Picasso Old Guitarist.jpg

The Old Guitarist
Pablo Picasso

One of the assumptions I make when searching for sources of the art I want to post is that the museum that possesses the work has the most interest in using an accurate version of the piece on the internet.

There are plenty of brighter and and more brightly colored versions of this Picasso all over the web, so if you like art that looks like a neon sign...have at it!

But The Art Institute of Chicago has this version, and I am going to trust them, even though they are probably filthy blue-city commies!

65 Wiki: "In the latter part of 1901, Picasso sank into a severe depression and blue tones began to dominate his paintings. Picasso's painting La mort de Casagemas, completed early in the year following his friend's suicide, was done in hot, bright hues. The painting considered the first of his Blue Period, Casagemas in His Coffin, was completed later in 1901 when Picasso was sinking into a major depression."

Apparently his Blue Period lasted until 1904, when he began his Rose Period.

133 Congrats, CBD. You picked about the only Picasso painting I like. He captured the look of old age and what is familiar to the man, maybe the only thing that is important to him. The angles, this time, are not completely distorted, just suggestive. The overall blue tones are quiet, peaceful, perhaps accepting his situation. The simple areas of white and dark serve to bring out his thin, age-reduced physique.

I don't care for most of Picasso's paintings. He obviously has the talent to paint what he wants but I don't care for his topics or more abstract style.

136 If by "old" Picasso means "found dead in a ghetto gutter two weeks after the fact, stuffed into a garbage bag and buried in a shallow grave that turns out to be a pothole on the main thoroughfare, only to be removed by the road crew as they attempt to fix the roadway and discover his mangled corpse but don't have time to re-entomb him so they playfully prop him up against the wall with Miguel's guitar," then absolutely -- "Old Man" is an apt title.

178 However, high fiscal deficits, a substantial interest burden, and high and rising government debt levels constrain the rating. Debt is more than double the 'AA' rating median. The government has not taken meaningful actions to address the large general government (GG) fiscal deficits (averaging 7% of GDP since 2022), and spending pressures will mount over the next decade due to an aging population.

There was a guy, can’t remember his name but became semi-famous because he could free-hand very authentic looking dollar bills and higher denomination US currency. Boggs maybe was his name.

He wouldn’t try to pass them off as legal tender, just order a meal and then hand them one and say, “hey isn’t this really cool?” and it oftentimes worked. The Secret Service, then under the US Treasury was in charge of going after counterfeiters and they determined he wasn’t doing anything illegal. He termed them “art” or whatever.

True enough, but both ideologies are in service to Satan (whether they acknowledge it or not). Some of Marx's writings admit to demonic influences, and Mo wasn't taking dictation from the Archangel Gabriel (I find it very revealing that Mo's version of Heaven was very carnal, while Jesus Christ taught that even married couples would be celibate in Heaven).

But ... Satan always eventually breaks his tools.

I've read your previous posts, and agree with you: China can't successfully mount an amphibious invasion. Besides a lack of a warrior culture, their engineering is correctly-assessed to be inferior. Big copiers of stolen technology, they lack the ability to execute it well. I remember reading an article years ago in which the Chinese were bragging that they had finally been able to domestically manufacture the micro-perforated balls necessary to make ballpoint pens.

Plus our punitive expedition against Iran has revealed that the vaunted Chinese HQ-9 SAM is garbage. We knocked-out all three SAM batteries in about an hour with zero launches.

They can't very well say the real reason--they want to cheat to win, cheat massively, cheat enough to win power--then get rid of elections or make them useless by cheating.

Even Democrat voters realize that once the cheat is in, they are dispensable. Gimme dats are at least smart enough to realize when their gubmint check is endangered. That is why they predominately support voter id.

I'm working on a draft that discusses their equipment and that will feature prominently.

Taiwan is the true China, the China of meticulous craftsmanship and quality work. The China of artists and beauty. I have a Mauser Kar98k that was made in China in 1945. Lots of people don't know that the Nationalists got training and equipment from Germany in 1935, including tooling for the Kar98k. These are fully parts compatible with the German-made ones, and in fact mine (which must have gone through a lot before coming here as a trophy) has a German stock and bolt. It was captured by the Communists, who struck out Chiang Kai-shek's name and stamped militia marks on the stock.

It was probably sent as aid to Vietnam and captured there. I found a book documenting Vietnam trophy weapons and our boys picked up a lot of crazy stuff.

So they are so brittle that they cannot think, they can only recite. The end result of their desired utopia is enslavement of society for these the power and pleasure of these mental and evil misfits.

Several times a year there are stories about hate crimes against Asians, usually women, stabbed or thrown onto subway tracks and yet urban Asians continue to vote for Democrat prosecutors that openly hate them. People vote for their team, not their interest.

277 Thinking that's anything LESS than communism makes you embarrassingly ignorant.
Posted by: Sponge

History (and graveyards) is filled with people saying, This Time It's Different. Communists going to be commies, Muzzies going to be Muzzies, and neither have demonstrated any changes in basic behavior--for Commies since Marx wrote his evil polemic. For Muzzies, since the Dark Ages.

Kill, pillage, plunder, enslave. That is what Commies and their new friends Islam do to unbelievers. They cannot restrain from doing so because without violence, any regime they create implodes because it is contrary to human nature and the Lord. I call that Satanic.

The annoying thing is that Israel has been picking on the local Christian population, but because of all the b.s. and fake atrocities, it gets lost in the shuffle. There have been several confrontations in Jerusalem, and it's a terrible look for Israel to pull those stunts.

-------

Psaki would oversee the death camps and sleep like a fucking baby. Of course she's a fucking communist. Who do you think she and her masters are selling out the country to?

Sorry, not falling for the "these are the real communists" bs.

Democrats have been communists that's why they're ushering this movement in now. Soon the media will inform us all that half the country believes in communism - after Trump won three straight times - and people will fall for the bilge.

Some don't, most do because in a low trust society, your own peeps in office are supposed to look out for you and your fellow ethnics. They don't of course but in an ethnically diverse society, people will vote their religion and ethnicity over their economic and objective political interests. Lee Kuan Yew was correct.

You're just mad that "Left" is actually synonymous with "Communist." The old-school Democrat politicians were perfectly content to hide their Collectivist-bent while enriching themselves. The Democrat Socialists of America loons are just claiming the Communism out loud.

Psaki was (and is) a paid liar. She sees everything from the perspective that there will be "Heaven-on-Earth (tm)" if people she liked controlled every aspect of our lives. She's yet another huckster promising free stuff paid for by other people. Just another person conflating charity for collectivism.

This always ends the same way: millions of dead and misery.

This morning, we are filing two felony charges, Depredation Against Property of the United States and Destruction of Veterans' Memorials, in Federal District Court against Melissa L. Farris, offenses that carry penalties of up to ten years in prison. She is now in custody.

Try her. Convict her. Incarcerate her at Gitmo.

Let the Mooslim fellers enjoy her charms.

The US shut the door on immigration for this reason. The ethnic blocs were not assimilating, and organized crime was getting out of control (exacerbated by Prohibition).

Prohibition itself was strongly Nativist.
