Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Trump Is Booting Illegal Aliens Out of Taxpayer-Funded Welfare Housing and I Am Here For ItThomas Massie, Illegal Alien Simp and Friend of Illegal-Hiring Businesses, is sad. His pinecone is droopy. Home prices are squeezing American family budgets. The median home price is up 60% since 2019, now five times the median household income. The country is short more than 4 million homes, and a record 22.6 million renter households are spending more than 30% of their income on rent. Housing costs have risen another 14% in just the last two years. While Americans are fighting for a place to call home, a recent Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Homeland Security investigation revealed major eligibility errors in HUD housing programs. HUD found nearly 6,000 confirmed ineligible tenants, and another 200,000 more tenants who have gone through zero eligibility verification. In addition, HUD identified 25,000 deceased tenants still living in taxpayer-funded housing units. These aren't likely empty units. Someone is wrongly receiving this benefit. You'll be shocked to hear this, but Congress passed laws to restrict public housing to US citizens, but were conning the rubes as usual. On paper, illegal aliens weren't allowed. In reality -- no one bothered checking, so illegal aliens were allowed. But the rubes didn't know so the rubes couldn't complain. Federal law is clear: Section 214 of the Housing and Community Development Act limits HUD housing assistance to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. In addition, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 prohibits public welfare benefits from going to illegal aliens and requires HUD housing programs to verify immigration status at the point of application, now a nearly instantaneous process through the SAVE program. Yet HUD rules have systematically avoided this verification until now. Instead of using the existing Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, HUD created two workarounds. The first is the "do not contend" provision, under which a tenant declares they do not contend their non-citizen status and receives prorated assistance anyway. This is blatantly illegal. The second workaround is an age exemption HUD fabricated 15 years ago under the Obama administration. Current regulations exempt anyone 62 or older from verification, but this has no basis in federal law. It turns out, in contrast to federal law, the federal government has been incentivizing illegal immigration by offering taxpayer-subsidized housing along with other welfare programs by not using any verification to ensure benefits are going to only eligible individuals. Hundreds of thousands of tenants, including able-bodied adults, have spent years, even decades, in federally subsidized units still needing eligibility checks. This is exactly what has been prohibited for 30 years, and it's part of what's driving up housing prices today.Read the whole thing. Trump is sending the illegals back home and limiting illegals' access to loans and banking services. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing banks to more aggressively scrutinize illegal immigrants, closing a fiscal fence around American taxpayer interests and resources, and likely further incentivizing self-deportations. "80% of voters believe that illegal immigration is bad for America, and by the way, the flip side of it is 80% believe that legal immigration is good for America," veteran pollster Scott Rasmussen told Just The News. Trump's Tuesday order, titled "Restoring Integrity to America's Financial System", directs federal regulators and the Treasury to issue guidance strengthening banks' customer due diligence, identify red flags/suspicious activity linked to undocumented immigrants (such as Individual Taxpayer Identification Number misuse, payroll tax evasion, or off-the-books wages), and manage credit risks from extending loans or services to non-work-authorized individuals who may face deportation or wage loss. ... On limiting illegal immigrants' access to banking and financial products, the administration's stated goal is to reduce risks to the banking system -- such as people getting deported and then defaulting on loans or credit cards. Banks are now encouraged by the Trump administration to be more careful with loans and services to those without work authorization, but the order does not require them to check every customer's citizenship status.Meanwhile, the DOJ just hired 80 new immigration judges to speed up the pace of deportations. "The Trump administration is committed to reestablishing an immigration judge corps that is dedicated to restoring the rule to the law in our nation's immigration system," acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. "Today, we are onboarding the largest immigration judge class in agency history. This could only happen thanks to President Trump's decisive leadership and commitment to securing our borders. I also applaud EOIR's leadership team for helping facilitate these hiring efforts and recruiting highly qualified and talented personnel in record time." Trump campaigned on a promise of mass deportations, but has faced considerable legal pushback to his efforts to speedily remove large numbers of people from the country. The DHS has estimated that as many as 22 million illegal aliens were in the country when Trump took office.Hello everyone! Happy Thursday. Are you ready for the three day weekend? "Immigration judges" aren't judges,. They are DOJ employees tasked with judicial duties in minor matters.such as immigration hearings. The "SAVE Act" would then not be a real Act, but a placeholder to cover laws we aren't enforcing, such that if "SAVE" is seen to fail, enforcement of our existent laws can then go to court where they'll fail.

