Good morning kids. If you can't see where this is heading, you're blind. Or a co-conspirator! what happens and the life or death consequences when they take officers who are untrained and given a directive that is very far from protecting the public,” Wu said. Boston has “already done everything possible” to stop ICE from accessing public property, the mayor said, adding that the city “will be doing whatever we can to communicate with private property owners.” The Department of Homeland Security responded to Wu’s plan Monday, saying the “pro-criminal mayor” is “trying to intimidate Bostonians,” knowing “she has ZERO authority to block ICE from utilizing private property.”The immediate evil of sic-ing the government on the citizenry is obvious, the tax assessors will be out in force or else some sort of zoning or other concocted civil penalties will be used against innocent people to prevent legitimate law enforcement from doing the exact opposite of what Michelle Wu and her ilk have blood libeled them. That is, the apprehension and removal of illegal alien invaders, some of them probably violent criminals. Naturally, Massachusetts is a solidly blue state and so the courts and state government will be squarely behind Michelle Wu, should citizens seek redress at that level, and likely not get it, The horrible and bitter irony is that Massachusetts was one of the cradles of the American revolution. And 250 years on look what the hell it's devolved into. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Maycon Souto Dos Reis, a Brazilian national convicted of aggravated murder, in Massachusetts on August 3. Dos Reis had fled Brazil after being sentenced to over 14 years in prison and entered the U.S. illegally in June 2024, where he was initially apprehended but released under Biden government policies. . The arrest occurred in Massachusetts on August 3, 2024, just two days before Governor Maura Healey signed the PROTECT Act, which imposes new restrictions on ICE operations in the Bay State. . . “This is yet another example of what the media often characterizes as a non-criminal, when in reality, many of these individuals are murderers, sexual predators, gang members, and more: They simply do not have a criminal record in the United States.” – David Wesling, Acting ICE ERO Boston Field Office DirectorMaura Healy, who just signed this abomination into law! The bill allows unborn babies to be aborted throughout pregnancy and strikes down the state’s 24-week limit, which had exceptions for the life of the mother and a deadly fetal diagnosis. Under the bill, doctors have the discretion to decide whether or not to perform a late-term abortion. . . Several Massachusetts... Democrats Break with Party over ‘Barbaric’ New Law Legalizing Abortions Up Until Birth. But of course a corrupt government is one thing, but I'd lay better than even odds that the names and addresses of anyone who wants to lease space to ICE or the he DHS will somehow wind up in the hands of Antifa, La Raza and any and all other Leftist/Democrat approved and or aligned official-unofficial terror squads. Bad enough a criminal government will tax you out of existence but failing that, a molotov cocktail or two through your window is a hell of a lot more persuasive, nein?! Have a good day,

Regarding the article about unions silencing workers.
Both my mother and brother have had to deal with unions as nurses. My mom had to threaten violence against a union rep because he was ignoring her demand to be a Beck employee. My brother came close to hiring a lawyer when he did the same thing. A lot of unions need to have their fangs pulled in a very public manner. Posted by: NR Pax at August 18, 2026 07:31 AM (+4yJ5) 20

Judge Trenga’s order came after a lawsuit was filed by 21 Democrat-controlled states claiming that the government has no right to the information and would need individual subpoenas for each and every record, according to Freight Waves.
Based on what? Foreigners don't have Constitutional protections in the US. That is why they are barred from firearm ownership and its allegedly illegal for them to vote, serve on juries, or forced to pay taxes on income earned outside the US. If a state wants to extend Constitutional protections to them, then fine, but it's limited to the jurisdiction of the State and when it doesn't conflict with existing federal law. On every single topic, Democrats response appears to be to go as hard left as possible to appease the rapid communists in their base. The party has become unrecognizable over the last few years and they don't appear to be slowing down.
They might appease the beast for a while and win in a few deep blue areas where immigrants and minorities dominate but I don't think there's a chance this will work out well for them in the longterm. Posted by: JackStraw at August 18, 2026 07:43 AM (viF8m) 34

