Good morning kids. So, evidently now Mohamed is the new Hussein, so be careful what you say lest you be labeled "islamophobic" quelle horrible! But if your beliefs align with this . . . El-Sayed is married to Sarah Jukaku, a former University of Michigan student who once served as president of that school’s campus MSA. El-Sayed’s father-in-law is Dr. Jukaku Tayeb, a nephrologist and a former president (and current board member) of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. El-Sayed’s father-in-law is Dr. Jukaku Tayeb, a nephrologist and a former president (and current board member) of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Then you're as American as Humus, or HAMAS! or pizza, the kind that explodes in a pizzeria that maims and mangles everyone in sight. It’s disheartening to look back and realize that, despite renewed diplomatic pressure and advocacy, Tamimi still has not been extradited—just as reported in 2021, when Legal Insurrection marked the bombing’s 20th anniversary. A Hamas “journalist” born in Jordan, Tamimi is, above all, a religious fanatic who saw the Sbarro attack as one of her “best deeds,” calculated in every respect to maximize the carnage.Jukaku? Is that a cross between Jiu Jitsu and Bukakke? At any rate that CAIR should even exist is a stain on justice, common decency and civilization itself. In the summer 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial, it was learned that CAIR’s parent organization, the Islamic Association for Palestine, had been named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum as one of the Brotherhood’s likeminded “organizations of our friends” who shared the common goal of conducting “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”Meh, Look at what far too many of our fellow citizens - in name only — are cheering on and voting for, as I discussed at length here and on the latest episode of the podcast linked here and in the sidebar. And yet this Francesca Hong slag much to my horror might actually have a shot, or is likely going to win the governorship of Wisconsin. Hopefully my fellow Dairy staters can wake me up from this nightmare and put my mind at ease... A democratic socialist member of the state Assembly and the prohibitive favorite to succeed Gov. Tony Evers as the Democratic nominee for his office come Tuesday, Hong has featured in headlines for all of the wrong reasons over the last few weeks. In a much-maligned November 2020 tweet, she called on officials to “Cancel Thanksgiving.”...Hong’s message is a resentful, revanchist one — and it’s landing on the right ears. The first question she fielded at the Sheboygan town hall was about what she would do to progressives’ favorite boogeyman: Elon Musk. Answer: “I will use every tool in the executive’s office to make sure that we are not only holding Elon Musk accountable, but that we are prosecuting to the fullest extent of the law individual ICE agents who break the law.”We are facing terminal cancer as a nation and society. In revealing the commonalities of the Reds and the Greens in the Red-Green Axis, we have elucidated their shared goals of violence, wealth redistribution, inequality before the law, a binary world, and monopoly rule by the elites. Here we explore their intent to reshape the totality of society. Islamic political systems and Marxist-Leninist communism both claim more than the right to regulate what is currently unsettled. Each claims the standing authority to redraw, at will, the line between what the system controls and what it leaves alone. A domain currently left to private choice is never permanently protected from the system; it is simply not yet a priority. . . Clearly, Muslims and Communists are intent on “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”Have a good day,

Now the horror has escalated even further. This week, the regime publicly hanged two young protesters, Amirhossein Safari and AbolfazlSepahi, in Isfahan’s Alikhani Square, precisely where demonstrations had erupted during January’s nationwide uprising.
Crowds gathered in a desperate attempt to prevent the executions, chanting “Shame on you” as security forces attacked them. Videos circulating online captured gunfire echoing through the square while terrified citizens attempted to resist yet another act of judicial murder. =========================== There might not be enough piano wire in Persia to pay these scumbags back as they deserve. Inconvenient Truths.
You'll recall the anthrax scare in the weeks after 9/11, with the USPTO delivering the goods to Media and a few Congresscritters. Five died. Long investigation led the FBI to target Dr. Bruce Ivins, a senior government microbiologist. Officially, before charges were brought, Ivins killed himself with Tylenol and Codeine, and the case was concluded with Iviins declared the sole suspect. No autopsy was performed. Weak circumstantial evidence. He had access to the specific strain but 100 others did too. May have been a nutter, or not. Many dispited the findings at the time, but the beat went on. But in 20023 Dick Cheney used the anthrax scare to make NIAID -- headed by Tony Fauci -- the point for 'civilian bio-defense research with a focus on research and early development of medical countermeasures against terrorist threats from infectious diseases." Fauci and the NIAID were made completely independent. Next stop was gain-of-function research funded by NIAID in Ukraine and China. Posted by: Ignoramus at August 10, 2026 07:52 AM (dtajH) 39

