I’m gonna try to be fair. It was a stupid idea to throw that fund into the mix at this point. The senate was ready to push a vote on the bill.
A bit of scrutiny on that fund would be good. In fact it’s the senate doing the job we asked them to do. Yet into the mix we throw a huge money pot with no published rules or guidelines for access. And we all know how well that goes when the government throws a find out there without some understanding of how it will be spent. Nobody in the senate understood the fund. The Republicans, specifically the GOPe, still think that once Trump is gone they'll go back to the good old days of the uniparty . They'll work with their good friends across the aisle to get their cuts of everything they do.
Wrong. Your good friends are dying out or being pushed out by Marxists who want you and your families dead. Your only hope is try and cut the size of government along with Trump. That and hope the Dems immolate themselves Posted by: Smell the Glove at May 21, 2026 05:40 PM (gu0hJ) 17

I plan a nap on the plane, and am not eating the breakfast they offer as that's the last thing I need to start a trip. I am also behind in productivity. Even more behind than normal procrastination. My husband has said it does not matter so I will do the best I can. It used to be when I went out of town the house was super clean in the event the plane crashed and my MIL had to help clean out our stuff. Now she's dead and I am slacking, but still like to come home to a clean house. Full of woe and the wrong day. Behind in gardening for two weeks. Note this would be space-only. You couldn't use that to get out of earth's gravity well. With exhaust velocities at 10% c, it would be like setting a tactical nuke at the launch pad. Actually, a continuous nuke. It would blow up everything, including the rocket, real good. And even in space, you wouldn't want to be looking up the ass end of that thing. I am unclear why this needed to be forced through now and included in this package. Go away for a month. Develop rules and guidelines. At least allow the AAG the time to develop a response to the questions. Trump had everything he wanted in the bill that was going to be passed. Take that big win. Move to the next. The constant 1g thrust trajectory is very passenger friendly. You've got earth gravity the whole time (until the midway turning point, where you have to shut off, turn around, and then decelerate at 1g). Makes things like space-toilets no problem (but have to be careful at that turning point). The other little engineering and materials problem is on the journeys to the outer planets, like Uranus, your peak speed in between is going to get a bit high. Space dust and little particles are going to be problem colliding with you. Charged particles would be no problem. You've got a big ass EM field for your "pusher plate", so you can make your own magnetic shield. It's the neutral dust that would be a problem. I guess we have to just vote harder. Then they will listen! I love how our vote means absolutely nothing.

What Trump could do is call the Senate back in session. But I doubt that's gonna happen. I also doubt that the ba$tards would come back to DC even if he did.
Posted by: IrishEi ?! at May 21, 2026 06:14 PM (3ImbR) ************************ He's a bit busy with the ghey eye-a-tolja now, but once he finishes with Iran they are going to be in big time trouble. Twits. Nothing but a bunch of overpaid dummy nincompoops. Term limits. Twice for Senate. Thrice for Congress. It could be that I need to rinse the water for my corms I am soaking, but the thought of Thune annoys me. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at May 21, 2026 06:18 PM (WONhk) 166
Imagine putting your future and the well-being of America on the line for John Cornyn. Who does that?

Power corrupts, and absolute power turns you into a preening little sissy-boy who will throw a temper tantrum and damage the nation because the mean girl didn't send you a valentine.

OT: I've found that there has been an explosion of DnD and Warhammer figures and vehicles on 3D print model sites.
Has Games Workshop become less litigious? For a while they were just as bad as The Eagles and the estates of Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye in suing the sh*t out of people who posted anything even remotely derivative. Posted by: Thomas Bender at May 21, 2026 06:19 PM (XV/Pl) 169

Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at May 21, 2026 06:18 PM (WONhk) Couldn't agree with this more. Unfortunately, these buffoons have to vote for it and the grift is too delicious. Posted by: DJ at May 21, 2026 06:21 PM (uosPt) 172
I can't believe I used to tell one guy who kept calling that I had to wash my hair. Poor dude. It did not help that my father gave him a nickname and would yell it up the stairs that he was on the phone. My life has been nothing but trauma.
Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at May 21, 2026 06:15 PM (WONhk) -------------- It's so funny how our psyches are formed (mine was an abusive & traumatic childhood). I had zero self-esteem and -- though a top student & athlete -- thought & felt like I was stupid & ugly. I was flabbergasted when girls showed interest in me, and my first girlfriend (@ 19!) virtually had to rape me owing to my being terrified of sex. I prefer figures with heft, like the fake stone or metal infused resin ones. Posted by: Chairman LMAO at May 21, 2026 06:21 PM (cWLG3) Processing 0.03, elapsed 0.0339 seconds. |
