Company Charges People $1.99 Per Minute to Talk to AI-Powered Jesus Avatar ![]() For centuries, billions of Christians have dreamed of conversing with their lord and saviour Jesus Christ, if only for a few seconds. Now, tech company Just Like Me is using AI to finally make that dream a reality, sort of. According to Just Like Me, Jesus AI is a modern mentor rooted in love—designed to inspire, guide, and uplift anyone seeking support in daily life. Company CEO Chris Breed said the company’s Jesus AI model was trained on the King James Bible as well as sermons from various preachers. He also clarified that the AI chatbot is not intended to replace faith, clergy, scripture, or personal beliefs, but only offers a compassionate presence to help you navigate real-life challenges with positivity and clarity.” By paying a fee of $1.99 per minute, or $49.99 for 45 minutes of conversation with Jesus AI, users can have video calls with a digital avatar of Jesus Christ based on actor Jonathon Roumie’s portrayal of the Messiah on the TV show The Chosen. *** “This is evil. You can talk to the real Jesus for free whenever you want,” one person commented on X. “1.99 a minute? Whew, getting my confessions in with Jesus also got hit by inflation,” someone else commented. That image above is from a video you can watch at the link. Spoiler: it's less than whelming. Nor related, yet somehow related ----- Think we had reached peak stupidity? Nope! TikTok Trend of Eating Mini Clay Pots Raises Health Concerns ![]() A recent TikTok trend has people confused—and a little concerned. Videos show users eating mini clay pots, a practice where small clay containers are covered in lime juice and Tajín seasoning, then eaten whole. The trend started with TikTok creator Janeth Herrera, who shared videos of herself eating these clay pots during her pregnancy. Her clips quickly went viral, gaining millions of views. Some viewers are curious and even eager to try eating mini clay pots themselves, while others find the idea strange or unappealing. Experts say cravings like this may be linked to a condition called pica, which causes people to crave non-food items such as dirt or clay. This can sometimes happen during pregnancy or when the body lacks certain nutrients like iron. However, even if basic lab results appear normal, there may still be underlying deficiencies. *** While the trend of eating mini clay pots continues to spread online, medical advice remains clear: the risks outweigh any potential benefits.Video can be seen at the link. Back in the early 1900s, the roads were terrible, so Reeves thought adding extra wheels would make things smoother. Was he right? Well... kind of. KanekoaTheGreat
@KanekoaTheGreat It's fascinating to see what social media reveals about a person before they become the Pope. Before he became Pope Leo XIV, Cardinal Robert Prevost was on Twitter trashing Trump, criticizing Vance, calling for open borders, promoting COVID vaccines, endorsing stricter gun control, and tweeting after George Floyd: "We need to hear more from leaders in the Church, to reject racism and seek justice." The account was deleted the day he was elected. ------ This (fake) "Pope" needs to be pilloried and openly mocked in every available outlet. Here ya go, Stephen - I may have to do it in 2 posts:
Amidst all of our sorrow, the sweetest little girl melted all of our hearts and gave us a lasting gift. Rachel’s friend, Claudia, told us the following story: Yesterday evening when I left to go be with Rachel, I explained to my daughter, Logan, that Mommy would be away for a few days…her friend Rachel and her family needed her to come be a friend, because they were going through something very sad. She said that she wanted to come with me and help, and I told her that I had to go by myself. She was deep in thought, and disappeared for a while. When she came back to me, I was standing in my kitchen, and she dropped two coins – a nickel and a penny – into my pocket, and informed me that they were for Rachel and her family, to make them feel better. I regained my composure, hugged her, and said thank you. They stayed in my pocket until I got to the hotel room, and I handed them to Rachel, relaying my little girl’s message. Rachel was very touched by the gesture, and when she got to the hospital, she shared the story with everyone in the waiting room, and showed everyone the coins. (Cont....) At some point later that morning, someone went downstairs to get some drinks and snacks, and Paul gave them some money to get him something as well. When they came back, they handed Paul his items and his change. He absent-mindedly pulled out his wallet and put the bills from his change in it and put it back in his pants pocket. He went to pick up the coins from his change, and just started weeping.
Sitting there on the table in front of him was a nickel and a penny. No other coins had been given in change, just those two. Needless to say, after that there wasn’t a dry eye among our friends and family who were in the ICU waiting room. As Claudia said, it felt like Michelle was using a small gesture to send a big hug our way. Later on in the day, one of Paul’s family members came upstairs, quite excited. When they had gone to lunch, they had received a nickel and a penny back in change. They brought their coins back and gave them to us. And of course the tears started up again. AI Jesus:
