I finally finished the stocking that I started making for Grandson the Younger last night. I had to put it away for a whole year because the previous chemo meds that I was on made my hands shake and adversely affected my vision.
Thankfully the protocol that I am currently on doesn't cause those side effects. The shop where I send my pieces to be finished has a cut-off date for stocking finishing of September 1st, so Niko's stock8ng will be ready to hang with the rest of the family's stockings this Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄 It's not quite as elaborate as the ones that I made for other family members, but when I got my initial diagnosis I didn't think I would be around/able to make a complicated stocking in time for him. Carmelo Anthony's Dad:
Went on CBS Morning today and said his son Carmelo was tried "by an all white jury." This is known to lawyers by the technical term "Bullzh*t!!!" There was 1 Asian on the trial jury (i.e., not alternates), and 2 other jurors of Indian background (i.e., from India).* I'm pretty sure that none of those 3 jurors identify as "white." Carmelo's Dad RE-ASSIGNED them to an ethnic/racial background that supported his argument . I know you're as shocked as I that Carmelo's Dad lied, i.e., I'm not shocked at all. You? * (I realize that India is in Asia, but that's how Breitbart described the jury.) Posted by: mnw at June 12, 2026 10:19 PM (RCjYY) Posted by: mikeski at June 12, 2026 10:19 PM (VHUov) 58

I spent too much time, love, and money on all of those to have them go to someone who apparently doesn't possess the sentimentality gene. Okay, Horde, Ol' Robbo is going to try this staying up late thing, at least until my extra glass of wine runs out.
Back in HS, I was a Latin Nerd and participated in our local, regional, state, and national competitions. In one of them, I was talked into submitting an entry for the art competition. I did a sketch of the Greek fleet on its way to Troy. I got dinged because the experts, while appreciating my compositional talent, balked at my renditions of masted and sailed ships. Said they were historickally inaccurate. Feh. I spent the rest of the competition trying to pick up hot, nerdy chicks, of whom there were not a few. McKinney isn't exactly a bastion of black people. On a completely different note, picked up an Orbea Hermanos revolver today. Exquisite, Smith and Wesson clone in .32 long. Previous owner even put S&W grips on it for me.
Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd FWIW I have an Orbea in 8mm Lebel and two Euskaro revolvers built by Trocaola Aranzabal y Cia (who took up the Euskaro patent after Orbea Hermanos renounced it). One in .44 Russian, the Spanish service revolver round, and the other in .455 made for the British in WWI. Check your Orbea in .32 Long since the French ordered a metric buttload of those in 8mm Lebel revolver and Orbea was pretty negligent in labeling them. Mine I bought in .32 long that is actually an 8mm Lebel. Wolff Gunsprings has replacement springs if you find your Spanish springs are brittle by the way. The Spanish revolvers are a lot of fun. They simplified the S&W design, and handfitted everything so they need a competent gunsmith, but no one understands the cartridge designation and there is a lot of fear of the soft steel. Soccer only gets exciting when the fans riot. Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia Hockey is nowhere near as low-scoring as soccer, though. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon There are three kinds of spectator sports. Slow plodding affairs where you can discuss the strategy for 90% of the playing time and not miss anything that happens. MLB and NFL. Exciting run-and-gun contests where you can't take your eyes off the game. NHL, and NBA before the last two minutes. I'm certainly not Mr. Finance, and I generally like Musk as he seems to be one of the very few moneyed elite that isn't solely obsessed with getting more money and forcing people to do what he wants, but I don't really get why he keeps getting richer and richer. Seems like most of what he does are the sorts of things where you break even if you are lucky. He's not building Model Ts or running the world's biggest online store or even collecting data for the government. He makes tunnels, builds a niche car, and runs an internet provider service while developing rockets. I don't get it.

