Trump's Push for Election Integrity Uncovers 34,000 Dead Voters on North Carolina's Rolls

I'd like to know how often the dead have cast votes in North Carolina.

Note these states continually refuse to take the most basic steps to clean their voter rolls -- until forced by lawsuit or federal action.

Why is that?

The North Carolina State Board of Elections identified approximately 34,000 dead people on the state's voter rolls following a comprehensive data comparison with a federal database.

Earlier this month, the NCSBE submitted over 7.3 million voter records to the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database as part of an initiative to strengthen the accuracy and integrity of the state's voter registration list. The NCSBE clarified that the identification of deceased individuals on the state's voter rolls does not necessarily indicate illegal votes were cast.

"While we expected to find some cases, this is higher than we anticipated," Sam Hayes, the executive director of the State Board of Elections, said in a press release.

The discovery came amid the agency's ongoing effort to verify the citizenship status of voters, which the NCSBE voted along party lines earlier this month to do after facing lawsuits from the Trump administration for allegedly failing to maintain an accurate voter list.

The NCSBE said it will work with county boards of elections to remove the names from the voter rolls.

Federal law requires states to remove from their voter rolls people who are ineligible for reasons such as being deceased and North Carolina already has a process of biennial list maintenance to remove ineligible voters from its roles, according to Dr. Andy Jackson, director of the Civitas Center for Public Integrity at the John Locke Foundation, who indicated that the state removed 500,000 ineligible voters through this program in 2025.

However, as Jackson points out for deceased voters, it can take eight to 10 years for their names to be removed.

Government working at typical levels of government efficiency.

...

The Trump administration has also launched a nationwide push to obtain full statewide voter-registration lists and list-maintenance records, suing those states failing to comply. The Justice Department has sued at least 30 states and the District of Columbia to try to force the release of the data, according to the Associated Press.
President Donald Trump standing in the Oval Office at the White House

The Republican National Committee's official election integrity account on X said that the findings in North Carolina "is EXACTLY" why the Trump administration is forcing states to clean up their voter rolls.

"Turns out checking state voter rolls against federal records actually helps keep them more accurate. Who knew?" quipped Frank LaRose, Ohio secretary of state and candidate for Ohio auditor of state.

I can't help noticing that the thing the media assures me can never happen -- at least when a Democrat wins -- seems to be deliberately engineered to happen.

Hello! Happy Friday!

Likely. Especially in the machine states like Illinois, Mass, etc. The thing is the outflow of sane people and the influx of loons might have made the loons the majority by now.

25 Every two years I get an application for an absentee ballot for the guy that owned my house before me.

He's been dead for a while now.

I assume if I return that form I get a ballot with no traceable way to tell it was illegally cast.

And remember the government KNOWS who died and so anyone with access to that database can then send a ballot application to wherever they want. Oh a completely not related note, you notice that whenever someone deep dives on registered voters they always find thousands of voters with addresses matching abandonded buildings?

55 It's an indication that the system is run intentionally poorly. But inaccurate voter rolls are not as big a deal as mail in ballots. In vote by mail states, about 20% of mail in ballots are illegal: either completed and cast by a family member or boy/girlfriend, or cast by people no longer living at that address, or harvested from people who would not vote, such as nursing home patients. All other system integrity issues pale in comparison to mishandled mail in ballots.

84 In vote by mail states, about 20% of mail in ballots are illegal: either completed and cast by a family member or boy/girlfriend, or cast by people no longer living at that address, or harvested from people who would not vote, such as nursing home patients. All other system integrity issues pale in comparison to mishandled mail in ballots.
Posted by: Ted Torgerson

Not quite true, bad registration rolls are imperative for cheat by mail states. What the Dems do is monitor who votes and who hasn't by getting direct feeds for their voter groups and they inject ballots after the polls have closed using those fraudulent voter ids. That is why they want counting to last for days or weeks after the election.

In election tabulation systems, one can pull a voter from the inactive files, activate them, and then cast a ballot in their name and then inactivate them.

It is a new spin on floaters vote cheating. In that system, you have urban Dem machines move paid bums from precinct to precinct to vote again. The Dems use the vast padded election rolls to do the same thing, cast votes in their names. Non existent voters don't protest fraud.

Urban areas are where lawbreaking in general is endemic.

And that particularly includes government and vote counting. So it is easy enough to hire criminals to do the dirty deeds while the elected officials keep their hands clean by plausible deniability.

City (and rural too back then) political machines caused the movement to voter registration and regularization of voting rules around 1900 give or take a decade in most places. And that was because the older system was largely contests between cheaters in the GOP and the Democrat party dueling over who could cheat more.

