Meanwhile, Candace Owens is spamming out new defamatory accusations without evidence, to cover up for her previous defamations having been proven false in court.

Her new claim? Well, Ben Shapiro -- a highly connected person in the media who personally knew Charlie Kirk -- got word through a text that Charlie Kirk had been shot before Candace did, so this must mean... that Ben Shapiro is involved in the murder.

See, it wasn't telling Shapiro "SHIT CHARLIES BEEN SHOT," it was the Israeli assassins telling him "TARGET DOWN, CONGRATULATIONS AND MAZEL TOV."

Candace Owens is not crashing out, contrary to popular belief.
Her frantic posts are the hallmarks of a narcissistic psychopath backed into a corner: the people she misled and profited from are now defecting and demanding answers.
Her decision to double down through denial, aggression, victimhood, blame-shifting, and a complete lack of remorse is calculated. She needs the public to believe she genuinely believes the defamatory claims she promoted--even if she doesn't.
Why? Because she knows there is sufficient evidence to convict Tyler Robinson and expose her own claims as false. If he is convicted, the existing defamation suits against her become stronger, while opening the door to new ones from TPUSA, Andrew Kolvet, Erika Kirk, and others.
She's now laying the groundwork for a legal defense that she acted with a bona fide belief in her claims and without actual malice.

Candace Owens' cultists are now accusing Charlie Kirk's parents of being in on the conspiracy. They're being "paid" to "keep quiet."

The Tate Brothers have been indicted for sex trafficking and pimping out an underaged girl.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan made 1 million pounds from prostituting a teenager through their webcam sex business, police have alleged.
The brothers are facing a heap of new charges from Romania's directorate for investigating organised crime and terrorism (DIICOT).
In addition to charges of human trafficking and rape, prosecutors have now added money laundering, witness intimidation and complicity in the trafficking of minors to the list of charges.
Former world champion kickboxer and self-described misogynist Andrew, 39, is accused of manipulating a 17-year-old girl into working for the Tate brothers' pornography business between November 2014 and December 2021.
She was then placed under the control of Tristan, 37, who is accused of sexually exploiting her by controlling her online webcam account and setting financial targets which she needed to meet, DIICOT said.
The exploitation of the then-17-year-old allegedly earned the brothers $1.53 million (1.14 million pounds).
Prosecutors said between 2018 and 2021, Tristan recruited three victims using the 'lover boy method' - showering them with gifts to emotionally blackmail them into sex work.
Tristan is accused of intimidating 11 witnesses into making false statements, or not giving statements to prosecutors.

Andrew is also said to have threatened two alleged victims and two alleged witnesses with lawsuits to withdraw their cooperation with the police.
Both brothers are also accused of illegally selling luxury vehicles.
Five of the Tates' luxury vehicles were also seized by the authorities.
In the UK, the brothers have been charged with 21 offences, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.
Both brothers deny the allegations.

You know, I might be skeptical of these charges, if the Tate brothers did not have a subscription life coaching service where they teach men how to manipulate girls into being whores using the "loverboy" treatment (which is actually how pimps recruit hookers) -- tell them how much you love them, but they just need to do this one thing to make them some money...

A woman in a NJ prison is suing the state for forcing her to share unmonitored spaces with a "female" prisoner, who sexually assaulted her. She says she was penetrated by this "female" prisoner's penis, in both the vagina and mouth.

What's gotten into women, anyway?

An inmate at New Jersey's only women's prison is appealing the dismissal of a lawsuit she filed against the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) alleging that she was sexually abused by a trans-identified male transfer. In the August 2023 complaint, the woman, identified in court records as F. H., said that a "transgender inmate" with "fully functioning male parts" raped her on two occasions, in September and October 2022.

While the name of the male transfer was anonymized as Q. G. in court records, Reduxx can reveal that the "transgender inmate" named in the lawsuit is violent convict Quagee Gibbons, who stands at 6'1″ and weighs nearly 300 pounds.
Gibbons, who is listed as a "female" in the New Jersey inmate directory, has multiple convictions, including for manslaughter in 2014, threats of violence, and physical assault.
According to the suit, the Edna Mahan Corrections Facility for Women (EMCFW) houses multiple trans-identified male inmates who routinely harass the women there. F. H. alleges that the NJDOC and EMCF "failed to take timely and adequate corrective actions to protect the women inmates from transgender inmates with a fully functioning male sexual anatomy." Despite numerous complaints being lodged about the men's "sexually aggressive and harassing behavior," corrections officers and the NJDOC ignored the women's concerns.

Prison officials "failed to create a safe and secure environment for the female inmates," reads the complaint. "Transgenders were allowed to mix with females in areas with no correction officer supervision or oversight. An example is that transgenders were housed with female inmates in areas with no security cameras."
In September and October 2022, F. H. was housed in the same wing as Gibbons. She notes that due to the lack of cameras in the hallway, male officers were not permitted to enter the area without first announcing themselves.
Despite this, Gibbons was given "unfettered access and private access" to F. H., who she says "used his / her penis to commit both oral and vaginal intercourse." She reported the sexual assault to EMCF staff, but was issued disciplinary charges in retaliation. Attempts were made to transfer her to a prison in another state, and F. H. says she has been repeatedly placed in solitary confinement.
In her lawsuit, F. H. requested financial compensation for her "severe emotional distress", as well as punitive damages, and attorneys' fees. She also invoked the Law Against Discrimination (LAD), asserting that she was discriminated against and harassed on the basis of her "gender."

Yes, and the book is overlong, like a number of his works.

I do recommend 11/22/63, about time travel to the late '50s-early '60s with a catch to the time travel I'd never read before. It's a grand story . . . and Beverly, the redhead girl from It, appears charmingly in one chapter when the hero travels to Derry, the town where the latter novel happened.

