NoVaMoMe 2026 What - you thought there wasn't going to be a NoVaMoMe in 2026? Note: One of the great joys of NoVAMoMe season, at least for me, is being able to cut and paste the entire block of text below and haranguing you to attend the event. Are you attending? Are you focusing on the fundamentals of attending? Alright, guys and gals, the long awaited and highly anticipated details of the 2026 NoVAMoMe are here! That's right, I finally got my act together and updated the information page for 2026, and need to go over a few details. First, the date is June 20th, 2026 from 11am to 3pm. Nextly, my bestest blog buddy bluebell and I have decided 2026 will continue the longstanding tradition of NoVAMoMe simplification, and want to pass along the changes from prior years. First, no registration and no advance charge for food. If you would like to attend, send an email to WeaselBell Productions, and let us know. You will be directed to a sekrit webpage with all of the details. We do ask once you have decided to attend to let us know so we can coordinate an expected count with venue management. Once there if you are hungry or thirsty simply order from the onsite menu and pay separately. Cash and credit cards accepted. Next, although fun, we have decided to again take a break from the raffles and mug sales this year. Depending on how it goes, that may be something we bring back in future years. While your generosity is always appreciated, with no prize table, please leave donations and contributions at home, but bring your appetite for a great afternoon spent with your imaginary online friends. Next, a NoVAMoMe PSA from our pal bluebell Hi folks - just a quick PSA. If you write for info about the MoMe, please give us a few words in the body of the email just so I know you are a Moron and not a spammer (moron). I do receive spam on this email account because it's sitting right here in my nic, so that's why I'm asking. I don't want to give our details to a spammer. Also, remember to check your spam folder if you don't receive a reply email. Thanks.Seriously, just send an email then go to the website with the password provided. If you forget, a link to the email is on the main page, left sidebar. If you do not sign up, bluebell will be disappointed. Weasel will be disappointed, too, but it's bluebell you need to worry about. That's it, people. Don't be a dork. Email WeaselBell Productions today! Highway Patrol! A note about sources. The brick & mortar/online divide exists with cigars, as with guns, and most consumer products, with respect to price. As with guns - since both are "persecuted industries", basically - I make a conscious effort to source at least some of my cigars from my local store(s). It's a small thing, but the brick & mortar segment for both guns and tobacco are precious, and worth supporting where you can. And if you're lucky enough to have a good cigar store/lounge available, they're often a good social event with many dangerous people of the sort who own scary gunz, or read smart military blogs like this one. -rhomboid Anyone have others to include? Perhaps a small local roller who makes a cigar you like? Send me your recommendation and a link to the site! I'm really very seriously not kidding around anymore. I posted about spitting scopes after the Tx MoMe.
We spent what i thought was a lot of money on a spotting scope (about $400 iirc). 80mm objective. Spent money on a good tripod too. They are good for spotting. But. The scopes weasel and the like are using are an entirely different level. Order of magnitude higher price. $3k plus. But they are also significantly better. Are they 10x better? I don't know but you could see whether you hit the thousand through those scopes. Ours? Kinda. Looks like we hit it. I will say if RI Red had not been spotting - between his skill and that much better optic - we wouldn't have hit the 1000. Posted by: blaster at June 14, 2026 07:38 PM (8NhC4) 56
Hi weasel!
Hi gang! Thanks for the thread. Range report Did some .380 firing and was not great, but hit the target not really using sights and low ready as fast as I could. Colt .380 is my console pistol, so I would be firing one handed through a window opening quickly. Otherwise, I’m driving around through or over the aggressor. Ruger Mark IV plinking was very satisfying. Small groups at 10 yards. Easy peasy. Posted by: nurse ratched. at June 14, 2026 07:41 PM (DMpo1) 57

Eromero, I once assisted at a cooking class for a chef making pecan pie from his own recipe. He looked at the amount of bourbon required and said "That can't be right!" and upended the bottle!

Blaster, you’re right. Order of magnitude is great, but for our non-expert level of shooting, not necessary for spotting.

SO just watched a video on Pre WWII and US needed to see if we could build a machine gun. Browning had the gun, Ma Duce style.
Government sent it the Knudsen at GM to see if he could build 280 at firm fixed price. He handed the gun to Saginaw (gears and steering) and the proceeded to make a copy. Under the contract length they made 29,000 machines guns at somewhere near 1/20th the cost of the Browning. My contribution to Gun Threads. DeLisle Carbine reproduction (.45 ACP, integrally suppressed) Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless (.32 ACP, made in 1922) Walther PPK SD (.32 ACP) factory threaded barrel with suppressor. Unfortunately, the suppressor does block the sights. Walther PPK (.32 ACP) H&K CC9 (9mm) All of the .32's are easy to handle and quite mild to shoot. 63 I have a Mark III 22/45 with a bull barrel, and the thing is ridiculously accurate.
Posted by: Military Moron MM, I have one of those and, you’re right, it’s ridiculously accurate. Posted by: RI Red It's what I used many, many years ago for the first (only?) Ace of Spades "postal" style match. I can't find my submission, but I think I scored pretty well....maybe dropping 3 out of 50 shots from the 10 ring? Oh, I found it. Back in 2016! Wow...time flies. I got 47 in the X, and 3 in the 10 ring. Gun definitely does it's part...misses are all on me. Posted by: Military Moron at June 14, 2026 08:08 PM (YFHwl) 79

Evenin' gun nuts. I'm sad to say I can't be at the NoVaMoMe again this year. I had planned to go, but I just have too many problems in the crawl space right now. No doubt this hurts me more than it hurts you. Wait, isn't that what our parents used to say when they spanked us?

Good evening all
So I ordered a holster for my G48. I was so excited, stuck the gun in the holster and then couldn't get it out. Even rad the directions which were no help. Finally got it out but thought, I'd be dead. It is a DeSantis. It felt really heavy in my pocket. Beginning to think I need use a different method to carry or again think about a lighter gun. I had no trouble drawing Sra Buster's Kimber CDs9 from her holster so thought this would be a piece of cake. But... Any advice?
