I can smell your filthy cowardice.

Poor dog doesn't know what to make of this cat.

Dog and stray cat have street beef but it's all cool.

Excavator rescue.

Cat plays with window washer.

Mama goat kisses her baby.

It's true -- Penguins are evil, especially the babies.

I didn't come here for an argument... let's go over there and have an argument.

Is this a joke? It's possible it's a joke.

I think this next one's a joke.

I hope it is, anyway.

WNBA posts – then deletes – video of Angel Reese gambling on her own game

Just more proof that the WNBA isn't a real sports league!

It's in direct violation of the WNBA's league rules, and they posted it on the WNBA's social media!
(This explains why Angel's been missing all those buckets, right?)
You see, in real sports leagues like the NBA, NFL, and MLB, gambling on your own game could get you banned from the league, or at the very least suspended. It's the cardinal sin of sports.
Just ask Pete Rose.

If Caitlin Clark were in this video, it would break the internet and lead network news stations. Sophie Cunningham would cause riots.
Angel Reese does it? Paige Bueckers?

We had a snap surprise formation in front of the barracks one day in AIT. Nobody knew what it was for. We stood at parade rest or whatever for quite some time. Occasionally we’d hear shouts and loud metallic bangs from inside the barracks. After some time the 1st sergeant appeared, a short statured individual who was really wound up. He threw one of the laundry room washers at our general direction off the front porch deal. Impressive. Boy he was pissed!

Turns out, army sleeping bags, rucks, boots, and all that shit will ruin a washer or dryer. Who knew, right? Well … everyone did. I thought he was gonna have a stroke

The two friendly giant spiders that immediately came to my mind are:

Shriek -- from Philip Jose Farmer's "The Dungeon" series. She's eight feet tall, covered in poison-tipped hairs, and telepathic. She's also a loyal companion and friend, sacrificing herself at the end so that the main character can continue his journey. Awesome character.

Krek -- from Robert E. Vardeman's "Cenotaph Road." He's a male giant spider who is also quite heroic and friendly towards the main protagonist. Not as cool as Shriek, but still entertaining.

$60 a fill up 3x a week = $180 or $360 every two weeks. I don't make enough to cover almost $800 a month for gas. Not counting wear & tear on my truck. And there's no real work in this podunk town.
And I'm three years from 67. Full retirement age.

Yeah, when Trump declared that all fed employees had to be in the office all week, I took Elon's buyout. I moved out here because I could work from home three days a week. Then they said tough titties. Would have taken 8 hours drive time out of my week, and not accomplished a damned thing, since I always got more done at home than at the office.

The buyout paid for 9 months full salary while I didn't work, and now I'm retired. Pretty good deal for me, but sucks if you can't find a workaround.

Blanket office policies are great if they are there when you make your life decisions, but not so great when they spring them on you after you paid your mortgage.

Long story short his mom's "camp" turned out to be a waterfront mansion near the harbor. It was being painted so he suggested we go to his island instead. Uh, wut?

Turned out he was a grandson of the founder of IBM and the island was left to him by his dad who passed away a couple years prior. He really did own his own island off the Maine coast.

No, definitely not. But they all need money. bin Laden's biggest attribute was he was rich. Zawahiri was the Muslim Brotherhood heartbeat but he was a lot less harmful without bin Laden's money.

Iran has been funding terrorists around the world not just the Middle East. They existed in Venezuela on Iran's money. I don't expect it all to disappear overnight but without hundreds of millions funding these scumbags I expect they will be a lot less lethal on a large scale.

I ran their retirement calc., and found it has a flaw in the SS calculation
I'm 6 years retired, and their output for my SS is wayyyy understated. It would have been helpful for them to have just let me input my current payments, than have it calculated off the "current income" field.
Of course I may have missed something along the way, but I've played around with the data fields, and couldn't get my SS to come out of the program.

Hopefully AOP will be along with the definitive answer, but I'll take a stab at it. When you say "dryer won't heat" does that mean it tumbles, without heat? If so, a possibility is that one leg of the 240V feed is disconnected. Generally, dryers use one leg plus the neutral to run the tumble motor on 120V, and both legs for the 240V heating element. If one leg has somehow been disconnected it could explain what your seeing. Maybe something got bumped while the washer was being installed.

238 Depending on the model it could also mean there is a relay that had died, and needs to be replaced. A good tech can do it in about 10 minutes. You can do it if you know how to use a mulitimeter and want to look up the part on a website to order a new one. There are other possibilities, but "disconnected link" and "dead module" are the main ones.

FIRST however, make sure the select switch is not moved by accident to "air tumble" since that will let it tumble and not heat as well.

I wasn't there but heard the story.

In Long Island my OCD MIL had a 50th Anniversary dinner for her parents. About 60 people as she was one of 8 children and 50 grandchildren. Did I say OCD? She was the queen.

Welp. There septic tank backed up and there was chaos. Fortunately they were all family, I guess. I am unclear of what else happened but this much I do know.

When our boys were 1 and 3yrs they visited in FL and our water got messed up from roots of a tree. It was delightful to hose my boys down outside vs a shower from the neighbors. My FIL enjoyed figuring out the problem.

On one trip she instructed me on how to clean the coils of the fridge with a metal coat hanger wrapped in yarn. Which means at some point she looked under the fridge on all fours. I also learned how to get the gunk out of the old dishwasher rubber thing with a toothbrush, which I didn't know I should do.

The main people who enjoyed their visits were my coworkers in the newborn nursery as I taught them the housekeeping tricks to their laughter.

Hi Piper! A couple of years ago we had the basement bathroom/and shower refinished. We repainted the cabinets and added wooden French appliques to the doors. Then framed the mirror to match that looks antique but is in fact some sort of fake wood. A deep teal color. Fancy dark oiled brass knobs I found. Done!

Had fake quartz top installed along with the shower frame. My dude did the plumbing and installed the dark vinyl wood flooring. We went as cheaply as possible as this bathroom is rarely used. Painting the cabinets saved us some money and they look really good. It's nice, too,as you know exactly what color they will be.

The other bathrooms and kitchen were gutted and very expensive 10yrs ago. This house has been replaced down to the hinges over the years and we are done forever.

At least it was family? Holidays on my parents farm always means disaster, whether AC or losing power. Losing power in 1987 during and ice storm was great for our boys playing pioneer times.

Losing AC in late May is another story and that text was what met me when we landed in NOLA last summer. My text msg to my brother was: Find us a hotel. Which turned out to be very nice and the grands had fun.
