We Need Proof of Life of Mitch McConnell

This isn't Russia -- we are entitled to know which of our "representatives" are living and capable of working.

But of course this nation increasingly resembles Russia.

Two weeks after deliberately vague reports about McConnell being "rushed" to the hospital, it is only due to a leak of EMS radio traffic that we now find out he was discovered "unconscious" and in need of "advanced life support."

So where is he now? Is he conscious?

Our Soviet officials won't tell us.

It has been over two weeks since Senator Mitch McConnell was hospitalized. EMS radio traffic now reveals that the 84-year-old Kentucky Republican was found "unconscious" at his Washington, D.C., home before being hospitalized on June 14.
Punchbowl News reported, "Just before 9 a.m. on June 14, the dispatcher directed an ALS (Advanced Life Support) ambulance to the address of the former Senate GOP leader's home. Audio of the EMS dispatch was circulating online earlier this week and was posted by journalist Desiree Townsend."
Later on the same day, McConnell spokesperson David Popp said the senator was hospitalized and "receiving excellent care." On June 22, Popp said that McConnell was "working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery."
No update has been provided on whether the senator remains hospitalized. According to several GOP senators, including Senate Majority Leader John Thune, they have spoken with McConnell. Thune is "dialed in" on Senate happenings.

Uh-huh.

Note that this follows several prominent congressmen who were later shown to be non compos mentis or too sickly to actually attend Congress. And I don't just mean Joe Biden. Diane Feinstein was mentally incapable of doing her job for years, with her staff unconstitutionally assuming senatorial power to decide how to vote on the nation's bills.

Biden's cartoonishly unhealthy Secretary of Defense just completely skipped class for months, undergoing secret hospital procedures that Racist Americans just weren't allowed to know about.

The revelation that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had prostate cancer surgery and was later hospitalized in intensive care due to complications from that operation without President Joe Biden, Cabinet members or even his deputy knowing has put an intense spotlight on what staff knew when and why they did not inform government or military leaders or the public.
Austin has since returned to work, but was hospitalized again Feb. 11 "for symptoms suggesting an emergent bladder issue." While his doctors have said his prognosis is excellent, Austin's mobility has been noticeably affected, sometimes using a cane or motorized cart to get around the Pentagon.
Austin finally addressed questions surrounding his hospitalization in a press conference earlier this month where he said he never told anyone on his staff to keep his hospitalization a secret. That has left unanswered questions as to why some members of his staff chose not to inform Biden or the public about it.

Department of Transportation head Pete Butigieg secretly took two months of maternity leave to bond with his adopted gaybies, instructing his staff to pretend he was in the office the whole time.

Since Buttigieg and his husband Chasten adopted newborn twins in 2021, the Democrat and his family have been repeatedly criticized and mocked by Republicans, including former Vice President Mike Pence. Most recently, Pence made what the White House described as a "homophobic joke" about Buttigieg taking parental leave.
"When Pete's two children were born, he took two months' maternity leave whereupon thousands of travelers were stranded in airports, the air traffic system shut down, and airplanes nearly collided on our runways," Pence reportedly said at the annual Gridiron Dinner for journalists and politicians in Washington, D.C., on March 11. "Pete is the only person in human history to have a child and everyone else gets postpartum depression."

Federica Wilson, a Democrat DEI goofball, was absent from Congress for a month without telling anyone why. Only in May did she announce an official absence, saying she needed eye surgery. Okay -- what about the month before that?

Tom Kean Jr., a Nepo baby, was absent from Congress for four months without leave. He now says he was diagnosed with depression.

During his absence from Congress, Kean missed more than 100 votes. He was seen near his House office on Tuesday and finally spoke publicly about his prolonged absence, saying that after medical testing, he was diagnosed with depression.
"I did not believe this would result in a long-term stay," he said.
"Depression is so much more than that. It is physical, it is emotional, and until you experience it yourself, it is difficult to fully understand it," Kean said. "I am a private person by nature. Talking about myself has never come naturally. If sharing my story encourages even one person to seek help, then this moment will have been worthwhile."
Kean continued collecting his congressional salary during his absence. He was scheduled to hold a conference call with Republican officials later on Tuesday.
The mystery over Kean's absence carries potential political implications, given the competitive district he represents and the Republican Party's narrow control of the House.

Obviously no one wishes further ill upon the ailing -- but these are our employees. They are not allowed to skip out of work for weeks or months at a time while having their taxpayer-paid staffs lie to taxpayers about their absences.

I don't think it works that way. As far as I know, each of them can take as little or as much time off as they want, as long as their leadership knows what they're up to if they're needed for votes. Some of them are workaholics and would work every day if they could and some take a lot of time off during recesses. And they make a fixed amount each year, so they don't get paid OT. Each congresscritter's office sets its own PTO policies for staff.

Probably, but it's not a slam dunk. The Ky constitutional provision refers to the gov filling vacancies "in all offices for the State at large." Those offices are not defined in the constitution, but sections 69 - 96 are titled "Officers for the State at Large" and there is no mention of those elected to federal offices.

Something happened that warranted some sort of action by the DPS, the state police confirmed that much.

But one thing I can guarantee with absolute certainty is that child protective services would never remove kids from buttegigs house without some solid concrete evidence.