There's a YT site that runs AI generated videos of the wisdom and advice of St. Padre Pio, a Franciscan monk who was a stigmatist. The titles are straight-up click bait: "The fifteen sins you MUST confess if you're over 60! Number 7 will astound you!" (Okay, I added that last sentence, but you know the drill.) If you click through, they do have a disclaimer about their uses of AI and their methods of putting together the videos. But it's pretty sketchy and I wish people were more discerning. Probably the biggest problem I have with this is that by refusing to treat victims and victimizers differently, they are literally refusing to provide sanctuary. Some days you really have to work to find 5 things, but that is the point - no matter how bad a day may be, you can ALWAYS find something to be grateful for, even if it's just noticing how pretty the color of the sky is. Martyn LeNoble turns 57 today. He's a Dutch bassist who has worked with a number of bands, notably as a founding member of Porno For Pyros. He is married to actress Christina Applegate and they have a daughter together, plus he has another daughter from a previous relationship.
To me, his discography basically looks like that of a session musician who also knew some exciting but erratic people. I'm guessing that it was probably the lower-profile stuff that paid for the groceries, but that's not as interesting, so here are a couple of catchy songs with messy people: Thelonious Monster - Body And Soul? Today, boys and girls, I argued with someone I like that Pope Leo is not going to influence any vote for the mid-terms. Or divide the GOP if the anti-semitism fails. My MIL is dead, as it might have influenced her as she was influenced by her liberal homo brother to vote for Obungo. I argued that Catholics who voted for Trump see through this propaganda.I could be wrong. I rarely am wrong, granted, but I could be. I also seem to be arguing a lot lately and am unsure why. I guess I am tired of baloney...oooh...let's all freak out! on any given day. I also tend not to fret about the mid terms or what a Pope says (even though I am a brand new Catholic). This, too, shall pass. While I wish sometimes President Trump would pick his battles and comments a bit better, I still have no regrets for voting for him three times. And I agree that he does not need to apologize because Leo should care about the Nigerians murdered for their faith, the tens of thousands murdered by Iran in recent months, and who knows how many secret Christians in Iran. Evening, Doof, and ONT Horde!
Just got home. Drove about 60 miles to another town to buy a set of used tires for my '88 Chevy pickup. Got a little less than half way home, and the charge warning lamp came on in the '08 Suburban I was driving. And I no longer had power steering. Engine was running just fine, though. I pulled off the highway onto a field approach, and popped the hood. Serpentine belt shredded, and the tensioner idler wheel was gone; disintegrated. Welp! No tools on board, it's just a local cruise, right? Called a friend, and he came and picked me up, and drove me home. I parked the 'burb between two gates, so it's not blocking access to either field, and the wellheads there. Tomorrow, I hitch up the car trailer to my '99 Suburban, and go fetch the wounded warrior. Maybe someone should start a Tik Tok of eating Play Doh. I ate small amts and am still alive.
When I was old enough to know better, age 7yrs or so, bored on my grandmother's front porch while it was raining, I swallowed a tiny, tiny plastic bead making jewelry on purpose and with no reason. The guilt nearly killed me and I told my mother before I went to bed (in the event I croaked). She told me I would be fine. I would like to see the clay pot eater's teeth. Tik tok is (I don't have a word for this). I somehow survived the mid-'70's and college and don't recall having to eat weird stuff to prove anything. I did party very hard and guess that was our generation. The current generation seems to be lacking IQ. Maybe all the tatoos and piercings and gender confusion. @kate_p45 Have you ever noticed that we never see Catholic cardinals or the Pope speak out about all the Christian churches being burned down around the world? But yet, Pope Leo runs to showcase a mosque in a country that restricts Christians and other faiths, and coerces conversion to Islam. Not a single statement of concern from Pope Leo or the Cardinals about religious freedom and protections for Christian minorities in certain regions. Totally OT, but recent: Trump’s post of himself looking like Jesus happened because Trump is not familiar with Christian iconography. Remember, this is the guy who cited Two Corinthians, not Second Corinthians. He’s had some nominal exposure to Christianity from his childhood, but I don’t think it was very deep or meaningful. There’s still hope for his salvation, but he’ll need the Lord to draw him in, if it’s His will. Trump honestly thought he looked like a doctor spreading healing in his post, as he explained it.

