Credibly Accused Rapist and Former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax Murders Wife, Shoots Self in Murder-Suicide
You probably remember the name but may have some trouble remembering the details.
Back during BlackFaceGate, where they totally not-racist Democrat Governor Ralph Northam turned out to have worn black face multiple times in college -- and then his totally not-racist AG was revealed to have done so as well -- there was no push for Northam to resign in favor of his Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax because, get this, multiple women came forward accusing Fairfax of having raped them during his college years and then in his early adulthood. Because this was a Democrat, #BelieveAllWomen did not apply, and there was no pressure for Fairfax to resign. Nor was there any pressure for the blackface-wearing governor and AG to resign. See, it's (D)ifferent. Well, it turns out that Justin Fairfax wasn't just a rapist, but an incipient murderer.WASHINGTON -- Embattled former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax killed his estranged wife and himself inside their million-dollar home outside the nation's capital early Thursday, cops said. The 47-year-old Democrat repeatedly shot Cerina Fairfax in the basement of their Annandale residence just after midnight before turning the gun on himself in another part of the abode, according to Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis. The couple's two teenage children were inside the home at the time of the murder-suicide, and their son called 911 to report the shootings.Obviously the chief of police in this ultra-blue county is a Democrat, because you usually don't say that a repeat rapist really had it going on. But again, it's (D)ifferent.
"It is high-profile in nature, it's tragic in nature. Certainly a fall from grace for a relatively high-profile family that seemingly had had a lot of things going in their favor," Davis told reporters shortly before the couple's bodies were removed from the home.

Police had responded to the family home back in January after Fairfax accused his wife of assaulting him. Investigators later determined he'd lied after reviewing footage from multiple cameras that Cerina had set up inside the home.
... At least two women publicly accused Fairfax of sexually assaulting them in 2000 and 2004. Vanessa Tyson, an associate professor at Scripps College and fellow at Stanford University, accused Fairfax of raping her at a hotel during the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. Fairfax denied the accusation, saying the encounter was consensual. Then a second woman, Meredith Watson, came forward to claim Fairfax raped her in a "premeditated and aggressive" attack in 2000 while they were both at Duke.The Democrat Party is the party of psychopaths, rapists, and killers. It must be purged, Baath-style. There's something conservatives say which I'm sick of: "We think the Democrats are wrong, while they think we're evil." He sees something he wants, but cannot achieve, so he invents a philosophy of Gimme Gimme to explain why the power of the state should be used to take the thing he wants from its owner and give it to him. The entire Democrat Party is based on envy and people who think they "deserve." They're generally not smart nor productive, but they "deserve" top-paying jobs and of course enormous respect and social status. They're unattractive and unappealing, but they deserve the absolute highest quality mates and free sex on demand. Many, like Eric Swalwell, will resort to rape when the "deserving" they feel about women's affections goes unfulfilled. And they construct psychopath-level manipulations to demonstrate to you that they are morally entitled to use state coercion to take what you have -- "expropriate" -- and appropriate it for themselves. James Lindsey calls "critical theories" "cynical theories," because "critical theory" is nothing but a cynical, self-interested, greedy, envious, spiteful attempt to manipulate you into accepting that what you have actually, rightfully belongs to them. Say that's a nice house, Madam. But you built on "stolen land" so I should have your house. Yes, I'm 1/1028th Cherokee, my "family lore" says, but even if I weren't, I have the moral perfection to properly cherish this Stolen Land and do honor to the tribes you stole it from by "living in harmony" with the salon and master bedroom. It's just gimme, gimme, gimme all the way down. Low-quality people spamming out ridiculous manipulations to seize all the high-quality jobs and goods. It is an artificial caste system created to privilege the psychopaths over their marks and victims. It is, as a Rick and Morty joke said, just slavery with extra steps. Hello! Despite my current disgust, it's a great day. I have made the first (I hope) step towards achieving a dream: Befriending a crow. A crow landed on my deck (near my well-varnished desk) and quickly scrambled to find some old cereal to feed him. He didn't fly off even when I had opened the door and was tossing food around. He just ate with me a few steps away. I've now tossed out some keto bread -- I don't think that will hurt a bird, because keto bread is made mostly of bullshit and self-delusion (it's just fucking bread; the increased price is a tax on stupidity) -- and am waiting, hoping he will return to eat more. So that's pretty good, isn't it? I typed in "how to befriend" and Google auto-completed "a crow." That kind of indicates the system is spying on me, doesn't it? (Or maybe I've just typed that in before.)

The incentive structure to rise up on an already established political machine is about ass kissing, never policy or anything to do with voters.
Smart people can easily rise up in that environment, but if you combine that with stupid people getting into high positions, the people in the high positions don't want smart people to make them feel dumb. So, they push out the smart people and replace them with dumber people than them to feel superior.
This degrades the overall machine, but entrenched political machines have a lot of ruin in them.