Why does everyone want to escape jury duty? American justice needs you. Posted by: Blonde Morticia at June 13, 2026 12:18 AM (n7rxJ) It's a pain to find parking in downtown Sandy Eggo (and that parking is expensive--some at $10/hr), so I have to take the f'n bus. I'm stuck in a room for at least half the day, waiting to be picked or sent home. When I don't get jury duty, I don't even get a tiny bit of compensation. Only those chosen for jury duty do, so all expenses are out-of-pocket for the day. Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at June 13, 2026 01:16 AM (l3cgK) 336

From Witchy-Paedia:
"In 2005, Shalit gave a negative review to the film Brokeback Mountain, in which he described Jack Twist (the character played by Jake Gyllenhaal) as a "sexual predator" who "tracks Ennis (Heath Ledger)'s character) down and coaxes him into sporadic trysts".[23] The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) stated that Shalit's "baseless branding of Jack as a 'sexual predator' merely because he was romantically interested in someone of the same sex is defamatory, ignorant, and irresponsible" and that he "used the occasion to promote defamatory antigay prejudice to a national audience".[24] Shalit's son Peter, who is gay, wrote a letter to GLAAD defending his father and stating he had not defamed anyone and was not homophobic, and further said the organization had defamed him by "falsely accusing him of a repellent form of bigotry".[25] Shalit himself apologized for the wording of his review.[26][27][28] Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at June 13, 2026 01:22 AM (l3cgK) 343

Fuck the World Cup.
Soccer. A game where 1-nil is considered a blowout of epic proportions. A game where every single score is treated like the walk off grand slam in extra innings of Game 7 of the World Series. In fact, they stop the games for about six hours when a goal is scored so they can interview everyone in the scoring team, have press conferences, etc. It’s also a game where YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KNOW WHEN THE GAME WILL END. The ONLY people allowed to know how much time has elapsed in the game are the officials on the field. If you are at the game and keeping track of the time, especially stoppage time, you will be severely punished. The officials will tell you when to stop playing, and it’s it and that’s that. Get your orange slices at the end. Posted by: Cow Demon at June 13, 2026 01:45 AM (gfO9L) 364

A legal filing submitted this week on behalf of Hunter Biden argues that the son of former President Joe Biden "cannot afford" to pay his outstanding legal fees. It comes after Hunter Biden himself claimed last year he was in $17 million of debt.
The paperwork, submitted by attorney Barry Coburn on April 6, also claimed that "Mr. Biden lives abroad," though Coburn did not specify where. Biden was pictured in South Africa with his wife last year." Yeah, no. He's not living in South Africa. That places hates whitey more than Hunter doesn't do Yellow. 8h History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet. Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years. And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor. You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit. ---- He forgot renting out his unused stuff for a couple of Billion Dollars$ a month. To his Competitors. Elon Musk is every socialist's worst nightmare, because you cannot redistribute wealth that was not created; and his wealth would not have been created without the incentive structure of the market economy, because people are not fungible and motivation matters.
It is laughable to imagine any of his critics trying to run even one of his companies. They would crash and burn in weeks. They couldn't even maintain what he has created, let alone build it themselves. They are truly bugmen, with no comprehension of how people work. Most people couldn't even have imagined what he has created. Yes, but she missed out on the sequel... left out the most important part, how the uber-epstein class eventually become the gov't (like theTransformer infiltrators becoming the operating system), who eventually profit of the demise, to buy real assets for pennies on the dollar while fomenting the very crises they claim to be fitting with your labor and monetary resources. They know the pendulum swings... they are the ones pushing it... as the crushed billions suffer and die for a cause they neither chose, nor was aware of, nor signed up for. viz/Palantir, the power to co-opt, the power to Corrupt, the power to CONTROL:: proud sponsor of the future MadMax:LordHumongous', the future Dementis', and ImortanJOE's who will wipe out any sovereign 'gultch' for the thrill to demonstrate that they can https://tinyurl.com/LIBs-WhatPriceTheirVision ATLAS SHRUGGED UPDATED FOR THE CRISIS Posted by: MANFRED the Heat Seeking OBOE at June 13, 2026 09:58 AM (v2Nbw) 412
