But now everyone is saying that Iran has received...nothing. And that the US is willing to unfreeze $3 billion of the $12 billion in frozen assets if Iran simply abides by the MOU and stops threatening the strait. Oh, and Iran can't sell its oil. No one wants to buy shit oil from terrorists at market prices, especially after the world moved on (demand destruction in Asia) and found new sources (us, mostly). Houman David Hemmati, MD, PhD @houmanhemmati · Mr. Mamdani, If America is truly “an arena of supremacy” that persecutes its people, why did you come here from Uganda instead of staying in India or building your vision where you were born? America is like our child. As parents and citizens who chose her, we have a sacred duty to criticize her quietly when she falls short—so we can help her grow stronger and wiser. But we also have a duty to publicly praise her, celebrate her, defend her, and stand with her—especially on her 250th birthday. You don’t trash your own kid to the whole world on her big day. That’s not love. That’s not leadership. That’s ingratitude. I was rescued by this country as a small child. She gave my family freedom, opportunity, and a chance to thrive when we had nothing. I owe her everything. And with that gratitude comes the obligation to serve her, protect her, and make her better every single day—not tear her down in public on the day we celebrate everything she has given the world. Happy 250th Birthday, America. I will always choose to lift you up. Posted by: beckster at July 03, 2026 03:04 PM (kX27y) 99

Posted by: Blonde Morticia at July 03, 2026 02:32 PM (mmrXZ) _____ Yes, they would have. Like Trump, Bombdaddy didn't create a movement. He capitalized on an existing movement, one in this case which has been gestating inside the Democrap party for 50 years. All these primaries have almost zero turnout, and are almost certainly controlled by the party bosses. Nobody gets elected in NYC without the will of the party and the real power in NYC: Wall Street and big business in general. The idea that an endorsement by a guy who nobody ever heard of a year ago, and who barely won his election against a hated and damaged opponent, was the deciding factor in any of these DSA wins seems highly unlikely to me. Its not the same as the bicentennial, because Im not fifty years younger and surrounded by family (the adults of whom are doing the work of making it a celebration). But I have been typing in several orations and commemorations on the deaths of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson on the Jubilee, July 4, 1826. They have been almost invariably inspiring.
The contemporary and successive generations of men will disappear. In the long laps of ages, the Tribes of America, like those of Greece and Rome, may pass away. The fabric of American Freedom, like all things human, however firm and fair, may crumble into dust. But the cause in which these our Fathers shone is immortal. They did that, to which no age, no people of reasoning men, can be indifferent. Their eulogy will be uttered in other languages when those we speak, like us who speak them, shall be all forgotten.Edward Everett, August 1, 1826. We live in the greatest country in the world. I'm sickened over people trying to destroy our country. You don't like it here LEAVE. If we stopped giving our hard-earned money to the invaders a lot of this shit would stop. We vote for people who we think will do what is right but we still get screwed. Money is the root of evil. The commemoration of events like these, the contemplation of a scene like this, elevate our thoughts from Earth to Heaven, lead us to look more reverently on the ways of Providence, and point us to the source of every temporal good.
