Whistleblower: NY AG and Gigantic Hag "Tish" James Commanded Her Underlings to Find (or Contrive) Criminal Charges Against Trump -- and His Friends and Allies

This is abuse of office. A prosecutor is supposed to investigate a crime and find the guilty party, not investigate a person to discover crimes (or, in this case, "crimes").

Before anyone can say it: Nothing will happen, of course.

Prosecutor in NY AG Letitia James' office says he was ordered to dig up dirt on Trump allies: report

A veteran prosecutor in state Attorney General Letitia James' office claims he was ordered to dig up dirt on people and groups "affiliated with Donald Trump," according to a bombshell report.

Daniel Wiesenfeld, a former Brooklyn prosecutor who now works in James' Investor Protection Bureau, said his boss instructed him "to find and pursue crimes" committed by Trump allies, according to a since-deleted email obtained by the Times-Union.

Wiesenfeld alleged in his email on Friday that Bureau Chief Shamiso Maswoswe specifically directed him to target "Trump himself, Truth Social, Hewlett Packard (DOJ approved merger)... without having a credible reason for targeting the organizations and individuals," the outlet reported.

...

"If you believe Trump is using the [Department of Justice] attorneys to prosecute his enemies and further his political interests, you should find it equally troubling that Tish [James] is doing exactly the same thing," Wiesenfeld allegedly wrote in the message, which went to some 2,000 staffers before being yanked.

"I ask you that you not serve as Tish's personal attorneys by targeting her political enemies," he allegedly wrote. "Instead, I hope you choose to prosecute crimes and find the individuals accountable, rather than targeting individuals and then finding crimes."

Weisenfeld asked that colleagues focus on prosecuting "rampant nonprofit homeless shelter fraud and antisemitic crimes in and around synagogues," and accused James of wasting "significant public taxpayer dollars to target convenient public enemies," Times-Union reported.

...

During her 2018 campaign, James vowed to "prosecute the president for crimes committed in New York state" if she was elected -- and kept her word after taking over the office.

...

Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo's former aide Melissa DeRosa ripped James on X Sunday.

"@TishJames has been abusing her office for political gain for years.

"Don't criticize Trump's use of DOJ if you're not going to call out hers -/ it's wrong when either side does it."

I don't think Trump is doing this at all. He's prosecuting the people who wrongfully prosecuted him -- and if, as they say, "no one is above the law," then they have endorsed their own prosecutions.

Remember, Trump talked about throwing Hillary in jail but as soon as he was elected he ditched that entirely, implicitly conceding it was just campaign fodder.

More:

His first-hand knowledge doesn't directly implicate James: He alleges only that his direct superior, Investor Protection Bureau Chief Shamiso Maswoswe, told him to target "Trump himself, Truth Social, Hewlett Packard (DOJ approved merger)" without bothering to first find "a credible reason for targeting the organizations and individuals."

But he (understandably) believes Maswoswe was following orders from James, who after all ran for the office vowing to target Trump.

The AG's office of course denies everything, immediately put Wiesenfeld on leave and no doubt will seek to crucify him.

After all, this is highly credible testimony that could easily be the final nail in tossing James' civil-case victory over Trump and quite possibly cost her this fall's election -- and even, should investigators find enough other testimony or hard evidence, put her in serious criminal jeopardy.

...

Tish James prefers to prosecute cops and her political enemies; let's hope she's soon out of government, if not in prison.

Is the bad ad gone? I only noticed it a couple of weeks ago and wrongly assumed that whatever company was paying for the ad would just stop paying for it and it would go away. I didn't expect them to camp on the site forever.

I think it's gone now. I hope.

50 Of all the jaw-dropping Third World or Soviet bloc depredations inflicted on the country (which are only possible in a country with a civic culture and populace degraded nearly beyond recognition), the absurd and outrageous Vyshinsky-style prosecutions of Trump (both state and federal) do stand out.

I'd include the holocaust of collateral actions, like state legislatures crafting "laws" to allow this persecution, and especially the (ongoing) mau-mau'ing and actual attempted destruction of lawyers working to defend Trump.

There are baby steps being taken (removing ABA as certifying authority for law schools), but in context they are baby steps. The Legal Cult of course can't imagine contemplating that their entire worship-object (the system) is irredeemably rotten due to the degraded people in it (hey, smart guy! went to my law school!).

But it's all a symptom of general decline, not usually the driver.

89 Think Matt Braynard found 15K illegitimate votes counted in NV in 2020 within a few days of the "election". Sitting at his desk using public records. Deceased, under-age, or out of state (there's actually a federal database for that, set up in the 90s, when there was a trace of the civic culture left in the "elites").

He then found that number and more (above the official "margin", I believe) in GA.

This was a guy in his underwear, with a laptop. It's entirely apart from the hilariously identical xeroxed ballots from one GA county, or the statistically improbably vote shares in late drops in GA and MI, or of course the comical lack of integrity in Wayne County MI basic election checks, or the historically unique and wild vote pattern across the state of WI.

Doves and pigeons don't mob other birds, there is a PNW Indian story about how the dove is the Turkey Buzzard's best friend for that reason.

Crows tend to stick to a schedule, but they are also are opportunists. A friend of mine says the crows go hang out after lunch at the school because there is tossed food there, and the weekends and during fairs they are completely missing because they hang out at the fairgrounds and the open markets for tossed and dropped food.

Put out walnuts and peanuts and they will come back, and that is stuff the pigeons can't eat.
You might get squirrels, though.

That was Trump 1.0. T1 didn't fully understand what time it was.

T1 thought that he won the election and would be given the same discretion to govern that every other president was given. He didn't realize how feral the government really was and how deep the rot went.

But Trump 2.0 knows. If T1 knew what T2 knows, then I think he wouldn't have let Hillary slide.

168 Some research indicates hummingbirds hitch a ride on other, larger migratory birds.

They sure look rode hard and put away wet when they arrive north in the Spring.

What's cool, if you put feeders out every year, they remember your house. They will let you know they have arrived by hovering in front of every window to herald their arrival. "Why isn't the feeder out yet!" in bird speak.

170 We've got two varieties of hummingbirds here that are native and don't "winter" somewhere else. One feeder out back, interesting to see the pattern of "demand" for the free food. Varies quite a bit with the seasons. Amazing to me they can find enough to eat in this ecosystem, but there it is. They're vicious, but birds generally are very nasty critters - to each other.

The old hummingbird exhibit at the SD Zoo was great. Small, kinda cramped. Cool. A million varieties of birds, all close by, easily viewed. The new, fancy-with-the-donor-names-on-the-side exhibit? Have gone in a few times, literally haven't seen a hummingbird. Nicely done!

185 50 Of all the jaw-dropping Third World or Soviet bloc depredations inflicted on the country (which are only possible in a country with a civic culture and populace degraded nearly beyond recognition), the absurd and outrageous Vyshinsky-style prosecutions of Trump (both state and federal) do stand out.

Of course. They're all guilty as hammered sin. All you have to do is bother chasing down the crimes. It's not as if they're careful.

The problem is finding cops to arrest them and judges and juries to convict them.

Not to worry!
