Insurance appears to be going to the companies, which change their names and registrations when there are accidents. it is a similar problem with the contractors who drive the USPS mail. The real problem at the USPS appears to be that the rules and payments are set up so that only slave labor, recycled equipment and insurance fraud is the only way to afford the fuel and get a profit from the contracts.

1) The leftards now hate Amazon. Almost everything new has a negative mention/opinion of Amazon.

Read about chameleon trucking firms--essentially shell corporations used to deflect liability and enable rapid switches using the same trucks and drivers to escape scrutiny and legal liability.
Scotus has a case going right now where lower courts have allowed the brokers to be sued for hiring such firms that cause injuries or deaths from accidents. Lower courts have held that brokers, as intermediaries between the shippers and the trucking firm can be held liable for failure to do due diligence for the firms they hire.

My dad was an OTR truck driver. Started out working for the oil industry in a local boom period which was a lot more nights at home, then during a bust period switched to working for a company doing the long hauls. There are tons of rules and red tape for legal drivers. Makes me furious that blue shithole states just give CDLs to illegals and most probably let illegals off with only a warning when they break the rules. I know commie Colorado does not enforce the regular non CDL rules and laws against illegals.

Course moving to a federal license means something like federal preemption of licenses to fly planes. FAA pretty much excludes states from meaningful regulations of the air.