That's referencing a raven, not a crow.
Ravens are typically larger than crows, with a wingspan of 45–51 inches compared to crows' 36 inches, and they have a diamond-shaped tail in flight, while crows have a fan-shaped tail.

She was divorcing him. She's the likely breadwinner. He got desparate enough to report a (false) domestic violence act by his wife (who apparently knew this could happen b/c she had put cameras in the house) in January. She filed new legal papers on him yesterday. He got served them and snapped.
The papers possibly could have required him to immediately leave the premises. That would make sense in a timeline, but no one is saying what they are.

I'm in a former rural area turned suburb and we have loads of carrion birds around here. Dead squirrels, armadillos, possums, raccoons, you name it they're on it chowing down. It's a little creepy sometimes. You'll drive down the street and a whole flock of those things will be perched on all the rails of a split-rail fence, a literal wall-o-vultures just watching, waiting, salivating.

Was stuck in the same house for a bit pending the divorce my ex initiated. It was pretty awful. She began her parental alienation campaign right in front of me, now that I look back on it, and was already outright lying to the kids. I was too upset and scared and emasculated to consistently counteract it, to my everlasting shame. I don't recommend it.

Good observation. I started noticing that mid to high IQ people simply can't understand why someone starts fights with cops instead of just taking the ticket or whatever. HOWEVER, note these important provisos:
Some dog fopd kibble has piece that are TOO BIG fr crows to eat, so I discovered a clever workarnd
1. Buy PUPPY chow, not dog chow. Puppy chow has smaller pieces, which crows like better.
2. The puppy chpw might also attract other unwanted vermin, so figure out a way to keep it contained and not be spread all over the place.
3. Beware that crows poop a lot, and their poops are big, so while they're standing around on your deck waiting for puppy chow, they will leave droppings that you will have to later clean up. That's the reality of wild animals -- they just poo where they stand.
Peanuts can work good too, but in my experience the peanuts attracted other birds too (mostly bluejays), which ended up scaring the crows off. So I ended up avoiding peanuts for crow-luring.

One day, I tossed a still-in-the-shell peanut out on the deck and waited. Within just a few minutes, a squirrel came by, snatched it and scampered off.
Did that a few times then got bored. Grabbed a needle and thread from the wife's sewing table, lashed two peanuts together and tossed it out on the deck.
Gone in 60 seconds.
Stitched three peanuts together and tossed that out.
Gone.
Kept doing that, adding one peanut at a time to the 'train' before tossing it out on the deck.
I got up to well over a dozen peanuts stitched together. It was funny watching the squirrel run off with the peanut train in its mouth.
Eventually, I got bored with that too and took a nap on the sofa. When I woke up and looked out onto the deck, I saw the squirrel sitting there with its nose pressed up against the glass.
I laughed and closed the blinds.

We put out a dried fruit and nut mix for the squirrels not too long ago. We have woods right behind us. It was so cute watching one squirrel find this manna from heaven, take a little nut, run away with it for 2 minutes, come right back and grab another piece of fruit and run off, 2 minutes later come for another piece and run off....he or she was obviously taking it to a hiding place one piece at a time. It used to be a requirement in "no fault" divorces that the couple formally separate and live separate lives for a year (or six months). Courts took the requirement seriously.
In some cases (mostly due to finances), the couple would live "separate" but in the same house. That was almost always a disaster.
The current trend is to allow "no fault" divorce based just on a statement that the marriage is dead. The idea is to get these people apart and end the marriage as quickly as possible.

My ex tried to do a standoff on the house when I finally got the guts to leave, and of course he made it as awful as humanly possible. He didn’t want to be considered as having abandoned the property - but it was obviously untenable for me to stay, so I left and he immediately filed saying I abandoned it. We proved I had to leave it because he was….him. And his parting gift to me was punching me in the side of the face while I held my little one. We ran, leaving everything behind. She didn’t even have shoes on. He immediately stopped paying the mortgage and let it go into foreclosure despite the court order he had to pay.

Yes. I use a net on the cherry trees. I also bag every grape on the vine, but last year I think they figured out that they can tear the bag (first paper, but also some of the net bags!) I printed up photos to put on the wall under the eves so to scare them. Cats, Trump, Gary Cooper .... but the grapes were already all gone so I never tested.

Ravens are asshoe. They're sarcastic and will get off on mocking you to your face. Back in my Army days during a long road march in Alaska I had one follow me cackling like a co-host of The View. At first I thought it was because I was near it's nest and it was putting out alarm signals. Nope. The fucker followed me for about a mile, looking straight at me while cackling, then it'd fly ahead and wait for me to pass before cackling again.
