The Morning Report — 9/ 8 /26

GreasingNewsom.jpg

Good morning kids. Hope you all had a relaxing Labor Day holiday... With that in mind,I give you the always inspiring words of the great Ronald Reagan on his final Labor Day in office back in September of 1988.

We salute working people because they have built our land with skill, energy, and resourcefulness, transforming raw materials into a shining edifice of freedom and prosperity. On Labor Day we recognize these achievements and reflect on the meaning and dignity of work and on the values it protects and strengthens — the values we as a nation hold most dear.. . Let us always remember that so much of what we are, we owe to working men and women.

Today, in spite of everything, we have some outstanding economic news that the Commie propagandists are doing their best to suppress. First, wow!

American manufacturing is on the rebound — and that good news could hardly come at a better time for President Donald Trump, as Republicans gird themselves for the midterm elections just two months from now.

Manufacturing isn’t the only sector that’s on a hiring spree; businesses across the board added 162,000 new jobs in August.

Even The New York Times called the latest employment numbers “zesty.”

The paper quoted T. Rowe Price’s chief US economist, Blerina Uruci: “It’s a very good report . . . And it perhaps shows that financial conditions more broadly are not that tight.”

The workforce participation rate rose as well — which matters, because people who drop out of the labor force are invisible in unemployment rates that only count those who are looking for work... Establishment economists predicted none of this.

You can bet your sweet ass they didn't, and you can bet they were rooting for our economy to completely collapse. And yet we also have this to cheer about:

The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday night that the analysis shows an extremely strong job market for those between 22 and 34 years of age without diplomas from a higher education institution. . . The historically low unemployment rate among this demographic, which rivals lows since 2003, breaks with the rates of unemployment among college-educated peers in the same age window, per the analysis . . .The report comes days after an extremely strong jobs report on Friday, with the United States adding 162,000 jobs in August with unemployment holding at 4.1 percent, the same rate as in July. The report blew past economists’ forecast of just 55,000 jobs and an uptick in unemployment to 4.2 percent.

And with that we have the forces of darkness and evil in the form of the Democrat Party ready as they have been for 200 years set to strike:

After watching Zohran Mamdani upset Andrew Cuomo in last year’s mayoral race, both radicals and relative moderates alike took the hint: Voters are desperate for candidates who speak to the frustration they feel at the gas pump, in the grocery line and after every utility payment. . . Embattled Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer won’t shut up about his conference’s “affordability agenda,” and the progressive caucus in the House is pitching itself using the exact same phrase. “Democrats in Key Senate Races Campaign on Addressing GOP Affordability Crisis, Bringing Down Costs, and Making Life Easier,” crowed the wordy headline of a Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee press release issued on Friday.

In the opening months of their reign, they swiped taxpayers’ credit card for $1.9 trillion. So they swiped again, this time running up a tab of well over $700 billion for what they dubbed the “Inflation Reduction Act.”That’s right, they dumped almost $3 trillion in cold hard cash into the economy under the supposition that would make everyone’s dollar go further.

Supply and demand: What is it? . . . Dismissing them as a hoax is folly. But they’d be well within their rights to remind Americans that Democrats’ only real interest in “affordability” is as a cynical slogan. And that all of their actual ideas undermine it in practice.

Don't be fooled by the feud between the alleged Moderates and the DSA. None of it is about policy. It's about control of the Democrat Party as well as how best to bamboozle the American people into thinking they have their and America's best interests at heart, and not the dismantling of America as founded and replacing it with a degenerate Socialist shit hole as was the fate of much of Europe and the world post the Second World War. Yeah, we won the war but the peace, not so much.

And so now, here's greasy Greaseball Newsom, the likely Democrat nominee for 2028:

Co-host Amna Nawaz asked, “So, let me ask you about how Democrats can win back control of Congress, because it’s been a pretty revealing primary season for the party, right? A reckoning, some have called it, too. You saw how many wins DSA candidates, Democratic Socialist candidates, were able to win, Donavan McKinney in Michigan, Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, he doesn’t identify as DSA, but was sort of aligned with them. If you have these candidates and this platform that is clearly animating the base, energizing turnout, should more of those ideas be worked into the broader Democratic platform?” Nawaz then cut in to say, “But there seems to be a little distance between some leadership and those DSA candidates.”

