize the intifada" means he should not attend the 25th anniversary memorial for 9/11 -- aligning with a petition against his attendance that over 100,000 victims' families have signed.
Pataki also called it "ridiculous" to say Mamdani is being excluded because of his faith. "Muslims have always been included... but it's different when you tolerate -- let alone encourage -- violence. Then you don't belong there. This is about the families." Not attending, he added, "would be a sign of respect for the suffering that the families still face 25 years later."

My nearby hometown (Quincy) recently had a city council meeting where the local mosque (small, run by a woman it seems) was complaining that some councilman had said negative things bout Islam on his social media. So the (female) mayor was very concerned about "Islamophobia".

Quincy is 86% white (non-Hispanic), and 99% not foreign born, so I think there are only a few Muslims, but sure, they are the victims, of course.
