The sunroom is far too warm for her these days so I brought her inside. She's locked in the library right now what the other cats get used to her being inside.

Mostly going well, though Kaylee the Calico Kitty Cat (the cutest little cat of them all) does chase Chloe around. Kaylee will just have to get used to Chloe.

Our lawn here in SW Wyoming is shot. Severe drought right after the lawn service aerated seeded etc.

We don't care because if you read about how ranchers can't grow grass and hay for their livestock it is understandable.

We live on a dead-end street with five houses. Three of the houses have very green lawns because they have been sneaking out in the middle of the night watering their grass. I'm up most of the night sitting on the patio and I hear the sprinklers running. The neighbor next to us is like us, he isn't watering just like us.

It's a sad life if when a drought and water restrictions don't matter because you want to have the greenest lawn in town.

It would go dormant. Won’t hurt a thing if you keep traffic off of it. And you don’t have to mow. When cooler temps return in the fall, and precip, it will bounce.

What you can’t do, is bring it back and forth in and out of dormancy. If you’re gonna water the lawn, water the hell out of it, and… you can’t stop, or it will go into shock and die back, killing the roots. Rookie mistake.

The grass here at stately Peon Manor is still growing. Mowed yesterday, will need to mow tomorrow or Wednesday, too. But the growth spurt has slacked off. We have had no lack of rain here.

82 What I mean by that, watering frequently is a pain in the ass, especially in July. So people have a tendency to decide to really soak it, thinking they can get away with that for a day or two or three instead. Establishing sod doesn’t work that way. It’s kinda tricky sometimes.

Is your new lawn 3” above the driveway now?

83 Wish I could divvy out some of the rain we've had here for the last week. Yesterday was the only day it was sunny with no rain. Rain and clouds all last week, thunderstorm today. Pool is too cool to enjoy now. Six inches total rain.

85 Springtime in Iowa, with plenty of rain, means mowing twice a week at minimum if ya wanna keep up. Lawncare is really a retired man’s hobby. The last thing I wanted to do after working all day is sweat in the yard for sn hour or two.

87 From Millsboro, De south to Elizabeth City, NC, it has been rain and more rain. The cold front made it thru here and we had very nice weather, cool and dry. Clouds and rain have returned. I mentioned the corn looked dry and that was big mistake.

94 I’m pretty rusty, but depending the temps and sunlight, probably twice a day minimum, completely watering the sod. Every day for quite some time. Couple months anyway. Anything above 90 is rough stuff for turf without irrigation. That’s why they go dormant.

That is not an option trying to establish sod. See where I’m goin’ with that?

If it dies, are they gonna replace it again on their dime?
