Quote I "We believe our policies are consistent with the law and reflect our commitment to fairness, opportunity, and building the strongest possible teams," NFL executive vice president Jeff MillerI normally don't comment on the Quotes of The Day. Between this Miller guy and his gutless, spineless, testicle free boss Roger Goodell I can't stand the NFL and it can't go broke fast enough. I grew up close to Green Bay and have always been a Packers fan. But since 2020 I've given up on the league. The kneelers, the "Hands up" bullshit, politics entered the game. So I now spend my Sunday afternoons doing anything but watching football. I definitely looked super awkward because I had nothing on me apart from boobs.’ Summer Robert ![]() apitalism in space As part of the reshaping of NASA being pushed by NASA administrator Jared Isaacman, the agency today announced major changes to its future programs in low Earth orbit, on the Moon, and in exploring Mars. Video of these changes can be viewed here and here. The Moon NASA will now focus all work in its lunar program on getting to the surface of the Moon. Lunar Gateway is “paused,” though the language of NASA’s press release suggests more strongly that it is dead, with the agency already trying to figure out ways to “repurpose” its already built components. NASA will instead ask for proposals from private industry and its international Artemis partners to ramp up as soon as possible a phased program to establish the infrastructure on the Moon needed for the lunar base. This new focus begins with “up to 30 robotic landings in three years, starting in 2027,” and at least two manned landings per year beginning in 2028. The graph below, presented during today’s announcement, shows the basic plan for the next few Artemis missions, which will act as the manned foundation for this entire surface-focused program. The overall program will build out the lunar base in three phases, first to test some basic infrastructure using these smaller lunar landers, second to begin establishing the base’s foundational components with intermittent manned missions, and third to begin long-term human occupancy. It seems like this poor girl can't get an even break from the scolds and cuck bois. In a town where most celebrities can’t be bothered to acknowledge the military unless it’s a Veterans Day photo op with a sepia filter, one Hollywood star just did something that shouldn’t be remarkable — but absolutely is. Sydney Sweeney, the actress best known for stealing scenes in Euphoria and The White Lotus, took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her brother and deliver a message so simple it apparently short-circuited half the internet. “Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” Sweeney wrote. And then she committed the unforgivable sin of being publicly grateful to the United States Armed Forces. “Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love! Earlier this week, Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows directed a Texas legislative committee to study the possibility of adding “one or more contiguous counties of New Mexico” to the state of Texas. The committee has been instructed to study the constitutional, legal, fiscal, and economic feasibility of such a move and outline what steps would be required at both the state and federal levels.
Burrows framed the idea as a conversation about representation and economic alignment, particularly in the oil- and gas-producing Permian Basin region that stretches across southeastern New Mexico and West Texas. Everyone has to say their pronouns before speaking, they have pink cards for women and blacks to speak ahead of white men, then the blacks complain that white men got ahead of them. @GiorgiaMeloni Mar 29 The Security Decree works. The preventive detention ordered for 91 individuals from the anarchist movement, deemed dangerous and who arrived in Rome for a demonstration unauthorized by the Police Headquarters in memory of the two anarchists who died on March 19 in the explosion of a bomb they were making, confirms the necessity of this provision. It does not serve to limit the freedom to demonstrate, as certain leftists claimed. It serves, on the contrary, to ensure that demonstrations take place in a peaceful and non-violent manner, as provided for in the Constitution, and to protect those who want to exercise that right in a civilized manner, without violence and without devastation. It is in this direction that the Government will continue to move: more tools to ensure safety for all and more protections for those who want to demonstrate peacefully. I took a survey on a train once from Munich to Bruges. Granted it was a commuter train, end of the work day, and four blonde Americans got on to their dismay with one carry on suitcase. They were yapping in Finnish, which none of us speak. I was tired. Made my way to a seating of 4 lads sharing a beer over a table. One tiny man was hogging two seats and I asked politely to sit and he moved over (seeing as I was taller, lovely but with a mean crazy look in my eyes). The rest of my family were strap hangers, but not me. They chattered away as I looked at scenic windmills and commented how pretty, etc. Knowing they hated my American guts and ignoring that fact because I did not care. Apparently a routine re-set of a launch clock timer somehow caused the second stage to ignite, directing flames into the first stage. Roasted a bunch of people outright, many got mired in an asphalt roadway that had melted.
IIRC the story, the engineers were running behind so the appartchek running the program planned a party on the launch pad as they were supposed to finish. This led to the engineers and techs working round the clock and someone left a valve open letting a toxic/flammable chemical to seep out It caught fire and then exploded killing a good deal of the USSR's best scientists, engineers, and technicians all in one go... Oh, they're going to use Elon's tankers. Big Time. This is what a boondoggle the SLS/Orion approach is. The lunar lander is going to be a modifed Starship, dubbed Starship HLS. It has to get the Moon and insert itself into orbit on it's own. Multiple refueling and tanker launched into LEO will be required to fuel an HLS version for its trip to the Moon. Orion carries the crew. The dock in an EPO/CoLA orbit (that stands for Elliptical Polar with Co-plane Line of Apsides -- I roll my eyes at their acronyms). Crew transfers to HLS to land. HLS then brings them back to Orion. At this point, you scream, if Starship is going to do all that, then why doesn't it just carry the astronauts itself to begin with? I remember seeing a cell phone video sent out of China after a failed rocket launch from the countries interior. (Don’t know if it was a satellite or military or whatever) Big rocket goes up, looks good, then it loses control and pitches down and there’s no self destruct - it flies at full power straight down into a populated area where all that rocket fuel made a real Big Bada Boom. The Chinese never reported it. When asked they said there was no crash because there was no launch. What about the video? There was no video, and if we find person who took video that does not exist, he get long stay in re-education camp. Posted by: Tom Servo at March 31, 2026 12:09 AM (ZPDpH) 215

