usually its just lazyness, or you don't feel like rebranding when you are tight on money like most franchises who move in desperation.

Overpasses act like a wind tunnel underneath by restricting air flow, just like tall buildings downtown do on the street level. Channels the wind rather than blocks it.

The recommendation is lying in a ditch curled up to protect your head if you are caught out in the open during a tornado or staying in the vehicle as you have some protection there.

The most frightened I have ever been behind the wheel was when I turned east on a major regional travel artery early in the morning. I was instantly blinded by the Sun. Couldn't see a thing. Fortunately, it was close to my house, so I knew that I could turn off at the next intersection. But, for a few seconds, I didn't know what the hell was going on, or what anybody else was doing around me.