The decisions of immigration "judges" are appealable to District Court judges, too. Posted by: mnw at May 21, 2026 12:49 PM (RCjYY) ===== No, they're not. The acts that created the administrative positions of immigration judge are explicit in saying that Article III judges have no jurisdiction. What defendants can try is habeus petitions, but the administration jets almost every deportee to the 5th Circuit as soon as they're picked up. The 5th denies 95% of all habeus petitions (which are expensive to file and argue, by the way), and they get deported after having dropped $10,000 on a lawyer. What’s necessary is not a new law or more legislation. We’ve got plenty of laws that cover most if not all scenarios.
The problem of course, all the laws in the world are meaningless without elected officials willing to enforce the laws. Leftists know this, and set about to infiltrate positions of responsibility and refuse to enforce the law, instead treating everything like a Smorgasbord, “I like this law, but I don’t like that one”. Debt can be good or bad, depending on how you use it.
If you don't have a clear plan to get something positive out of it, which is very common, then yes you should avoid it like the plague. Having an old car, an old phone, etc are better then having debt. But if a new car can get you to a higher paying job for example, it is likely worth taking a loan. How much of this is due to supply and demand, demand up due to illegals competing with citizens for available housing?
——- Wages have been stagnant since 1974. This is not due entirely to millions of illegal aliens but it is certainly a crucial component. A single blue collar wage earner could support his family. Maybe not in high style, but he wasn’t taking any government “benefits” and all that nonsense. The “media” and public education has left recent generations almost wholly unable to make cause and effect type comparisons. They advocate for “open borders” yet complain they only make $16 an hour, and can’t afford food, rent, a car, insurance, or anything else. It’s all a mystery to them. == If you tell the WORLD, that if you come illegally to U.S. we will give you free housing, free education and free food and free healthcare . . . what possibly could be the result? If you remove the incentive to come, stay, and create disincentives to be here as an illegal - they will not come and those already here will leave. But that would cost the dems voters and the chamber of commerce cheap labor. Yes. Its that stupid. The answer is obvious, however, the powers that be, have a massive incentive to not apply the answer. Because they want it the way it is. Under current federal law, hundreds of thousands of foreign students and employers participating in the Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension program are exempt from paying Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes, which companies are required to pay for domestic workers. This has led to the creation of a "significant financial incentive" for employers to hire foreign OPT workers over Americans.

I live in Japan, and I can say that NO recipes for products are changed here to make product cheaper. They have shrinkflation, and some things (like kwepie dressing and mayo) have cheaper versions for restaurants (in 1L containers) but I see exactly zero changes in products like in USA where sugars and fats are all replaced with chemicals, and chocolate, nuts, etc. are reduced.
The only thing I see are a lot of "sports" drinks with 1/2 and 1/2 sugar and some other shit that you can taste in your mouth all day. But these are new products and not the old ones, which never change. This has two reasons. (1) more family owned companies (2) the consumers are all Japanese and not 3rd worlders imported to take tax dollars and buy shit and ruin the towns and schools. Thanks in part to entities such as Blackrock that are buying tranches of neighborhood homes and locking them in. They are ruining the market and neighborhoods at the same time. I think the loan rates deserve a lot of the blame. My current rate is 3%. If I were to move to a new house that costs exactly the same as mine, I'd be paying quite a bit more per month because I'd have a 6.5% rate. It doesn't make any sense for me to move. Brave AI summary,
Approximately 9% to 10% of U.S. single-family homes are owned by corporate entities or institutional investors as of 2026. Overall Ownership: Research from the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and other sources indicates that corporations own roughly 8.9% to 10% of residential parcels or single-family homes nationwide. Institutional Share: Large institutional investors (often defined as those owning 1,000+ properties) control a smaller fraction, estimated at 2% to 3.8% of the total single-family rental stock. Market Concentration: Ownership is heavily concentrated in specific regions; in cities like St. Louis, Baltimore, and Miami, corporate ownership can exceed 20%, while in the Sun Belt, out-of-state corporate buyers are particularly active. Investor vs. Corporate: While total investor ownership (including small "mom-and-pop" landlords) is higher at 20%, large corporations represent only a minority share of these investor-owned properties, with small investors holding the vast majority. Posted by: bonhomme at May 21, 2026 01:38 PM (mkw2N) Good grief. My mortgage was 8% and I got it paid off early. Mortgage rates have been way too low for way too long. Posted by: Dr. Pork Chops & Bacons at May 21, 2026 01:55 PM (g8Ew8) 362
The left is going to shriek that "Trump is cutting housing programs" and pretend that this means he is throwing Americans out of their homes. Kind of like when they complained that "Trump is cutting Medicare" when the cuts were all reducing fraud by dis-enrolling dead or imaginary people.

I expect Somalia to be putting up luxurious new homes and farming, industry and infrastructure and so forth, yes?
Posted by: Aetius451AD at May 21, 2026 12:38 PM (bss/y) For the fortunate folks who actually get some largish cut of the money, yes. Not everyone in Somalia lives like a rat in a warren. Ilhan's home would probably have looked more like Al Gore's place than like a tribal hut. Posted by: GWB at May 21, 2026 01:57 PM (kU0PQ) 364

Like maybe a record high since you started paying attention to mortgage rates. But historically speaking 6% is pretty damn low. Posted by: Heroq at May 21, 2026 01:57 PM (9Diqw) 365

I realize this is not the point, but I love the pinecone word now for male nethers.
I don't need to know why he called it this, however I find it hilarious. Saw his little speech and his ego was shining from the moonglow of his wife. He wants to run for president. Droppy Pinecone for Prez! I am thankful for all President Trump does for our country. In 1000 ways a day or more his great mind is thinking and doing. Unlike any other president in my lifetime. Thanks for all you do as well here, Mr. Ace. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at May 21, 2026 02:38 PM (WONhk) Processing 0.06, elapsed 0.064 seconds. |