The novels Shining, Shawshank, Green Mile, and Salem's Lot are extraordinary, as was the novelette, "The Body," that became Stand By Me. The short story "Children of the Corn" is nicely creepy, but it was too short (like the short that got blown up into Maximum Overdrive) to sustain a whole movie.

11/22/63 does a wonderful job of painting a picture of late Fifties-early Sixties America (not perfect, but the hero, a young man in 2011, finds the period wonderful). It has action, suspense, and a love story. And you may learn some things about Lee Harvey Oswald you did not know.

141 The Bachman Books was a collection of four novels, one or two he wrote early in his career which never sold. The Long Walk has a great SF idea, but it didn't grab me. Getting It On was topical ahead of its time -- a teenager takes his class hostage at gunpoint, shoots their teacher, and gets his classmates to turn on each other. (My edition has that story, but King has dropped it from later editions.)

Roadwork is very Seventies, and is kinda dull; it's a straight novel, not a genre tale. But The Running Man is hyperdrive action and loads of fun.

159 I'm sorry, but I 100% support Cambridge City Council shutting down the "gun detection" devices. It's not what you think it is. The device is called "Shot Spotter". It is a series of high quality listenting devices installed all over the municipality.

There is some question as to whether it actually worked.

No, there isn't. ShotSpotter is well tested and proven. Occasionally the system would give false positives for bigger fireworks or loud sharp construction noises, but it did just fine at detecting and locating gunshots.

But, even if it did, it is a blatant violation of your "Right to Privacy". These devices were recording everything including conversations and then distributed to law enforcement in a number of instance that had nothing to do with "guns".

Absolute bullshit. Shot spotter works by detecting sudden, loud, sharp explosive noises. It does this at multiple locations, then does some math to do triangulation. The microphones are not continuously recording. Even the ACLU couldn't find any conversation recording privacy threats or violations.

I'm wondering if this was the plan all along. If your intel says that Iran can hold out for six months or so before cracking, how do you sell it? His answer: you don't. You play it out, string it along, stretch the ceasefires, develop target lists, infiltrate and all the while pressure on Iran increases.

New oil routes are progressing during all this time so that the Strait becomes meaningless. Oh, and US capacity is also going up, as is Venezuela's.

It does have one of my favorite lines - the black caretaker talks about someone in the beginning, and something about them dying. And then he says "happy thoughts keep us young."

He can dodge the "its been 10 weeks" media line by declaring a ceasefire and a return to talks. This also works to dodge congressional War powers.

By letting pauses happen he eases resupply and negates people bitching about civilian casualties. By having Iran break the ceasefires even the anti Americans are hard pressed to make a case other than Trump Bad.

And I also think that he and the Israelis are already talking not just to the Civil government but also to factions in country - the IGRC military, the Shah's kid's Guard insurgents, disaffected IGRCs if any. To look at the issues historically, war is always a mixed bag, and even in the most successful wars, there are always some colossal mistakes. Yes, the 3 month pause was a mistake, the war could have been over by now. But we're strong enough to overcome it and win anyways.

For every D-Day, there's an Anzio, and for every Battle of the Bulge, there's a Hurtgen Forest. In the end, an army mainly needs persistence and a few more successes than failures.

I've grown quite skeptical of the prospect of "Regime Change" in the short term, at least, because I believe that's going to require a civil war that kills about 5% to 10% of the population, looking at historically similar situations. In Iran, that'll be 5 - 8 million casualties, and no one from outside is going to go in and do the kind of killing needed to make that happen. We just won't.

And the idea that a big change could happen without a whole lot of death is just a fantasy.

I disagree. There is no "fast forwarding" to the end of this. The planners get it, and that was built into it, and there are many indicators of this.

To be sure, the hope was that Iran would collapse. But they anticipated what to do if that didn't work. Nothing like our 20 years of strategic failure.

I hate King because of his nasty personality and his wretched writing style. He also focuses on subjects that do not interest me at all.

One of the creepy things about him (other than pedo tendencies) is that he sees a very ugly world and populates it with ugly people. Lots of revenge fantasies, drawn-out cruelty, suffering and pain - it's really sadistic.

I guess people can like that, but it seems a very negative place to be mentally, certainly not my idea of entertainment.

216 Carrie is a strange little book. King himself has said that looking at it again years later, he can hardly remember writing it, as if he typed it all while suffering from the flu. It's really well done, now, and effective, but I don't see why Brian DePalma seized on it to make a film out of.

King's second published novel, Salem's Lot, is an absolute classic of the vampire tale and deserves all the attention it's gotten.

You are assuming that the IGRC has more popular support than it has, even without the decapitation attacks we have already done. If you rule only by power things can dissolve very quickly - see the fall of the Warsaw pact nations and finally the USSR in the 90s. See also how Iran was taken over by the terrorists in the 70s.

The IRGC is directly analagous to the Nazi SS. They would never ever have been overthrown except by an outside force, just like Kim il Jong will never be overthrown from inside. They're in a political cul de sac that those countries no longer have the power to break out of.

I'd say - other than the King penchant for kid diddling - he did a fine job of NOT wrapping up a story.

As in "here's what people did, and it didn't turn out well".

Storm of the Century was one of his best works, in my view. Excellently cast including Debrah Farantino. The first Karen. Her and Kate Mulgrew.

That strategy had interesting prospects, we started it and walked away just when it looked like it would have results. It's sad that apparently no plans were ever made to try to get some kind of local resistance going; the story about the Kurds stealing the weapons is too idiotic to believe, it has to be a cover story for just not trying.
