The Morning Report — 7/ 27 /26

CareNAIR.jpg

Good morning kids.

If the assassination attempts on President Trump, on top of the slaughter of Charlie Kirk, United Healthcare CEO Brian Thomspon, the organized and disorganized terrorism of Anti-ICE/police Goon Squads and of course the martyrdom of Ashli Babbitt and Roseanne Boyland and the judicial persecution of other January 6th protesters, pro-life protesters and school board members daring to defy/criticize the mind and body raping of their children in the schools . . .

In a case of queer overreach so extreme that even the far-left Denver Public Schools board was forced to act, a lesbian-identifying Colorado teacher was fired this spring after repeatedly pressuring students to kiss same-sex classmates during supposedly instructional classroom skits. Teacher Jennifer Honka was employed for the past eight years to teach French Language and Culture at Northeast Early College (NEC), a high school which is part of the Denver Public Schools district.

Then certainly this story surely is a warning that we are not only on the road to Hell but in the express lane.

Our First Amendment free speech rights aren't there to protect speech we all agree with, it's to protect the speech we don't. A classic, liberal free speech position is that you respect the right to free speech, especially when that speech reflects views you despise. That's what the principle means, it means upholding the right to free speech for your opponents, not just for those with views you are allied with. . . But a new case in Minnesota appears to have violated the free speech rights of a mom who said a bad word. There are no hate speech laws in the United States. Saying mean words is absolutely not a criminal offense. Other nations have hate speech laws, but they have absolutely no place in these United States.  This Minnesota court has come up with a workaround. And the jury deliberated for over nine hours. In his closing arguments, her attorney Brian Karalus said, "The state of Minnesota has decided to prosecute Ms. Hendrix for language," and that's exactly what happened. We can all oppose calling people the n-word, but that doesn't make the speech a crime.

Wait, courts, judges, prosecutors and worst of all jurors literally inventing laws out of whole cloth and using them to convict an innocent person?!

Meh, this is who and what leftists are and no doubt if God-forbid they do gain absolute control of this nation, we are well and truly screwed.

On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Democratic Socialists of America co-chair Megan Romer defended their proposals to abolish Senate, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and prisons.

If you think this is merely hyperbole, think again. I take these evil fiends at their word. To ignore, dismiss or laugh at them is a grave error. Or a MASS grave error because that is what they have in mind for us.

Have a good day,

18 Marxism has always been tribal. That's exactly what class distinction is. The reason it's more obvious in America is that here - because we don't have rigid social classes here - they had to make it racial. But it's ALWAYS been about tribal grievance, by class, race, or some other engineered classification.

Progressivism, despite talking a great game about "reason" is mostly received wisdom. And the explanations are convoluted and sometimes defy logic to give some semblance of "too smart for you, of course" reason and learning behind it. That way they can all nod sagely and claim, "Ah, yes, it's all very reasonable when you explain it that way."

It's why they deny proper history to students and don't worry too much about math, and most of the science doesn't teach them to arrive at their own conclusions from scratch. If they're ignorant, but have been taught a lot of complicated "reason" on race and climate and economics, they will accept the received wisdom and spout it as dogma. Which means they will follow whatever those "experts" tell them and will happily enact communism via populism.

It's the whole reason Adams told us "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Ah, here's the part left out of that quote:
after two people apparently began shooting at each other

IOW, it wasn't a "mass shooting", it was two people who were really bad shots trying to take each other out in a crowded place.

Of course, they're using the 'technical' definition of mass shooting ("defines a mass shooting as one in which four or more victims are shot"), but the real meaning in people's heads is "OMG, someone is going to target us for no reason at all." And that (as is so often the case) is not what happened at all.

Don't worry, the GOP is helping the Democrats refund the DNC coffers by voting for tens of billions in new vaguely directed monies like the recently passed "Affordable Housing Act".