So, therefore, a foreign citizen in this country is subject to this country’s laws.
Yet in practice, the foreigner is superior in every way to the citizen. A citizen, often depending on skin color, will be hit with felonies while foreigners worst crimes are dismissed or converted into misdemeanors. Income earned by foreigners, is not taxed if earned outside the US, and is rarely taxed when "earned" inside the US. Foreigners, instantly are eligible for full-payout social security, that is certainly not true for most Americans Foreigners have no responsibility to pay taxes, serve on juries, or file a Selective Service Registration. Yet they get all of if not more of the public services, can own property, operate a business, free access to schools, hospitals, courts, parks while exempt from zoning and licensing laws. That assumes a return to a Democrat administration. It might not get a lot coverage, good news for us rarely does, but the Trump administration has been doing lots of work to clean up elections across the country. Not saying everything is perfect but real changes are happening that encourage more honest voting. Democrats need to cheat massively at the federal level to win. If they didn't they wouldn't be so dedicated to cheating. And despite the far left media bleating I'm not seeing a huge constituency for allowing a new wave of illegals to flood the country. Comcast is blocking access to mail.isp.net:110 because this port is not encrypted, making it vulnerable to security risks and potential compromise of email account information. The recommended alternative is to use Port 995 with SSL, which provides a secure means of retrieving email without affecting how you manage your mailbox. This change is part of Comcast's efforts to enhance the security and privacy of email communications for its customers.
I have a legacy email that I have been using for ~30 years using POP3 unencrypted. On Friday afternoon, my email in my home, which uses Comcast internet, stopped some time after 12:17 PM. Interesting, my iPhone worked over cellular data. Unfortunately, my legacy ISP doesn’t support POP3 encrypted (port 995), so I will have to switch to IMAP. Ugh!! However, the judiciary is responsible for either permitting or striking down the law/policy/directives of the mayor or governor. The gatekeepers, so to speak. And they are squarely aligned with the left. I think this is the problem. Just this morning, more information about Chinese interference in our elections in 2016 and 2020 was released by the DOJ. Will the media mention it? Of course not. The GOP has a multi-generational reputation of grabbing Defeat from the jaws of Victory. Many view it as pure theater and Uniparty. Look at how vicious the Cornyn v Paxton primary race was compare to the milk-toast campaign being run to contest the generals. This is not new. Romney fought like he was possessed by a demon to win the GOP nomination, then laid down before Obama. Dittos with McCain, cheating and engaging in fraud in the primaries (remember Florida?) and then taking a nap to let Obama get an insurmountable lead to the November finish line. Women kill. A lot. And even more women will defend that murder.* We prefer the lie, the gross, disgusting lie, over the truth. Feminine virtue can only exists within masculine justice. And justice cannot exist where women are given governmental power over men--e.g., teachers, politicians, judges. And ... voting. 1.126 million abortions last year in the US. Only 1%, by most estimates, were for rape, incest or serious health related. Over 1 million murders. And some 3,400 post-birth murders, euphemistically classified as SIDS. By comparison, men only committed roughly 13k to 14k murders last year. *celebrate it even. Clancy has $700k raised; witness the cheering, clapping and smiles by women as the governor signed the law making no-excuse abortion up to birth legal. What they refuse to admit is this is not a flow in the design, it was done specifically to prevent what Democrats want, mob rule. The last of the 13 colonies to sign the Constitution was my small state, Rhode Island. The delegation held out for a year and refused to sign because they were afraid of losing the right to govern the state according to the wishes of the citizens of Rhode Island and have their desires overwhelmed by large states with bigger populations. They know this. At least some of the less stupid. They just refuse to acknowledge it because they want an all powerful central government. Posted by: JackStraw at August 18, 2026 08:49 AM (viF8m) 203

Made it impossible for the North to limit slavery--at the time of the ACW, a case was pending in NY where a Southern planter was demanding to be able to take his slaves there and keep ownership. What judges forget is that the People as a whole are the whole source of their power and if the people decide formally or informally to withdraw it, then they are just a bunch of twits in silly robes. And the Democrat project to put a bunch of Turd Worlders on the bench are creating a severe backlash to any of their idiotic rulings to the point where none of their decisions are considered 'law' by a large proportion of the citizenry. Like the English lords on their great estates in the Victorian age, in order to be great, these nimrods tear down their own in order to feed their greed, their insatiable desire for power over others, and claims of moral superiority.
Exactly. Throughout history wealth has traditionally come from cheating, fraud, violence, slavery, rent-seeking and plunder. It wasn't until Free Markets where wealth came by serving your fellow man. Good article on SNAP in the WSJ. Especially the part where two Republicans failed to show up for a committee vote on a bill that made offending states (read fraud sinkholes) forego funding if they didn’t clean things up.
There’s your Republican caucus hard at work. BTW I didn’t know SNAP was 100% funded by the federal government with absolutely no incentives to get rid of fraud. Posted by: That Guy at August 18, 2026 08:56 AM (zQLjY) 241

