The Morning Rant

A judiciary that does not reflect the cultural desires of a country is out of step with the people they are sworn to protect. A judiciary that actively subverts the obvious intent of the law, subordinating it to their own peculiar and disturbing brand of social justice is irreparably broken and must be discarded.

And this is a good start, but one that must be expanded to the federal judiciary, whose politically motivated temper-tantrums are now simply assumed to be coming after every significant policy decision by the Trump administration.

Florida Shows How States Can Restrain Rogue Judges Who Let Violent Criminals Go Free

For too long, leftist judges have flouted the law and put criminals back on the streets. Following the principles of Critical Legal Theory, which holds that the “law supports a power dynamic which favors the historically privileged and disadvantages the historically underprivileged,” they actively subvert the legal process in any way they can. This usually translates to accepting bogus claims of mental incompetence, issuing lighter sentences for serious crimes, and seeking out alternatives to incarceration. By doing so, they can do their part to remedy the “disparate impact” of the law on black Americans who proportionally commit crimes in far greater numbers than other those in other racial groups.

Pour encourager les autres!. Maybe other Florida hacks-in-black will think twice before releasing some malignant evil onto the streets of their state. Or maybe their arrogance will overwhelm their sense of self-preservation, and the Attorney General will create an "Office Of Judicial Conduct" and go after every single Judge who considers his personal morality to be superior to the will of the people of Florida.

And if that doesn't work? How about changing the law in Florida and making judges personally liable for the criminal acts of those they release? That would be a joy to behold!

Because if the judges aren't controlled through checks and balances, victim's family members will controll them permanently. It's a binary solution, and the judges get to choose which way the scales fall. I won't shed a single tear when it eventually happens either.

People need to remember that Maine is 40% registered independent.

A solid slice of these will be dedicated Democrat partisans in all but name, but the kind of people who register as independent really are those kinds of people who will decide, "The candidate is too flawed. I'll leave the space blank," or just simply not vote.

Collins is barely going to spend any money and win by at least 20 points, no matter who the oppositional candidate is.

If the KY legislature is going to go ahead and impeach the governor, and it gets torpedoed right after the judiciary already torpedoed their effort to impeach a judge...I would expect more than harshly worded letters in response from the legislature.

Especially with the KY GOP realizing that they might have delayed the Trump era in the state hiding behind Mitch's pork, but it has certainly come. Massie outside should have told them. I actually don't mind her.

All of her votes against us ultimately don't matter because they either don't pass or were going to pass without her. And she has some key votes to get us over the finish line (like Kavanaugh).

That's in contrast to Murkowski who just revels in fucking us over.

If we had 53 Senators, one of whom was Collins who could vote against us whenever she wanted and the other 52 voted with us all the time, she could just be another vote for leadership votes and committees.

The problem is people like Tillis, Ernst, Mitch, Murkowski. And every indication is that the number of recalcitrant representatives and senators are becoming a dying breed.

How about, let's say, instead of letting the historically privileged off with nothing, and the the historically underprivileged off because we let the rich off, we hold everyone, rich or poor, to the same standard. That way justice is served, no matter who you are. And the crazy defense is no longer valid. They are to be held in a criminal mental institution until they aren't crazy anymore, then they do the sentence they have earned by breaking the law. Of course this may be too much for the libs to understand.
