I knew a bluesky user who was determined to divide by zero. He flouted the laws of G-d and man. He would write mathematical formulae on his skin with magic markers and then grease his whole body with ghee, chant, and shake one of his hands (the tiny malformed one) at the spirits of the desert.

I don't know if he's dead. He's dead to me. I won't have any truck with that kind of occult practices.

52 In other news, my 2025 tax refund check *finally* showed up. I'll take it to the bank, withdraw some walking-around money, and leave the rest, as I have to make my quarterly estimated tax payment in early Sept. There will still be quite a bit left over, though.

The house I wanted to video tour this week is now under contract. Two more possibilities popped up, but one seems huge and probably hard to heat and cool. The other is close to perfect -- but is located within a few blocks of two Section 8 housing developments. Still I'll have a look at it, I guess.

The furry thugs are well. They need their rabies shots; I guess that's what the rest of my tax refund will go to.

53 Yesterday, my husband and I went out for some delicious store made ice cream. I enjoy watching the little kids there and how delighted they are at the ice cream. Yesterday, along with little boys jumping up and down and laughing while looking themselves in the fun house mirror that's there - there was a little girl with a long blue dress which must have been like a dress in a Disney movie. She had long brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. I think she was there with her grandmother and father. I asked how old she was and she held up four fingers. She told me her name is Lana. What a pretty name. I don't think I've ever heard that name aside from the actress Lana Turner.