There are others where they have an AI Feynman sounding and looking like him, but it’s not him. And it’s not his words. Viewer beware: real Feynman video is old, and many were shot on film, not video. They do the same with other famous men of physics like Einstein, but the fakes are a little more obvious. For example, Einstein never overcame his soft German accent when speaking in English. If your YouTube Einstein speaks clear unaccented English, it’s not him. There’s a lot of fakery everywhere.

One of the issues is when we feel bad, we think we always felt bad and that locks us in the down part of the cycle. If you can see that you have good days and bad days, objectively from your own notes, it will break you out. We tell ourselves lies to justify the emotions and beliefs we hold. Listening ONLY to that internal dialogue is like believing your own propaganda. You need outside info that you can trust. "I always am depressed" is one of those lies that makes being depressed justifiable. You will also have to do something about those inner dialogues you run continually that beat you down inside. You might think on that. Theresa's suggestion touches on that. Posted by: Kindltot at April 14, 2026 11:40 PM (rbvCR) 320

@197...I did not read about a church set on fire in Quebec. Wow.
If the burning of Notre Dame did not get the attention of the Catholic Church, nothing will. Even with a video of a Muslim on the roof at the time. I don't understand. I was not Catholic at the time but had seen the Cathedral three times on visits to Paris, and it made me very sad. I knew then, with the way the French acted, that they got away with it unscathed. Someday, sadly, they will do the same to Westminster Abbey and once again the government and that church will do nothing. How many famous mosques have been set on fire? eh? Is it fear? Actual fear of war, considering they will soon be outnumbered? Or fear of being called an Islamophobe? I will never understand this fear. Pope Leo XIV has urged Christians in Europe and North America to be "less fearful" of Islam, emphasizing that such fears are often generated by anti-immigration sentiments rather than reality.
During a press conference on his return flight from Beirut to Rome on December 2, 2025, the Pope cited Lebanon as a model where Islam and Christianity coexist, _Brave AI ‘One of the great lessons that Lebanon can teach to the world is showing a land where Islam and Christianity are both respected, and that there is a possibility to live together, to be friends.’ ... “Those lessons would be important also to be heard in Europe or North America: that we should perhaps be a little less fearful and look for ways of promoting authentic dialogue and respect.” _thetablet.co. uk/news/ Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at April 15, 2026 12:05 AM (yRrl+) 366

Was just reading a great piece linked on X about the A-10. Fighting Iran’s fast boats in the Straits is a perfect task for it, the kind of task it was made for. Iran’s fast boats are small, made of fiberglass and carry a single anti ship missile. They were designed to be very fast and hard to detect with radar so that a swarm could get within range of a frigate and launch their missiles.

I don't get the logic behind "you eat weird things due to cravings because your body is lacking a particular nutrient." How do you know clay is full of what you're lacking?
Posted by: mikeski at April 15, 2026 01:15 AM (VHUov) Clay is full of a lot of cations in its mineral makeup. Calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, aluminum, iron, and others. Clay pots are primarily composed of fine-grained minerals derived from the weathering of silicate rocks, with the main constituents being alumina (Al₂O₃
Beyond these primary components, the composition varies by clay type and often includes: Feldspar: Acts as a flux to lower the melting point and aid vitrification. Quartz: Adds strength and acts as a filler to maintain shape during firing. Impurities and Organic Matter: Such as iron oxide (which colors the clay), titania, and calcium carbonate. --- Don't think any of these things qualify as necessary for good health. 199 Honest question- most of my friends are Catholics. They are also as "conservative" as me, but any criticism of the Pope - any Pope - is met with great resistance. If you believe in the infallibility of any one, just because he carries a title or banner, that's a problem. IMHO. What gives? I'm also drunk, as a disclaimer.
Posted by: Ex Rex Reeder at April 14, 2 The things on which the Pope speaks infallibly is extremely limited Extremely ! Certainly his statements about Trump or current events does not even come close Posted by: Hunter Biden at April 14, 2026 10:48 PM (lCppi) **** Life long Catholic here. Life. Long. I am also of almost equal parts Irish and Italian descent. Was active in parish leadership. I can tell you right now that I, and almost everyone like me, wants to kick the current commie Pope in the nuts. What we wanted to do to the previous commie pope, Francis, can only be found in the Old Testament and Revelations. Also - as far as we were concerned, Francis was illegitimate (as Pope Benedict was still alive when he was given the papacy and Popes. Don't. Resign). The Pope is a man, not God. He should shut his (&%$) mouth on things political. Posted by: Publius Redux at April 15, 2026 01:27 AM (/aZwr) 429
