If only this were real.

Forensics search border collie activates the super-sniffer.

TSA dog's retirement day.

Flashdance (turtle version).

Minding junior.

Seal grabs a nap.

Horror movie jump scare.

Einstein puppy.

Cats in odd positions.

Kitten twiddles its masters thumb.

Standing room only.

Reportedly, seven dogs were stolen from their owners but escaped and made the ten mile journey back home.

A group of seven dogs bravely returned home to their owners in a near-ten-mile trek after being stolen, Dextero reports.

A viral video shows the pack, which includes Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds and Corgis, walking along the Changchun Highway in the province of Changchun, Jilin in China. According to South China Morning Post, the video has been viewed more than 230 million times, and shows the dogs fleeing along the busy road. The pets were allegedly stolen by thieves working at a dog meat shop.

On March 16, a witness, named Lu, recorded the pack and tried to lead them to safety, but was ignored. The dogs, including one who had an injured leg, were shown following a Corgi, who occasionally looked back to ensure that no one went astray.

"They resemble a band of little brothers in distress, moving in unison -- nothing like stray dogs," Lu told Dahe Daily.

Sounds cute, but in addition to AI slop, one kind of fake story I see on Twitter is where they take real video but just completely invent a fake but poignant narrative to go along with it. Like a video will say "He saved this baby turtle, and later, it saved his life," and then they just assemble bits and pieces of different videos about different turtles culminating with the turtle calling 911. And they don't show the turtle dialing 911. They just tell you this happened.

Do I believe this viral story from a foreign outlet I've never heard of? Let's just say that around the holidays I allow myself to entertain the possibility of Santa.

I would not believe it. The propaganda media are running Iranian ops against us. They are running lies straight from the Iranian occupational government to demoralize us and leave them in power. The "American" media know this, but they run the claims anyway because both Iran and the media want to defeat Trump (and America).

Thank you so much. And in keeping with the pet thread, I have to tell you about the cat invasion.

My friends' outdoor cats have stayed here when it's been really cold. Snowflake is friends with Ralphy. She also has amassed great intelligence about the layout of the house and our routines.

Since I'm now carrying Ralphy in and out to the washroom, she is using this opportunity to use the open doors to come inside. Which is fine. She's welcome here.

I've had Ralphy on the bed. They've both been on the bed before but Snowflake must know something happened. She's been licking and grooming Ralphy and falling asleep on him. Too adorable.

It's still snowing here but I'll get her flea medication when it warms up. I don't give her any food but she likes to rest here in the afternoon.

72 I remember one of my first big boyscout camps where at the beginning everyone gets tested for swimming. Generally early in the morning the first real day. You jump in and swim a course and tread water for a while. Depending on how you do you are designated a blue, red, and white.

White meant you are allowed to swim in one quarter inch of water. Basically, you better stay dry. Red means you have to stay in the kiddie area that's 4' - 6' deep. Blue means, hey go wild pal and have fun. So we're all lined up ready to get in. Kids jump in and they're having major problems, crying and stuff. Pussies. So it gets my turn and I'm jumping in like an olympiad, I'll show them how a man swims! This water I was jumping into, five seconds ago, melted off a glacier, like that picture up top. We were up in the mountains.

Exactly freezing. I hadn't figured that all out before hitting the water. Chest seized and I just barely swam the course, flailing and thrashing like a spaz. I barely made blue, and turned blue by the end. It was the summer though and later swimming at a normal time like the afternoon was great fun.

119 Funny thing about ICE. They are already at every major airport . They have offices there. Every plane load of bananas or Chinese televisions has to meet with customs. I had a friend who owned dogs that they used to sniff for drugs in the cargo holds those planes at Detroit Metro. She worked with the federal customs officials. All ICE had to do was stroll down the concourse to get to their assigned post. Homan said today that they are simply there to help with the lines, supervise entries and exits so nobody decides to skip, and that frees up a few TSA agents still on the job to actually inspect backpacks and look at the metal detectors. Apparently TSA agents do go through a four month training program and ICE can’t simply replace them at the inspection areas.

Daughter did take a picture of us under the Reno sign, but it was still light outside, so no neon effects.

161 I am guessing hell is way worse than any of us can imagine.
Hell is absolute separation from God.
Imagine eternity without hope. Lakes of fire, literal or not, describe something horrific.

Here, while life is often hard, even unbelievers experience common grace -- "The rain falls on the just and the unjust alike," Jesus said. And as long as there is breath there is the opportunity to repent and be saved.
But once you're dead, that's it. God's perfect judgment and then something we really cannot even begin to imagine, forever.
Human justice pales in comparison.

198 Box turtles love to swim. I had 5 of them over a course of 20 years, now all released to the wild. Had a large pan about 3" deep and they would go in for an hour daily. The most fun they had was if you put worms or grubs in the water, they would hunt them all down. Unfortunately, they enjoyed crapping in the water too. Box turtles are very buoyant and good swimmers and if they live near a pond or stream, they will swim daily if it's warm enough.

"EXCLUSIVE: After producing the 2024 Netflix docuseries Polo, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are revisiting the world in a scripted form. The streamer is developing a polo-themed drama, which the Sussexes are executive producing under their Netflix deal. It comes from the duo’s Archewell Productions and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire.

Written by Francisca X. Hu (Peacock’s Teacup), the untitled project is an upstairs-downstairs drama set in the high-flying equestrian town of Wellington, FL, which revolves around the messy dynamics between two rival teams and the families that lead them."

I will soon be switching over to my "Summer Chemo Hat", which many people saw at the Texas MoMe last year - a cute straw number with a rolled brim and a scarf tied in a bow at the back. I also had a wig on at the MoMe, but my hair has grown back enough that I don't need to wear it right now.

I DO need a haircut, though, as some of my hair never fell out. I am currently sporting a lovely mullet 😂😂😂

Strongest Candidate: Crime Wave (1954, dir. André de Toth) This is a gritty, realistic LA-based police procedural/noir starring Sterling Hayden as a tough detective. There's a notable scene at Sawyer's Dog & Cat Hospital (a real Glendale pet hospital used as a location—still standing today under a different name). It involves a shady, alcoholic ex-con veterinarian (played by Jay Novello) who patches up wounded criminals on the side.

271 Darn it, too tired for a horror movie.

I do have Rachel Maddow on. She's all butthurt because the system is working and ICE is catching illegals at the airports. She found a 5 yr old. "Everyone okay with this?" Rachel asks.

Pretty much.

If only there was some way, some possible way to avoid this. They're stumped.

And there's another No King's Day! No mention on who's paying for it. I gave up booze but we should turn those into national party days. That's enough of Bizarro news. I can only take so much at a time.

Is Struthers still alive?

I thought she died from eating all the food that was for the starving children.

She is doing an autograph convention in NJ next month. Chiller Theater.

There are CDL practice test apps on Google play. I can't remember which one I used a decade ago when I got my CDL.
