Trump Activates Never-Before-Used Court To Deport Terrorists

The court had been created in 1996 to quickly deport terrorist-sympathizing aliens. I imagine it was created in response to the first bombing of the World Trade Center by Muslim savages.

But it was just some empty posturing. It was never actually used.

But Trump discovered this unused authority hanging around gathering dust it and now he's using it.

The Trump administration has activated a previously unused deportation court designed for the removal of "alien terrorists" to remove an Afghan woman who allegedly knew of her son's plans to support the Islamic state.
Haji Zada's son and son-in-law previously pleaded guilty to their plans to carry out a terrorist attack on Election Day in 2024, according to Politico. The administration has sought to deport her, alleging that she knew of her family's plans and was responsible for radicalizing them.
The United States Alien Terrorist Removal Court held its first hearing in its history on Thursday, under the oversight of Judge Joan Ericksen. The court had never taken a case before Thursday.
"Congress created the Alien Terrorist Removal Court three decades ago to remove from the United States alien terrorists who never should have been here in the first place," acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement.
"The allegations in this case show the matriarch of an ISIS-sympathizing family aiding in a plot to launch a mass casualty attack on American voters on Election Day. The Department's application in this court makes clear that terrorists have no place in the United States of America," he added.

Had two carpet cleaner guys here for stairwells this morning (the rest of the house is hardwood or tile). They were Americans. In and out in less than an hour. Some sort of ionized water vs soap. Dunno.

We have had far less apparent illegals in the last year doing repairs. Even when the sink drain screwed up basement walls last May, they were all Americans with plumbing, sheetrock, and painters. I know because I asked as I am a ghost with strange men in the house.

In the past I did like two guys who put in the tile bathrooms, but they also brought us fresh eggs from their farm, so hard to ignore.

I do badly want to report a rental house of roofers but they are quiet and I hope move on to Tijuana someday. A few houses down from us. No barking dogs.

In my state the head of Children's Services got in trouble for losing too many kids and got fired. So a couple of things I took from this:

1) There is apparently an acceptable number of kids for DCF to lose - and I don't mean kids that died with a bad foster parent or something - kids they can't find

2) The punishment for this is...losing your job? That's it? Hell if I lose *data sets* from my job I'd get sued/prosecuted by my company

This was when newsom's monumental failings were already known. The french laundry lies, his train to nowhere disaster, his sleazy behavior. When they came to newsom , their eyes literally lit up. It would help part of the problem. There's basically three different major issues, lack of inventory (your idea would help with that one), lack of desirable inventory (there's enough and it's affordable, but for some reason or another--often location--it's not worth the prices, and lack of affordable inventory (lots of housing, including in good locations, but the folks who need it can't afford it).

Lots of moving parts. Not saying your plan shouldn't be implemented, just noting more will be required.

Our sons and DIL's are conservative Christians. We did our best and are proud of them all.

The ONE thing younger son and I don't agree on is that certain places of world travel are dangerous. He travels a lot in the USA and internationally. He thinks it's still fine and overblown.

I don't think so, son. I hope he's paying attention to this today.

Granted, on cruises, etc, they are in upscale places. But the danger is there simmering with the illegals and I can't convince him otherwise.

I'll grant that there could be danger anywhere and if it's your time, etc. However, I don't want his wife or children involved if crap hits the fan and they are out of the country. They are all beautiful people, especially our grands, and I am not biased.

I pray a lot anyway, but when they are out of the country I pray extra. He and wife have already been to Madrid and Barcelona, so maybe Spain is not on the horizon.

After acting as the general contractor, I'll tell you that the codes are much greater than 1% of the cost.
I'll also tell you I had no problem complying with those codes cause most of them save me money every day as I live in this house.
I would NEVER buy a house not built to (then) current codes.
I'll give examples if you like. Houses built "in the County" and now in the City, for example.
