Elon Musk Posts Entire Film "Citizen Vigilante"

The Uwe Boll/Armie Hammer violent revenge thriller Citizen Vigilante has been banned in Germany for being too closely linked to actual crimes the establishment insists aren't even happening, Racists.

Action thriller "Citizen Vigilante," starring Armie Hammer, has been banned in Germany for its extreme violence and alleged anti-migrant message, according to director Uwe Boll. The film, billed as a modern-day riff on "Death Wish," is being released in the U.S. on Friday by Quiver.

"The rating system refused to give us a rating [in Germany], so now you can only watch it if you bring in a Blu-ray from Austria or Switzerland," Boll told the Daily Telegraph. "And I think they did that on purpose. It was a deliberate censorship decision. I hired a lawyer to complain about it, but we lost in a six-two vote as I was told that the film was inciting violence against migrants."

"Citizen Vigilante," which begins with a mother being stabbed to death by migrant criminals in front of her son, features Hammer as Sanders, an ordinary man who is enraged by the breakdown of law and order and decides to deliver vigilante justice to criminals and the corrupt officials that protect them. His targets are mostly, but not exclusively, migrants.

"Citizen Vigilante" was inspired by a notorious case in Hamburg in 2016, when a group of teenagers gang-raped a 14-year-old girl and left her for dead, only for the perpetrators to walk free with suspended sentences.

"If you look at what happened in Hamburg, where the rapists walked free without any penalty, the coverage in the media was like 'Oh, the poor perpetrators,'" Boll told the Telegraph. "It's as if we're living in a completely insane and absurd political environment, especially in Europe, where people have completely lost track. There is a huge difference between so-called 'hate speech' and stabbing people in the neck. But facts don't matter anymore."

"It's absurd how I feel politically," Boll added. "Now you're being told that if you're a conservative about anything -- social, sexual, political -- that you're a Nazi. But this is how things stand at the moment. If you question anything -- such as the hundreds of billions being pumped into Ukraine -- then you're either a friend of Putin or a Nazi or both." When the Telegraph asked him if he was a Nazi, Boll laughed before answering: "I am not a Nazi!"

Just because he can, Elon Musk posted the entire movie on X. I assume he worked out some kind of payment for the filmmakers to compensate them. I guess he just wants the movie seen, including in Germany.

I haven't seen the movie, but this film is not playing around.

Boy was I wrong when I said something like "the movie will probably claim the real criminals are Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein's zombie."

Is it too inciting?

Well, Hollywood put out an explicitly pro-terrorist/pro-antifa/pro-bombing movie last years and then showered it with Oscars.

Paul Thomas Anderson's political thriller One Battle After Another earned 13 Academy Award nominations at the 2026 Oscars. It took home six awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay.Total Nominations (13)The film was the second most-nominated movie of the year, with nods in the following categories:

Best Picture - Adam Somner, Sara Murphy, Paul Thomas Anderson

Best Director - Paul Thomas Anderson

Best Adapted Screenplay - Paul Thomas Anderson

Best Actor - Leonardo DiCaprio

Best Supporting Actor - Benicio Del Toro

Best Supporting Actor - Sean Penn

Best Supporting Actress - Teyana Taylor

Best Original Score - Jonny Greenwood

Best Casting - Cassandra Kulukundis

Best Production Design

Best Film Editing

Best Sound

Best Cinematography - Michael Bauman

So I guess "Our Betters" have laid down the rule that a movie that can incite people to easily-achievable real-world violence is not only acceptable, but laudable.

He probably will give Boll the money that the video generates, I suspect, even though it's from Musk's account.

13 Gah! Willow'd:

Philosophically, I think that the rise of Marxism and Islam shows the danger of ordinary corruption. They're essentially confidence schemes, but in polities where grift is rampant, they have lost their immune response that would have protected against it.

Action becomes Repetition becomes Habit becomes Character which, when combined with Circumstance, becomes Destiny. Corruption that is not immediately rooted out swiftly becomes endemic, and collapse will surely follow, as inevitable as Nemesis pursuing Hubris.

And then, what can anyone say? "Uh, sure the rest of us are all scammers too, but the Islamunist is worse?" That is a weak defense that they can't even attempt anyway, once the lying has become habitual.

Therefore, logically, it will fall to the anti-socialist parts of the country to support the MAGA Federal gov't in using the 14A as shield and sword for the civil rights of Americans in those benighted places. Our human instinct to let them feel the consequences that they brought on themselves is unworthy of our higher nature, and With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility.

The other vidjagaem movies Boll had done were Producers scams. Just big writeoffs to bilk the German taxpayer.

