Very cute but apparently prairie dogs as are difficult pets.
Captive prairie dogs have teeth that grow continuously, meaning they will chew through baseboards, furniture, and electrical wires if left unsupervised. They require hours of daily interaction. If ignored, they can become deeply depressed or aggressive. The have extreme vocalizations - alerting Yips, etc. Worse than cats. 😉 jk Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at June 04, 2026 08:11 PM (NFX2v) 49

No, individually. The name is Daniel Moraff, and while an "engineering student" at Brown, he wrote this piece for Vulture magazine entitled "My Heroes, Daydreamt". It is supposed to be humor, they say. It's available online, but behind a paywall. About Eleanor he wrote, "It's midnight and UN temporary HQ on Long Island. Eleanor and I are at last alone, straining to develop some sort of framework for a world that has flung itself to pieces. June 4, 1942 is a day in Marine Corp aviation history as VMF-211 with a mix of F2A Buffalos and F4F Wildcats vainly and valiantly tried to defend Midway from an aerial attack by the Imperial Japanese Navy.
June 4, 2026 is another historic day in Marine Corps aviation. This marks the ceremonial end of AV-8 Harrier operations as VMF-223 also starts to stand down. In the following months the squadron's remaining AV-8B Harrier II Plus aircraft will be ferried museums or to storage in the desert. And then the unit itself will be deactivated in September. Meanwhile, the California elections are complete shitshow, and whatever residual opposition to the SAVE Act there was in the general public is melting down due to the transparent stupidity and corruption on display. A global embarrassment. But still, no vote. No, the SAVE Act can't be approved before the election because that will lower intensity among marginal voters, who are now epic pissed. Murky's argument was that Natives in the villages don't have ID's. Of course, they have them when they access the free healthcare at the Native hospitals and clinics, or get on airplanes, but not when they vote.

No blacks on the Karmelo Anthony jury. Prosecutor's strikes of 3 black veniremen overcame Batson challenges, because he/she gave a satisfactory race neutral reason for these strikes, the trial judge ruled.
Opening statements tomorrow. Hi, Salty. Posted by: mnw at June 04, 2026 09:23 PM (RCjYY) Good news. If black citizens cannot be trusted to judge a case on its merits alone, they have no place on a jury. The black jury pool has been poisoned by BLM. The reigning ideology that controls all institutions in my country tells me that I’m supposed to believe we’re all just Americans who want the same thing. But that is so obviously a lie that it doesn’t even merit refutation any longer. Reality itself refutes it. There is no lofty cosmopolitan rhetoric that can ever pull the wool over people’s eyes forever. No amount of liberal proceduralism or woke moralizing is ever going to convince people to ignore what they see and hear with their own eyes and ears. This man is not “my fellow American” and we do not have any shared interests whatsoever. We occupy the same landmass. That’s it. And geography alone does not hold a nation together for long. --- @AbeTheShinzo - 6h WATCH: Karmelo Anthony supporter threatens my life at the trial. “We kill crackas!” “I like the smell of burning flesh!” “We’re gonna do some Nat Turner shit on you” https://tinyurl.com/yc7kj6uw Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at June 04, 2026 09:37 PM (ZwdAr) 207

There is no way to reasonably catch AI fakes anymore. That train sailed a year ago probably. Legs, fingers, arms, shadows, morphing shit, whatever, who gives a fuck - it's way too much fucking work for a video meant to pass 8 seconds and spurt some dopamine into your hypothalamus. It's weird watching the internet, as unreliable as it always was, as part of a world that was already beyond producing much of anything real, "transition" into a place of total in your face fakery.
Eventually it will be impossible to know whether what you're looking at, no matter how small (like a word), was produced in any way by a human. It is a strange time. Posted by: ... at June 04, 2026 09:39 PM (vE0+H) 209
I watched Airport on TCM last night.
Helen Hayes was adorable. And Jacqueline Bisset was hubba hubba. Posted by: Bulg at June 04 ---- I recorded it and watched it today. The 1970 land whales were a scream, but I noticed the passenger fashions were still groovy haute 60's. I know I saw this as a kid in the theater (I remember Jacqueline B.'s stewardess getting shards in her eye from the explosion), but remember almost nothing; i recall almost all of the MAD Magazine parody though! I do remember that it was held responsible for the wave of disaster flicks that followed, but to me it was a very solid movie. We really need a "None of the Above" option in elections. If it wins, there's a new vote - but no one who registered as a candidate for that position can appear on the new ballot.

The statistical impossibility of the vote drops is a feature not a bug. They already know who is going to win. The point is to rub it in our faces, so we learn it's a waste of time, money, and effort to challenge their power again. Posted by: Ted Torgerson at June 04, 2026 10:00 PM (R86kT) 227

Not having X I can only see the last three cutie videos on the cafe now. This started a month ago.
In my rampaging today, chronic fatigue and stress for six weeks of stuff happening to see if I crack (I don't), I forgot to mention my SIL's new puppy. She raises these pups to be lapdogs and rather neurotic ones that bark a lot (and bite). Why, living on a farm with a lake, they don't get a rescue or a lab I do not know. She wants this exotic breed who looks like a racoon to me. This was from photos of her carrying the dog in a pouch thing. Which made us all laugh. Well. The dog is now in training somewhere out of state. I guess in two weeks the 8wk old pup went loco with her and caused fights and angst. She had a trainer come out and observe the dog and agreed he was a bit much (bit part of a brick off of something). My DIL found an 18 page manual near the dog toys and took a photo. Son and I of course laughed as the large print is the breeder advice (wacko) and the small print is SIL's. We have not met the dog yet and hope the training is going well til the end of the month. If it were not for my insane husband and sons (and DIL's that I love) I would be in an asylum. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at June 04, 2026 10:01 PM (WONhk) 229
