69 Kids got into the drive-in free, plus you could bring in your own food and drinks and they didn't really give a shit.

We went there a lot. Big family.

Only rich people had AC back then, so it was a nice way to get of the house on a hot summer night

This was before the fam moved to Alaska. There were a few attempts at drive-ins here, but it was too light at night in the summer and too cold in the winter. At least one had space heaters on the poles next to the speakers that you could bring into your car.

You're not alone in that sentiment. That drive-in is long gone, gone even before the nationwide drive-in decline.

I'd wonder where teens go to grope each other nowadays, but I guess all of Today's Youth is more or less impotent/frigid/sterile.

89 Reminds me of the Penny Arcade near the bus stop on Royal St in New Orleans - it was next to the Corsair tie shop. That was in the '70s, tho' - it's prolly all gone now. The only room y' never wanted to go in at the Penny Arcade was the one in the far end of the place in the left rear of the store. It had a long curtain that guys would pull back to enter - and if you stood next to it long enough checking out the other things, you'd hear 'Unnnnnhhhh!' and 'Mmmm!' and 'Oooohhhhh …'. din't need to be a rocket scientist to know what that meant …

91 Don't care for the style with its exaggerated poses and physiques. It works for some WPA era government building murals but it gets tiresome fast. Also, crowded cityscapes and urban-oriented scenes have little appeal for me.

I'm not knocking Marsh's talent but his choices and approach. There seems little positive about the paintings. Norman Rockwell can do a similar scene, crowded city life, but it's warm. Marsh's come across to me as smarmy.

Maybe I just need more coffee.

The drug was very good at reducing inflammation, but there was no improvement at all in mortality from atherosclerosis.
