You don't need an autopsy to know why the Democrats lost in 2024. No one does.
The Democrats know as well. The problem is, they are beholden to their extreme left wing, and they're beholden to the extreme left wing because the extreme left wing in the majority of the Democrat Party. It was never true that "gender affirming" "medicine" improves mental health or well-being. And on top that: The politics of it are horrible. It's a 20-80 issue. But the Democrats cannot admit this because the 20% that is gonzo for gay and transgender extremism is the core of the activist class. Likewise, the Democrats know that Obama's and then Biden's open border policy is absolutely toxic political poison. It's another 20-80 issue. The combination of the Caspian Sea and railroads to Pakistan represent roughly 1% of the trading capacity from the Persian and Oman Gulfs. And the oil rich country has no refining capabilities.
They don't produce nearly enough food to feed themselves (nearly a quarter of their imports are food), and they're losing $450 million a day in lost trade.
We're dealing with Biden era gas prices.

Duggan ran as an independent for governor.

I have no idea what the fishing is like around there maybe not that good. I always got a kick about florida, because I have caught fish and boated straight to the wholesaler's dock and sold it. Once she does, they're going to be brutal, and it's not going to matter. Black Dems won't fall away, she'll win SC by 50 points, and then the party is going to have to tell black women that their preferred candidate, as expressed in an actual election, is not worth it and they need to step aside for Newsom or whomever.

That seems about right, but add in all the Japanese tourists and the significant portion of natives who are hidden in labor jobs, and you'll have my experience.

The natives are barely noticeable. The only place you really see them is working as laborers in stores. They are like the Hawaiian version of the Mexican laborers you see in mainland cities.

There’s a soul food place about two miles away that cooks them just right.

Think of how Trump was the only one to shit on W in 2016. W was unpopular and an anchor so bad that he kept quiet in the 2012 election to not drag down Mitt Romney, but no one would say that he had fucked up Iraq or with amnesty.
Then Trump does it.
Obama's not quite the same, but the ideological capture the Dems are facing is all his fault. To break it, they have to break with Obama, and who could do that? Not any governor or senator. They'd get shut out of media in a heartbeat.
It'd take...another Trump. A billionaire with the kind of money to break through media blackouts and keep his message going.
No leftist billionaire would do it though. They all agree with Obama.
So, the left is fucked for the time being, hoping their cheat machine works again.

I seem to recall that Obama went to HI a few times in Trump’s first term to oversee construction of a home there which just happened to coincide with the Hawaiian judge ruling against Trump on something.
But now that you mention that, I haven’t heard much about an Obama home there in years.

They raised the house to the ground, and rebuilt. It wasn't ready until 2025. The paid 8 million. And spent 10 million building.

For 80 years the USN enforced every blockade the Europeans wanted, and by putting the bite on Iran, (for a while Iraq), and Venezuela the USN made sure that China, India and the Euros could buy sanctioned oil at below market price off the "shadow fleet" no one seemed to be able to find.
Now, with IRGC determining that the Straits are closed, and with the USN enforcing that, China and the Euros are paying market price and are quite unhappy about it.
So they are trying to figure out how to either make a deal or force Iran into making a deal.
Aaaand the IRGC generals get paid off of shipments of embargoed oil, and they are currently dipping into their savings to keep things running at home.
It may fall apart, but the moment we invade, the whole playhouse get kicked apart and Trump can't control that near as much.
