Oh, and we also have a damn bat flying around the house. I haven't caught it with the fishing net but think it is now confined to the basement. I'm getting too old for this crap.

I'd had the Buick for four years before I found that on the "entertainment center" (radio to us dinosaurs), when playing from the flash drive, if I turn the right or tuning knob counterclockwise a bit, a vertical list of all the songs on the drive comes up on the screen. Very belated BOING!
Spent hours on chat with Microsoft support to try to resolve recent Windows update failing. Nothing helped. Last solution is to clobber Windows with a new ISO install, hoping it will not damage/delete my personal data. Not doing this till I can backup files. Don't have my external drive with me here in north Israel.
This sucks.
I will say that chat was very responsive and efficient. I remember back in the 90's being on hold on the phone with MS support for over an hour before anyone handled my call.
Time for a swim soon. Maybe l8r.

And spouse and I took a lovely walk ( well, it was kind of buggy, but we saw lovely rose marsh mallows . I also saw an interesting thing hanging on a tree. It was a quilted heart with Irises on one side and what looks like grapes on the other side, which reminded me of the Lord Supper. This is an appropriate time and place to ask for prayers for the friends and family of a young man I knew named Austn, who committed suicide yesterday with an overdose of prescription medication. He was the brother of my granddaughter’s father, her uncle. She had just started 4th grade and knew him well, I prelate for her, too young to be exposed to something this dark.
I knew him as well, and liked him. I found him to a thoughtful younger man (early 30’s) but I knew he had mental health issues and had bouts of severe depression. He was one of those who just never “found” himself, never could latch onto any purpose or direction, and this is where it led. I pray for mercy for his soul as well; he was never a bad person, just one who was lost and could never find his way.

I am based here, of course, but I also think a lack of a religious world view is very damaging. I just read on here yesterday about some man on the internet who was a preacher for 20 years and left the ministry and now evangelizes against Christianity or any kind of religious faith. I think the importing of a less moral, more criminal, and crueler people is a foundation to build an internal system that has no issues attacking the homeland and the people.
There is a question though of how once you turn this system on you have the power to turn it off.