Though temporarily sidelined by USAID being taken off-line, and investigations into the trillions of dollars in annual fraud, and the investigation into ActBlue and other illegal foreign money laundering operations, the GOP will find a way to fund their our enemies.

And in the credits state that all revenue from this video will go to support humanitarian relief but never says how, but we are treated to refugee scenes and white UN tents in what looks like Gaza. And with the image of battered little teddy bear trapped in wrought iron fencing during this sermon, his deliberate Leni Riefenstahl use of a CGI bear in scenes of the documentary becomes clear. This is Green Helmet Guy levels of propagandization.

78 Social media like X is a dead end. Too much of it is bot generated slop. Too much of it is shameless promotion, lies and click-bait. Why waste time on any medium where the posts want to be taken seriously, but are engagement farming, lies, narrative shaping and propaganda?

Well you need to understand the algo and if you engage in things that are not the above, you rarely get the above. And when you do, you have to be smart enough to ignore it. I only see that stuff because, ironically, I am a community notes contributor, so I get to help zap it. I am sure others here are as well.

79 >>Is that normal in that world? To ask others to submit you for awards and prizes of a million dollars?

The world of academia is interesting… even in STEM fields. A small personal anecdote… I was finishing my PhD, submitted a paper to a refereed journal and it was rejected resoundingly. So I figured that’s that, it wasn’t worthy. Then my PhD advisor said: No… I know who that referee was by how the review was written. He doesn’t like me so his review was biased. I’ll request another referee… and I’ll be darned he did just that and the paper was published.

Made me realize that all these academic journals are NOT the unvarnished quest for truth. Biases, petty jealousies, leveraging reputation etc etc… it’s a mad mad mad cutthroat world

128 So the final lesson of 1918, a simple one yet the one most difficult to execute, is that those who occupy positions of authority must lessen the panic that can alienate members of a society. A society that takes as its motto, "every man for himself" is no longer a civilized society.

Those in authority must retain the public's trust. The way to do that is to distort nothing, to put the best face on nothing, to try to manipulate no one. Lincoln said that first and best.

A leader much make whatever horror exists concrete. Only then will people be able to break it apart.

No, it’s far less creative. In a previous life, I represented the company in negotiating labor contracts. My boss called me the Pied Piper for getting people to just follow me down whatever path to get what we needed. That was shortened to Piper and it stuck. When I started consulting with him, we named the company Piper Group because of it. It’s now a legit nickname, I have probably been called Piper more than my real name.

Posted by: Quarter Twenty at July 27, 2026 08:31 AM (2Ez/1)

Nice theory, but Wilson himself was already incapacitated and nearly comatose by the time the flu began spreading wildly. One theory says that he caught the flu himself on his “peace tour” in Europe; he notably lost energy and faltered halfway through the trip, and did not come home as the same man who left. The virus affected some that way, not killing them but permanently disabling them.
Anyway, the worst part of the flu came in 1919, as all the soldiers who’d been exposed to the outbreak in the trenches returned to their home cities. That’s what made it the first pandemic to break out worldwide at almost the same time everywhere.

This reminds me of Mount Everest… I’ve recently gotten fascinated all over again with the 1996 tragedy and Jon Krakauer’s book Into Thin Air. In the death zone on Everest it is truly every man for himself…. Climbers often walk right past dying people (probably for good reason: it’s physically impossible at those altitudes to carry someone else down). There was a case in 2025 IIRC a husband and wife climbing together. She collapsed near the summit and he was forced to leave his wife; she died. I just couldn’t put myself in that Sophie’s choice situation. If he would’ve stayed with her he assuredly would’ve died. But how agonizing!

Our life at sea level should not operate like the death zone

Worthless. Inaccurate in all cases I tested,

Most laughable example: One area (dark red) is very desirable for the middle class - people in the region go to great lengths to live there - another (dark green) an hour up the road is literally one of the poorest and worst places in America. It's a place where hope goes to die.