While I am no fan of 'Meta', or any other social media network, this represents a push for governments to extract still more money from producers to lavish on the indolent, along with a smattering of controlling access to information. I think if you’re counting on Democrats to self destruct in the midterms, you may want to check that thought. The polls are moving in the wrong direction on economic issues, with Democrats oddly ahead in some polls. It would be foolish to think Democrats would do a better job as some polls suggest. Look at what happened last time they were running things. Look at all the fraud. But it seems that voters, especially independents are souring on Republicans economic handling. Inflation has been stubborn and it seems some prices that were raised ridiculously high in Covid will not be going down, as those companies don’t want to take the hit on profits. There is still time to pull off a win, but that window is shrinking.

Social Security is not a pension plan. It is welfare. The funds are "invested" in Treasury securities, allowing federal spending to blossom. The benefits are disproportionately generous to the poor.

Government are even more so, because they use the threat of violence to coerce donors/customers and clients to surrender their money for no certain return. Pensions/Retirement funds and Insurance are the largest slices of the economy's investment sector. I see candidates running on a platform such as, "I will bring down inflation for working families!" and laugh to myself knowing there's nothing they can do to make that happen. A lot of people are against Social Security, right up to the time when they qualify for Social Security.
I qualify for SS and I remain against SS. The problem is that it's been in place for so long, and the public has been miseducated about it for so long, that unwinding it would require enormous pain for a large segment of the public AND the Congress to do something both difficult and unpopular. We no longer have the capacity as a nation to accomplish such things. And, so, we will continue to limp along, with periodic crises, taking an ever larger segment of the economy to provide an ever worsening return, until the entire system collapses, with catastrophic effect. According to the reports, one Arab state allegedly advised another country to first sign an agreement with Israel and then, if circumstances became more favorable, launch a war against the Jewish state.

Can a transition to self-directed retirement saving plans work? We would have to be very hard-hearted to those that do not save for retirement. And keep government from stealing the money.
I can see starting people at 20 or 25 and the government "seeding" their self directed retirement account for whatever they've worked, but what do you do for those who have been stolen from at gunpoint for 48 years and are looking at retirement in 16 months? Just tell them sorry. You fucked up. You trusted us? Posted by: rickb223 at August 10, 2026 08:38 AM (VbzrQ) 168

Posted by: The two Bobs at August 10, 2026 08:36 AM (2Ez/1) Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour. Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out? Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. Posted by: Peter Gibbons at August 10, 2026 08:38 AM (wVcYX) 170

156 The White House release identifies the investigation’s codename as “Oxferd Comma,” a misspelling of “Oxford Comma,” and former acting Assistant Attorney General Jeff Clark said a document expert believed a character in “Comma” was the number zero rather than the letter “o,” speculating the spelling may have been intended to make the records more difficult to locate through Freedom of Information Act searches.

The reason Cornyn lost to Paxton so badly was because Cornyn’s entire campaign consisted of “But Talarico is going to win! Plus you owe me!”

"Having a doctorate in physics makes you an expert, maybe, in one small segment of physics. It doesn't mean that you know shit about anything else. This is something that lot's of PhD holders forget."
This. Very much this. They have a laser focus on one small area, so their expertise is a mile deep, but an inch wide. Get them outside of their area of specialty, and they often become rather helpless, needing to lean hard on the expertise of others to help them accomplish tasks. They are NOT generalists, and they can't afford the time to be. Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at August 10, 2026 08:14 AM (O7YUW) HEY!! I'm standing right here!! >>Can't make a deal with scum. They understand two things - humiliation and deadly force.
While many are looking at shiny objects few are watching the guy with a mean streak who has control of the money. Gotta be kind of humiliating to have the Great Satan blockading your country and not letting a mouse fart get through while occasionally blowing up your shit and your one legged gay ayatollah slips into death. Do you know what's really odd? This is the first war we've had with basically zero reporting on the ground. Instead we get the media dooming from their cozy studios in NYC and DC with no more real knowledge of what's going on in Iran than we do. Meanwhile, Colombia just tossed Hezbollah and their commie president and elected a Trump ally. I wonder how that happened? Posted by: JackStraw at August 10, 2026 08:44 AM (viF8m) 190
