Ride'em, Meowboy! That's a nice arrangement. The horse's hair and hide are tough so it doesn't even feel the claws, and the cat seems to know that and isn't afraid to use them to climb on. Posted by: Delurker at July 07, 2026 07:33 PM (2Drhq) Posted by: Al at July 07, 2026 07:33 PM (3S7YA) 8

You guys can find a weekend or week long retreat experience to go on I think the RCC retreat will even accept non Catholics . If they're offering the Eucharist you just need not to partake . That I speculate on this - about not being RC to participate comes from someone I know who went on a spiritual retreat and she hadn't been in a RC church in about 40 years except for weddings and funerals and she had a wonderful time. Check "Retreat centers" in your area.

Why do you have to spray water on a bear who is already sitting in water?
Posted by: Bertram Cabot, Jr. at July 07, 2026 08:10 PM (Cqx++) Because the bear likes it! Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at July 07, 2026 08:12 PM (ZVgZ4) I'm sure as hell not going to tell the bear no. Posted by: Diogenes at July 07, 2026 08:41 PM (2WIwB) 117
Interesting...
A bunch of dems interviewed in CNN said they weren't really sure if Platner should drop out. I think he might actually stay in. God help us all...I'm starting to agree with TJM. Posted by: MJ at July 07, 2026 08:44 PM (mF3RU) 118

Everyone and their mom had a 20 minute conversation with Mitch McConnell today. So many 20 minute conversations it has officially been a 25 hour long day. History made! Now that is what you call a filibuster. Even on his death bed Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP won’t terminate the filibuster to pass the Save America Act. Fine, the monks and their beer. But what about rum, or vodka?
Posted by: Bulg Monks make the hard stuff, too. There's been a worldwide shortage of Chartreuse, because the Carthusian monks who make it aren't putting aside prayer time to ramp up production. Posted by: mikeski at July 07, 2026 08:49 PM (VHUov) 124