It's dependent on the place being effectively unpopulated. Sometimes that's nice, but it's often because the place sucks and everyone left.

But a place with few people has few black people, and "fewer blacks" is the entire methodology of this thing. If your criteria is "I just never want to encounter black people," it's fine, but not good for much else.

226 Even before entering the war, Wilson had warned Congress, "There are citizens of the United States, I blush to admit ... who have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life ... Such creatures of passion, disloyalty, and anarchy must be crushed out."

pg 122. Ibid.

The government compelled conformity. controlled speech in ways, frightening ways, not known in America before or since. Soon after the declaration of war, Wilson pushed the Espionage Act through a cooperative Congress, which balked only at legalizing outright press censorship - despite Wilson calling it "an imperative necessity."

pg. 123. Ibid.

To enforce that law, the head of what became the Federal Bureau of Investigation agreed to make a volunteer group called the American Protective League an adjunct to the Justice Department, and authorized them to carry badges identifying them as "Secret Service." Within a few months the APL would have ninety thousand members. Within a year, two hundred thousand APL members were operating in a thousand communities.

228 There are AI augmented "crime" apps for your phone. I have one. It pulls police, fire and rescue calls and pushes a snippet of the call to the app. No personal info is recorded and no addresses are displayed. However it will push the street name to the app. I can see a list, or display a map with the incidents that are within a prescribed radius of my home.

There are obvious areas with crime issues. Driving though one is enough to figure things out.

There are five Scotch Whisky regions - Campbeltown, Highland, Islay, Lowland and Speyside. Each offers a different perspective on Scotch Whisky.

Try a lowland whiskey. They tend to be lighter in flavor.

Islay and Campbeltown are most likely to be strong flavored.

Speyside is smokey and Highland is all over the place.

286 That's exactly what the left said Russia did to rig the 2016 election. Turns out not so much.

With all due respect, that is a non sequitor.

The left projects all the time, so when they say that some bad actor did X for reason Y, its what they believe is the mechanism.

Have you ever read the book "Rape of the Mind"? Good book on propaganda and brain washing at scale. Also read Bernay's book "Propaganda"?

One of many ideas is to saturate the zone with the Narrative at the exclusion of all others. One of the many problems with the left accusing Russia of leveraging social media is in the failure of saturating social media. The left does this with Cancellation to rid the zone of competing narratives. They could have just cancelled Russia, which they did.

For case examples, study the social media saturation with C19 scares or with Climate Change hysteria. Extra heavy duty use of social media (actually they saturated every single medium)

We are watching it again with the left helping China dominate AI.

Similar to the law that says bourbon must be made in the USA to be legally called bourbon, Scotch must be made in Scotland to be legally called Scotch.

From the "I read it on the internet so it must be true" files -- I once read that somewhere in Japan is a town named "Scotland" which was specifically renamed as such so they could produce whisky there and call it Scotch.

Nah. I've tried enough scotch to know it's not for me. Especially the peaty stuff. And I'm a high-proof bourbon or rye guy. Almost all of the scotch I see is too low proof for my liking.

331 IIRC, Fauci also had power because he had prominent leadership positions with the globalist WHO and another Bill Gates funded international vaccine org (can't remember, too lazy to look it up).

The point being that organizations that could have debated/disagreed/checked each other had the same people involved, so they work as a coordinated borg (and all getting funded from self-appointed vaccine expert Bill Gates).

That's how Fauci could accumulate power and stay in charge.

"In short, the book contains acknowledged errors, interpretive judgments that many (including some participants) consider unfair or incomplete—particularly toward Boukreev—and has been vigorously debated for decades. Claims of deliberate falsehoods or wholesale invention are not supported by the weight of available evidence and remain contested; the dominant critiques focus on bias, emphasis, and the inherent difficulties of reconstructing events under extreme conditions. Reading Into Thin Air alongside The Climb and other participant accounts gives a fuller picture of the disagreements."
