@elonmusk retweeted a report about telling AI agents what to do and them getting it wrong (because of lack of "logical reasoning" is the claim): Elon Musk retweeted X Freeze @XFreeze 4h The exact same question to Grok 4.3, GPT 5.5, and Claude Opus 4.7: “Count to 10 starting from 11” Grok 4.3 wins 🏆 Every single time It gave 11, 10 and explained why going backwards was the only logical move... Yay. Work weasels went from Jenkins to GitLab and then to Github.
Whatever is cheapest, assuming that you ignore the man-hour cost of converting from one to another. The same weasels that assume if you aren't typing keys on your computer, you aren't doing work for the company as a regular full-time employee. (Thinking about how to structure future work isn't work, after all.) Same company is in full-on for AI. They are tracking token use for each employee for the agents they are paying for. I write software; I'm not a business analyst (BA). Using an AI requires writing specifications (which is a BA job) so the agent knows what to do. BAs are important, don't get me wrong; a decent project manager will kill for a good BA. I don't want to be one, which is why I am not one. The counting thing is interesting, but I would never ask an ai to count for me.
What I would ask it to do is, I don’t know, look through this 8k line sql file and provide the code for an ERD diagram. Which it does, with nary an error. Posted by: Thomas Bender at April 29, 2026 05:31 AM (XV/Pl) 23

With regards the agent md files.
Mine are very small and focused around what I’m building at the time. They are typically generated after a short interrogatory with the ai and that’s what I’ll use for the duration with very few updates. It’s worked well so far. AI isn't nearly the threat that some folks think it is
Local ratepayers stood for a doubling of water rates ten years ago, to increase processing capacity to take care of all projected demand for the rest of my life. It's about half paid for. The new "AI" center will neatly use up every drop of that new capacity. Ditto, big new gas pipe feeding new power plant. Data center's own rep allows as how our power rates will triple for ten years or so until they get their on-site power approved and built, and after that will just use up all the capacity of the new pipeline. I don't give a damn about your keyboard slamming and yabbering. I paid for those utilities, and they want them for free. They also want us to give them the land literally for free, and not pay any taxes for 20 years. Just sit the hell down. Posted by: Way, Way Downriver at April 29, 2026 06:50 AM (zdLoL) 71

Maybe. Now factor in a cashless society. Some type of CBDC. Like, oh, say stable coin. Then, oh, something along the lines of social credit scores.