With computers and a corrupted voter file, we need a new movement to reduce cheating to a minimum including stiff prison sentences for fraudsters.

Every state in the Union requires certification of death be sent to the Departments of Vital Statistics (same with births nowadays). Because states sucked at their job intentionally, Soc Security and retirement programs required direct notification from funeral home directors immediately upon death. But not surprisingly some funeral home directors themselves are not the most scrupulous about notifying the government of deaths and proper reporting.

133 A word about the dead people registered to vote:

It doesn't just stop with someone picking up that identity and voting illegally. When an elderly individual dies, they target the address itself. Then, they have multiple people use that specific address as their resident address. They are able to do this by listing an "apartment #" at that address so it doesn't set off any red flags.

You could end up with multiple registrations at the same address with no one actually living there. They will use the same name as another individual, but change the birthday by one of two days (again to avoid red flags popping up).

Too many Democrats (not a majority of them if polls on SAVE act are reliable) look at cheating as justified on the basis of race, gimmedats, or other nasty notions. And that goes double for their elected officials that are all too aware that their positions depend on continued cheating.

But, cheating risks creating a civil war over voting irregularities especially when one party is identified with most if not all of the cheating. It destroys the system and violates the social compact. Dems wanting nothing but power and wealth taken from others don't care. NH has no sales tax, no income tax. Funding for county, municipality and schools is primarily generated from property taxes. I'd believe it. The notion that a bunch of R voters turn out to re-elect GOPers again and again in primary elections seems absurd.

Yes I know moderate R types. They don't vote in primaries and then complain they wish there were "moderate" candidates to vote for while voting for whoever won the R primary.

The Justice Department has sued at least 30 states and the District of Columbia to try to force the release of the data, according to the Associated Press."

The associate press is lying of course. A better way to phrase this is

"Under Federal law the states are required to maintain accurate voter rolls, and to provide those rolls to the federal government. 30 states have not, and several, refuse, to comply with the law. Hence the federal government has been forced to sue the 30 states to enforce compliance."

It's not a nationwide "push" It is the law. They have not followed the law. Many have said they won't follow the law and refuse to comply. This is a law that says maintain your voter rolls and provide a copy to the federal government.

Loss of incumbancy in safe GOP seats don't matter because of the PVI of the districts on its own.

What matters in House races ends up being national conditions and turnout differentials. Democrats were always going to be advantaged in 2018, but the GOP actively made it worse by making the national environment as bad for the GOP as possible by doing two things: Calling their own standard bearer a traitor and not doing what the Republicans wanted regarding policy.

Arguably, the former is much worse than the latter for turnout.

But, it all bit the GOPe in the end. They lost loyalists in Congress. That's all they accomplished.

So the German Democratic Republic was a democratic republic?

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a democratic republic?

What a stupid argument, Good to see you can easily be fed propaganda.

224 But, it all bit the GOPe in the end. They lost loyalists in Congress. That's all they accomplished.

=====

Winning by losing leads to losing, not winning.

The base just took increased control. Far from full control, but more control.

227 Democrats are going to get crushed in the midterms.

They know it too. It’s why they are still trying to cheat and their main op is trying g to suppress republican voters.

Don’t fall for it. Go vote

228 Bernie Sanders has been pumping out the same shit for over 30 years. He's like a hobo sleeping in a storm drain. How many billionaires are still in Vermont?

‘F around and find out’ is still the Democrats’ position on redistricting and is even more so our position after the SCOTUS ruling.
Hakeem Jeffries is talking about a scenario when Illinois, Maryland, Colorado, and New York are totally blue. We could get 52 seats in California. Democrats support a national gerrymandering ban. Republicans would be wise to support it before this gets even uglier.

Dem majority of 5-10 in the House.

Senate stays the same.

That's my prediction.

It's the same argument as Antifa is "anti-fascist".

It's not propaganda, though. Name one free economy country that would subsidize a vacation for its citizens. ("Strength through Joy").

Name a country like that whose leader worked with a car company to ensure a car most of its citizens could afford. (the Volkswagen)

Fascism is inherently socialist, from Gentile and Mussolini. It's just not on Marx's timeline is all. Mussolini coined the phrase "National Socialism"

But the parties switched so the Republicans that were attacked before Trump would have been Democrats today. But not vice versa. It all makes sense on Planet Zaxxon.

================

I'm so naive about this. I don't get why political gerrymandering is okey-dokey. I have this weird idea that a nonpartisan agent -- like an algorithm with nothing in it but things like county lines, population density, MAYBE a predominance of some industry or other -- should draw the maps.
