My guess is that he contacted some minors on Kik or on some other platform and there's incriminating evidence, but some of these former minors are Democrats and holding out for a big payment.
However, if they don't get their money soon they will start talking.
There probably is additional evidence, but it probably is in the hands of Democrat-friendly institutions like Kik itself, so it won't be released; instead it will be used to make sure Platner remains faithful.
This is just a guess, but is what I would expect from a Democrat politician.

I checked RCP and the best poll for Collins in 2020 was a Bangor Daily News poll of LVs from late Sept that put her opponent up by 1 point. The RCP average was about +5 for her opponent.

Polls are worthless in the Summer--to get the number of responses, polling firms use all adults or registered voters, not likely voters. That screening is more expensive (more calls have to be made) and even then, state polling is usually plus or minus 5 percent which makes them useless in a lot of state races if the pollster does not 'know' the state in order to properly weight the responses to reflect the guess as to the voting population.
The funny thing is individuals placing bets on prediction markets rely on bad polling data to place those bets and yet voila, the media and individuals keep reporting those results as if they are superior to the crappy polling data that underlies them.

Polling sucks anyway in summer. Vacays, etc. make a likely voter demographic less able to be reached. Polling in general is down the toilet unless you do secondary verification and likely voter screens.

I would assume Mills will demand the nod if they do swap out Platner and it would probably hurt them in the other Maine races but uh not that much. Blue states are not what is going to be at issue much in this election for the Senate or House as the blue states have pretty much gerrymandered the left coast and New England to be GOP free. The message has to play in the flyover country and socialism isn't that popular outside of blue college towns there.

I also watched as the Indian mafia took over. Teams that had one or two Indian guys, some Russian guys, several Americans, some Chinese, etc. would become 100% Indian. I sat in on interviews and saw the mediocre candidates who were Indian get offers over the better candidates. I even met a few cuter Indian girls who somehow got FTE offers after whiteboard interviews with questions that were easier than the questions they'd give to contractors.

Blue states are not what is going to be at issue much in this election for the Senate or House as the blue states have pretty much gerrymandered the left coast and New England to be GOP free. The message has to play in the flyover country and socialism isn't that popular outside of blue college towns there.

Given the shitty quality of Windows 11, I am not surprised. Likely the last Windows OS installed on a computer I use as I no longer need Office compatibility for work and I will probably move to a Mac for taxes.
Last office laptop was a Mac anyway and if my tax program ran on Linux through WINE or Crossover, I would not bother with Crapple either.