Newsom responded, “But not the ideas. We want — I believe in universal healthcare, and I believe in Medicare for All. The party does overwhelmingly, you poll people in the party. So, if it’s about more money in your pocket, lowering costs, it’s about getting money out of politics, and it’s about Medicare for All, I think we’re pretty aligned. It’s about recognizing that we’ve got a planet that is getting hotter and drier, and that we’ve got to address the issue of climate change, and we want energy security, and we want to move off fossil fuels. That’s a DSA position. That’s a mainstream position within the Democratic Party. So, I think, in many ways — it’s just a label. And it’s a familiar — forgive me, you’re talking to the wrong person, it’s such a familiar label to me. We called them progressives. It was the Green Party. I ran against the Green Party. It sounded — the exact same platform 20 years ago, maybe it’s because I’m from the Bay Area, maybe it’s because I’m from California. And I think it’s healthy. I just think it’s — I’m not consumed by this.

And he's supposedly mainstream and moderate. They're all scum, criminals, vermin and tyrants. Poor Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave. And if we're not careful, we'll be spinning right along with him as the last tiny vestiges of America as founded are utterly annihilated.

On that positive note, I bid you all to . . .

Have a good day.

22 Voters are desperate for candidates who speak to the frustration they feel at the gas pump, in the grocery line and after every utility payment. .

Obama: "Under my policies, energy prices will necessarily increase". (referring to shutting down Big Coal).

Europe: Lets shut down all oil and gas production in the North Sea and see what happens. And while we are at it, destroy our agricultural economy.

AI Data Centers = Bad
80 million illegal aliens = Good.

And lets not forget, Ukraine and Russia, #1 and #2 in wheat and grain exporters, are busy destroying each other's ability to feed the world.

So the guy who made the US energy independent, has worked to stop the Eastern European war, and has gone after the food cartels is the guy to blame, and we need to return to power those who brought us all of these problems.

I get that at a CC's Coffee here (Community Coffee, their coffee shops). The other day I'd asked to have my coffee reheated a bit in the microwave, and they did so cheerfully . . . and about fifteen minutes later the counter lady (who was our age) brought me out a free cup of the same, "For your trouble."

Plus they are a bit cheaper than most coffee shops in town.

And about half of those 10ish weren't even functional.

She managed to graduate and go on to college, so I suspect the admin never found out who had done it.

The Catholic schoolgirl look has never turned me on particularly. But when I first dated the future Mrs. Wolfus No. 2, she occasionally wore a plaid skirt like that. She'd graduated from a public high school the year before, so it wasn't her uniform; it must have been a conscious fashion choice. I thought it pretty damn nice.

(She made a LOT of good conscious fashion choices)

Maybe we both need algebra refresher courses because the high school diploma added no value.

Lets say I need to move a trailer full of stuff. The freight logistics guy sees a domestic with a HS diploma, and a foreigner with jungle smarts and chooses the latter. The HS diploma adds zero value because the employer calculated the risks of having an illiterate illegal alien potentially ruining his business or the domestic with a HS diploma doing same.

The HS diploma added no value over the evaluation of the risk.

Actually it was extremely impressive. First thing you get wrong - it was 10 fully functional mines mixed in with 190 decoys, which could not be proven to be decoys until someone checked them out.

Second, it was in a relatively large body of water, hundred of square miles, and the entire operation was carried out under the constant threat of drone and missile fire.

Third, due to the threat of drone and missile fire the entire operation was carried out under water, with submersible vehicles and men in scuba gear. Nothing like that has ever been done on this scale before.

So yes, it was extremely impressive.

Never heard of the place, but I have now and will never darken it's door with my shadow.

Still, they have the right idea.

232 I guess you missed that part where Tucker called for Trump to be immediately impeached and also said that he could only support radical leftists from now on, because they’re the only ones that hate Jews enough.

Maybe you’re comfortable being friends with those who want you dead. I’m not.

Lots of people have called for Trump to be immediately impeached and also said that he could only support radical leftists from now on. I don't want them in power but I wouldn't cross the street to avoid them.

I'm far more tolerant in my personal life than I am in my politics.

To watch all four, would mean 12 hours at the cinema.

248 Rule #1: Drown everything in butter. This is how you get to be a top chef. Make a saucy sauce put some green stuff on top and you too can be an expert.

It's all good, but you're just phoning it in. If butter is not your thing then use olive oil. Volume does not make you a better chef.

Look what's happening to that asshole, Salt Bae. How can you fuck up cooking meat?
