Judge Clears Way for Trump to Tighten Verification for Mail-In Votes; Scott Bessent Touts New IRS Rules to Identify Antifa's Funders; OMB Director Russ Vought Acts to Make Sure That Federal Grants Go to US Citizens Not Foreigners and Illegal Aliens

A lot of #Winning.

Democrats actually opposed Trump's rules to tighten verification of mail-in votes by saying that if voter names were checked against lists of US citizens, Democrat voters would be barred from voting.

Yes. Yes they will.

That is the point. Your llegal alien hordes are not allowed to vote and they should be disqualified from voting.

But hey, you say this Never Ever Happens, so this should have no effect on Democrat vote totals.

Right?

The Democrats pretended they were worried about "inaccurate" citizenship lists but we all know they're terrified of accurate ones.

Besides, the judge ruled: Every single federal requirement is subject to some error in implementation but we don't rule them all unconstitutional, given that people have the right to appeal and have errors corrected.

Duh.

A federal judge on Thursday cleared the way for President Donald Trump to implement his executive order tightening mail-in voting, slapping down Democrats' arguments for now that federal efforts to police voter rolls with citizenship checks was illegal.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointed jurist, ruled that Democrats failed to show they have standing at present to challenge the order or have suffered any harm that would warrant a preliminary injunction.

You'll love this: He ruled the Democrats had no standing to challenge the rules. They could establish no "harm" to themselves.

Nichols rejected several of the Democrats' arguments that Trump's executive order could disenfranchise millions of voters, including that creating state-by-state citizenship lists to check voter rolls would somehow be harmful, even if they were inaccurate.

...

The judge also rejected the notion that the federal government sending information to the states about voters would somehow violate voters' privacy.

"Plaintiffs fail to demonstrate that such action--that is, the sharing of name, age, and residence information between and among government agencies, if already known to the federal government--would cause a harm sufficient to establish Article III standing," he ruled.

Bessent says the IRS will track donations to the terrorist group Antifa.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday highlighted changes to IRS reporting policy that would help the federal government identify the funding sources for Antifa.

The organization has faced considerable scrutiny in recent years amid its repeated civil disturbances and involvement in anti-law enforcement activities. Speaking from the White House, Bessent pointed to a change in policy that would require non-profits to identify their grant recipients.

The grant-subgrant system is set up to disguise Democrat money-laundering. Terrorists have members called "cleanskins" -- terrorists who have no known criminal record or association with terrorists. These "clean skins" are used to infiltrate organizations and pull levers in favor of terrorists.

(Note a "cleanskin" can also refer to an undercover cop who has no publicly-known association with cops, so he can be infiltrated into a criminal group.)

Likewise, Democrats have "cleanskin" NGOs that they can pour US taxpayer money into. And then these "clean" NGOs donate to dirty NGOs and straight up terrorist organizations -- or Chinese covid labs adding furin cleavage sites to viruses.

The Grantee/Subgrantee system is designed precisely so that Democrats can divert taxpayer money to illegal/antiamerican/pure Democrat pillager groups. They money is given to the "clean skin" NGOs, who then immediately send the money off to where it was always intended to go, the "dirty skin" groups.

Unbelievably, there was no citizenship requirement for receiving US federal grants.

Now there is:

83 I guess next week is the last week of the SCOTUS term? I think that's right.

Anyway, we have the birthright citizenship, firing the Fed, and the ballot counting cases as the remaining big ones.

I've not seen any of the usual "this Justice has yet to write an opinion" stuff.

I'm pretty sure they'll say ballots have to be received by Election Day. I don't think they'll order they have to be all counted by midnight, though.

And, everyone says they'll keep the birthright citizenship and Fed independence.

But this Court has become increasingly "we have to follow what the law and Constitution says precisely, not what we wish it to say or want it to say--even in the face of decades of rulings otherwise."

It's just my feel of the general trend of the Court.
I'm saying limited to full wins for us on those as well.

Okay sunset at NYC will be at 8:18 PM EDT. And today gets the "half-sun" Manhattanhenge effect. A little before then, they should see about half the disc of the sun above the horizon line up nicely with the "E-W" (about ~30 degree off) streets.

If there's any Morons there, that would be a cool thing to see. Tomorrow gives the full sun alignment, the whole disc of the sun right above the horizon looking down the streets.

So creating aliens.gov is entirely them. Now, I'm sure it costs some taxpayer dollars somehow to do something, but I doubt it amounts too much. A fence will work. Two fences actually, guarded in between by Pit-Bulls with AIDS.

Before they started deploying thousands and thousands of troops to the other side of the planet in undeclared wars, the chief duty of the Army was … wait for it … Patrolling the southern border.

What’s interesting a lot of people believe using the Army for securing the border is somehow illegal. Just what the fuck do you think the Army is for?

173 I think they changed around the same time we weren't allowed to put two spaces after the period anymore.

174 106 Yeah, the words are still there, but when I go to look for the exact right word- it's just not. I know I know the perfect word, but it is like a empty spot on a dusty shelf- the imprint is there, but there's no jar.

It comes and goes. And then 20 mins later, you smack your head and call yourself a dumb ass. Spirit of the Staircase.

I use WordWeb, mostly to check spelling, but also when my word-grabber is failing to pull a word I know I know. It has three neat features, even in the free version:

https://wordweb.info/free/

* As a light stand-alone app, you can use it from any program, without having to open a browser (or switch away from the tab you're on). Just highlight a word, and ctrl-alt-w or ctrl-right-click.

* In addition to the built-in offline dictionary/thesaurus, it has tabs for Wikipedia (which I never use) and Wiktionary (which I use all the time).

* Further, they recently added an actually useful "AI Suggestions" feature for fuzzy matches, like when XTC introduced the term 'wignat'. It gave the accurate, politically-incorrect meaning.

Yes, I do love that.

177 He ruled the Democrats had no standing to challenge the rules. They could establish no "harm" to themselves.

They *could* establish that, but they'd have to admit to a lot of illegal shit. LO-effin-L!
