Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Coconut Kamala Harris Endorses Communist Revolutionary and Epic Incompetent Karen Bass for LA Mayor; Claims Bass Has Reduced Crime and HomelessnessWhat? Did you say she reduced crime and homelessness? This is the same nonsense they claimed with Biden. Crime exploded under Biden, but it cannot remain at all-time record levels year after year, so some years it will "decline," but from a historically elevated high, to another historically elevated high (but not a record high). And then they said: Biden reduced crime, bigots. Look it up. DC murders fell 8%. Yes down from historic murder levels not seen since the 80s -- yes, it fell off slightly from that grim bloody pace. And so Coconut Kamala now credits Bass with a "two year decline" in homelessness. Which, by the way, is pure bullshit in itself.Bass, a Democrat, is facing a challenge from Spencer Pratt, a Republican reality television star, as well as several other candidates from her own party. Harris announced her support for Bass on Monday. Polls show Bass with less than the required 50 percent support to avoid a runoff, with a significant portion of the electorate remaining undecided, so Harris' endorsement could carry weight among undecided Democrats. Harris praised Bass as the "leader Los Angeles needs right now," touting a decline in homelessness and crime. "Mayor Karen Bass is the leader Los Angeles needs right now. She has done what so many said couldn't be done -- the first ever two-year decline in homelessness, reducing crime to levels this city hasn't seen since the 1960s, and refusing to back down when the federal government came after our neighbors," Harris said in a statement. "She has my full support for re-election."Pratt is climbing in the polls. Adam Carolla said of him something like: "Yes, he's inexperienced, inexperienced at destroying Los Angeles, and I'll pick that inexperience over Karen Bass's tremendous experience at destroying Los Angeles." He's now at 11%, compared to Bass -- the serving mayor, remember -- at 26%. I'm glad Coconut Kamala endorsed Bass because the other alternative is a communist City Council retard named Nithya Raman who routinely blames the widespread theft of catalytic converters on auto companies for deliberately making them "too easy to steal." LA thieves are now drilling into people's gas tanks to steal their gas and I think I read she also blamed auto companies for not armoring their gas tanks. Any excuse she needs to avoiding blaming crime on, erm, criminals. Nithya Raman is at 9%. 40% are undecided. I like Coconut Kamala's endorsement because I want Bass to remain in the race. I fear that if she drops out, the insane communist Nithya Raman will win. I do not believe Bass has much of a chance to win. She is so hopelessly incompetent that even Democrats realize it. An incumbent Democrat who can only attract a quarter of the vote in LA is a disaster, obviously. Pratt claims that when you run as a "Democratic Socialist," as the retarded communist Nithya Raman is doing, you are required to sign a kind of loyalty oath "contract" with the DSA promising to "co-govern" with the DSA itself. Below, some ads from the former reality TV star. I don't believe the last ad is his, just an AI thing a supporter cooked up.
Bonus: California has effectively shut down its own oil production, despite being, theoretically, an oil-rich state. And now they're receiving their last shipment of Persian Gulf oil. The last California-bound oil tanker to pass through the Strait of Hormuz since war erupted is at the Port of Long Beach offloading its valuable cargo -- 2 million barrels of crude destined to be transformed into gasoline, jet fuel and diesel. The New Corolla loaded up in Iraq on Feb. 24 -- just days before U.S. and Israeli forces launched attacks on Iran, plunging the region into turmoil and sparking a double blockade of commercial shipping. In two weeks, the Hong Kong-flagged tanker will have fully unloaded at the Marathon Petroleum terminal and departed again for distant waters. After that, California must figure out how to replace some 200,000 barrels of oil a day that will no longer be arriving from the Persian Gulf. I think it was Gutfeld yesterday highlighting Pratt.
Pratt's really good at social media, he's actually a victim of Bass's policies. He has a video where he showed his 'temporary' housing and he went around lifting up the toilet seat. Yeah, if I lived there, I'd probably want to get out of the place and run for mayor too. Posted by: Stateless at May 05, 2026 04:02 PM (Sco7b) 13
Homelessness is still sky-high in LA. Bass is simply doing the same 'trcik' they're doing in SF -- they move the homeless around to new areas, where they can't easily be counted and are less visible. It's the ol' "shell game" -- switch 'em around so you can't tell where they are any more.

Folks, please. Discussions like this are paltry, when compared to one of the most pressing situations in our country today.
President Trump is causing strains in the Obama's marriage. Barack's political activity, necessitated by OrangeManBad, is the culprit! “It does create genuine tension in our household, and it frustrates her. I’m more forgiving of it; I understand why people feel that way.” However, Obama went defends himself from left-wing critics who still claim he’s not doing enough to counter Trump. “No other ex-President was the main surrogate for the Party for four election cycles after they left office." Line of March was founded in 1980 in Oakland, California, by the Communist and political activist Irwin Silber, who considered the Communist Party insufficiently radical for his taste.

I have heard it speculated that the gasoline coming from China and other such places is actually Iranian oil, laundered through small refineries. With the gulf closed, the nearest source of oil for California is Alaska, what little pumping and refining is allowed in CA, and the Gulf of America. Trump has waived the Jones act for 90 days, and may not be able to get that renewed, so there is not enough hulls allowed to transport from US to US ports under the Jones act without that waiver. Watch how money is dispensed through your Congressional representatives to state and community levels. We have groups that are considered drug use enablers doling out our money in communities screaming they want the NP enablers out. 107 Bass and Kamala, Newsome are utter incompetents.
So, as utter incompetents, their only hope to stay in power is to convince the voters that a) the problems are not their fault. b) the problems are not solvable. c) there are "other" problems that require their attention. Like climate change, racism, and transgender bathrooms. Posted by: The Whine Guy at May 05, 2026 04:29 PM (k8xm0) They aren't incompetent in that they are accomplishing exactly what they have set out to do. They are there to loot, pillage, destabilize, disrupt and destroy. And they're doing it rather well. Posted by: Depends on what you're good at at May 05, 2026 04:54 PM (TbWk/) 186

This is the problem, the 40% are all liberals and I fear nothing will wake them up:
-------------- One woman who voted for Bass last election and who said all you have to do is walk the streets to see that things are worse than they were 20 years ago, admitted that "the city has not got the right polices. They’re not working." That's the good news: she seems like someone who will no longer believe Bass when she tells voters not to believe their lying eyes. The bad news? She couldn't tell Savodnik that she definitely won't vote for Bass again this year. She's one of the 40% of voters who, according to a new poll from UCLA, are still undecided about this race. Carl Cannon of RealClearPolitics explains that while Pratt, who is at 11% in the poll, is hoping that Raman and Bass will split the progressive vote, "they could still split and maybe beat him because there are so many liberals in Los Angeles." We export a LOT of oil, don’t we? Do we have enough onshore refinery capacity to even put gasoline production into overdrive for US consumers? Do we have offshore oil contracts that we are bound to uphold or and above domestic obligations? Do current gas prices reflect future speculative producer concerns, that might not transpire?

Posted by: tubal First thing up is to junk the required Clean Air Act specialized fuels. Given all OBD-II cars don't benefit from the fuel blends anymore with modern smog engine computers and catalytic converters, this requirement for boutique fuels that are specific to non attainment areas should be junked. That would allow gasoline to be sold wherever in the US rather than only in specific markets. It would also avoid the seasonal bump and price increases when refineries shifted over to winter blends and back again in summer.