Posted by: Ted Torgerson at June 26, 2026 04:39 PM (wGerL)

30 I reviewed is a couple threads back

------------
I thought it was kind of bad at first with lots of stuff that is offputting. But upon reflection, it is close to a perfect motivational piece. It makes it clear that there will be a lot of blood, a lot of innocents "just doing their job" killed, and a lot of imperfect heros

I don't know if it was intentional, but I am starting to think it is a brilliant masterpiece.
Posted by: bob (moron inbobnitus)

244 Yes, I want to reiterate - the movie is a masterpiece. It casually mentions lots of harm that the migrants and government are doing and allowing. And it triggers the emotion just right, with the helpless father and broken victims. But it does so with realistic complications.

It is more subtle than Death Wish, but what we face now is not as easy as "3 strikes law" or mandatory minimum sentencing. What we face now is civilization destroying, and to prevent it was need to give up some of our devoutly cherished principles, like equality and freedom, as well as due process.

This was something that came up on one of the review channels I watch the other day. They were discussing something and said the 'leading man' did not 'command the screen.'

I have been thinking about this one a bit. John Wayne certainly did. Charleston Heston. James Garner. Mel Gibson. They draw the eye and you in by acting. I may agree that they intended hammer to be the 'lead' but it was Cavill who commanded the scenes he was in.

I was too young and too foreign to watch all that jazz, but I remember it was hated the most by "liberals". (As they were then known.) Bloom County mocked all the superpatriotic stuff in the theaters.
Maybe National Review thought all that stuff was icky (probably just as well I wasn't reading that rag at that age, they might have wanted my ass) but if the question is, who hated Dirty Harry and Red Dawn the most; the answer is, the media establishment.

I probably wouldn't enjoy the same type of movie even if I agreed with the message.

Also, from the clips I've seen, Armie Hammer has the dramatic range and delivery of a fence post.

Posted by: PabloD at June 26, 2026 05:09 PM (tTZHu)

152 I'm torn about this film. In the modern era, we NEED a new breed of Dirty Harry Style, vigilante justice films, of good people (dare I say antiheroes), meting out justice when the corrupt government or political systems aren't capable of it. Street justice. It's time for a revival. (Jason Statham cannot carry this whole genre on his back, after all! Though Beekeeper was satisfying for anyone who's had an elder they love get scammed online.)

On the other hand, though, Uwe Boll is kind of a trash director (I'll never get the time I spent watching Bloodrayne back), and Armie Hammer is a gross disgusting human in his personal life, possibly cannibal curious. Hollywood tried to make him a thing, but his personal life got him canceled. I kind of hate this film might help him make a comeback.

But if this is the Streisand phenomenon film that slaps Hollywood in the face and tells them to snap out of it, make films people want to see on topics they care about, and it actually works, I'll put up with it. Or, more importantly, if it's the film that gets the young creative Gen Z indie filmmakers out there and making fresh content. And they rattle the industry and shake it up.

That is insanely vile to me. I'm still so angry it won. Painting the WU in a film as misguided but noble is sickening.

The Weather Underground actually bombed the capitol in the 80s, a real firebomb. And the FBI botched the evidence against terrorist Bill Ayers so he went free. His terrorist wife was imprisoned, but Clinton pardoned her before he left office. Another terrorist woman Clinton pardoned ended up leading the Black Lives Matter/Antifa grift.

Until Hollywood realizes THEY are the baddies, I can't get too mad about vigilante films telling the secret truths we know exist, but aren't allowed to talk about.

Taking seven authorized breaks a day ... to do a little Whores Bath, take off shoes, and such ... seems dumb.

Then again ... walking out every fifteen minutes to light up a cig seems dumb.

Now tell me again ... how often do I have to listen to a woman in Islam ? Asking for a friend.

Interesting.

I will say this: his depiction of Washington in the musical Hamilton is sublime. I was mad at how the miniseries John Adams (with Paul Giommati) slandered their take on Washington to make Adams look better. The musical's depiction is so much better. He accidentally made a very pro America, pro founding fathers musical.

And I do like the music he did in Moana. The live action musical comes out next month. Still can't get used to seeing the Rock with hair in the trailers.

I think there's a deeper game being played here. Whenever some rogue Iranian pops a missile or two, CENTCOM is clear to engage targets that they've recently identified.

We stopped bombing because we ran out of targets. The ceasefire allows us to track and uncover more. Iran can't protest because that would give the game away.

About a decade ago I was assaulted by some dirtbag at the Zoo in Tacoma. Dude was teaching his kid to hit the captive birds with a stick, and I asked him to stop doing that. So, he pushed me down and spit on me.

Cops came. Said they didn't want to arrest him because he had his kid with him. I pointed out that I had my kid with me, too, and hardly thought that was a good excuse.

Nothing whatsoever was done to the dirtbag.

If DH had been there, something would have happened to the dirtbag. And somebody would have been arrested.