*shrugs* Mamdani is promising to do great harm against NYC, and is already making good on those promises. He's extremely popular. Same, Michelle Wu. These people want their cities wrecked. They don't mind if their lives are bad, so long as they feel they are sticking it to Trump, Jews, other white people, rich people, and normies in far-flung places who care nothing about them. They're Communists, and they're getting what they want. These mayors will be able to turn around and say "the chocolate ration has been increased from 50 grams to 30 grams. Things only seem worse thanks to the shenanigans of Trump, Jews, other white people, rich people, and normies in far-flung places. But we stuck it to them, and we can stick it to them again. Plus, we'll increase the chocolate ration to 15 grams." And they'll get reelected, and then rise to higher offices. These aren't Americans. Posted by: It's me donna ------- He no longer gets internal feeds from the private Obama polling. His rep was far greater than his actual abilities. He doesn't poll himself but relies on Monte Carlo simulations using polling data as his input and predictions of who wins as output. Bad data in, bad data comes out which is why his accuracy is pedestrian nowadays. Wait for likely voter screenings in polling after Labor Day, that is when polling that is grossly pro Democrat because it uses ridiculous sampling suddenly becomes a close horse race. Likely voter screening only begins for most when voter registration is largely done for the election (about thirty days prior for most states). The next bad data dump is likely to be in mid Sept about early voting crap. TJM has it about right, coin flip right now on GOP holding house but it will be narrow either way. In most blue states you have a city that is full of: Illegals People working for the government Clients of the office holders No one in this group is going to rebel. From this position they loot the rest of the state and fix the vote. If the people from the 'burbs or rural areas were to come in they'll arrange for those people to be arrested or sick the feral yutes on them. And I'll give you a very minor example of this. The "polls" are really nothing more than propaganda to get people who believe in that shit to stay home, or vote for the "winning side." To a certain degree, it's working. It's being discussed here. A financial advantage and talking about how bad Democrats are, or will be isn’t enough. They need to talk about what they’ve done. I see very few GOP candidates doing that.
------ Well, Republicans are metaphysically useless, but that wouldn't help much. "Dems did X, Y, and Z." "SHUT UP U R RACIST" The strategy can't be to move Dem voters. Just to motivate Trump voters. GOP candidates are not capable of that. They'd have to convince normies that they aren't part of the Democrat problem, which they can't do, because they are, and we know it. It is the independents that may or may not. It is not as if the Democrats are covering themselves in glory as they are losing on most issues polled and have a smaller margin on the few they lead. And DSA nutbags like El Sayed do not say to independent voters that the Dems are concerned about affordability. That race alone may have guaranteed a GOP hold in the Senate. House was always going to be close with the fake 2020 Census by Biden and their total gerrymandering the GOP in CA even before the last one. But the GOP is returning service on gerrymandering finally and as a result, has more safe seats than the Dems at this point given prior voting behavior in those districts. That means the Democrats have to sweep contested seats and in a second term midterm, lot harder to do. 5 seats more or less may make the difference. Second, the ridiculous interactive polling bullshit affiliated with Baris is junk. This is the poll that had Massie winning for example. Hybrid models using online response with small samples are junk. A) look for polls with likely voter sampling, not all people, not registered voter screens. B) for a state like Texas, you need somewhere about 900-1000 sample size using a consistent polling sample that has been replicated in the past. C), the polling operation needs to have prior Texas polling experience on a statewide basis. Then, you can figure they are reliable. And D), the GOP always waits until after Labor Day to start its ads--GOP has a massive funding advantage and can now coordinate with candidates on spending. That said, Swalwell might be in actual trouble. He clearly pissed off the Democrats by running in CA. They already knifed him, and they may want him to be made an example. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at August 18, 2026 09:31 AM (BI5O2) 389
Rahm Emmanuel seems to be running a quiet campaign.

I wouldn't bet against a dark horse. Beshear?

But on the plus side, however bigoted, Rahm is short and Jewish. Racist dems can't handle the Jewish part, and America likes tall.

363 Fox is actually gotten a lot more conservative and hired a lot more conservative people at their station. It's become a breath of fresh compared to everybody else.
Posted by: redridinghood ====== Fox is fake and gay. And that is because the Murdochs hate Trump and I think that is reciprocated. And their goal is to keep you watching to sell ads and peddle foreign influence. Go back and watch ole Rupert nearly stroke out from rage when Trump announced Vance as VP selection. Rupert wanted someone else. TV news is reality TV in essence--want information, you have to dig it out of X from reliable sources that actually crunch numbers. And you have to have enough prior knowledge to know when someone is peddling bullshit by further checking. Perfect example was the Massie primary--tv news reporting on the race was absolutely awful as was most polling there. Posted by: whig at August 18, 2026 09:34 AM (E4rtv) 394

Which hypothetical fires up D's more as we head to 2028?
DSA's strong showing helps Democrats to big wins and taking back Congress. Or DSA's strong showing highlights establishment failure as Democrats fail to take back Congress ? Posted by: ... at August 18, 2026 09:36 AM (+rw6l) 397

Same reason Harris didn't choose Shapiro in PA - with whom she very well may have won.