So, IT managers for an established product are always pissing off customers by messing with their "cognitive capital" of knowing how things work. It's a real cost, and I think that for very large projects like Windows, it could be worth it to bring in a cross-functional manager near the end whose bragline would be something like "saved us from pissing us all our valued customers, by cutting 1213 wholly unnecessary changes from the new version." AOC would win the debate as uncle tom soals would be busy being necklaced by black men that his polices of solving social problems with police service revolvers at the pay of rich white republicans would not be able to protect him.

Back in the early 80's, I had a great talk with my Grandpa... he had literally been born in horse and buggy days, and grew up on a Farm in Nebraska plowing behind Horses... yet lived to see Men walk on the Moon.
Strange that HE saw Men on the Moon, but my 35 year old Son? has not. We lost some Mojo somewhere. Posted by: Romeo13 at March 31, 2026 01:41 AM (mP0Kj) The free shit army didn't help. Posted by: Berserker-Dragonheads Division at March 31, 2026 02:40 AM (snZF9) 251

We lost some Mojo somewhere. Posted by: Romeo13 at March 31, 2026 01:41 AM (mP0Kj) Is it truly all that strange? It was an amazing achievement. It was incredibly expensive. It served very little practical purpose. The current moon base plans don't make any sense either. We're nowhere near the capability of setting up any kind of useful resource extraction, it's just another gimmick project that is destined to be canceled. Posted by: Sjg What movie was it starring Tom Cruise in which aliens had come to Earth to strip mine it and the Moon for resources? Every time the Moon was shown in the sky, it resembled a Death Star from Star Wars being put together when in fact it was the Moon being taken apart by the unfriendly visitors. Posted by: Not a communist at March 31, 2026 03:01 AM (lQ+/f) *** Don't feed the troll! **** Greetings hordlings, from your man in Singapore. How goes all? I am thinking that the Artemis Program, although a bit of a boondoggle, is necessary for us to keep up some semblance of space program (and I also don't want to hear the nonsense that will ensue if China somehow manages to send a manned mission there before we do (again). We waste enough money on useless shit, fraud and graft, I think we can find some space (pardon the pun) in the gigantic deficit spend for this. Oh - also I would pay good coin to see Sowell beat up AOC, metaphorically speaking of course.
. . . Come to think of it, I would pay good coin to see him beat her up physically as well, perhaps even more $ than a debate beatdown; which would be, to quote the kids today, "savage." Posted by: Publius Redux at March 31, 2026 03:28 AM (/aZwr) 256

National General Strike on May day! On strike shut it down! Fascists your bound to lose!
Posted by: raimondo ----- This is not a response to the idiot raimondo (don't feed the trolls), but a comment on a General.Strike. I go out on 5/1 and run.into business that is closed or running slowly because workers didn't show up? I tell the owner that if he doesn't fire the jackasses, I'll never do business with them again. I'll look for picket lines to walk through. I'll take pictures and post them as anti-American Commie agitators. But, I live out in the boonies outside a small.AZ town. I won't see any of that big city nonsense.
