The Morning Report — 3/23/26

PDT-A-10.jpg

Good morning kids. So, tick tock, tick tock. . .

Trump Draws Red Line: 48 Hours To Open Strait Or U.S. Strikes Begin

The president has promised to "obliterate" Iranian power plants if Tehran does not comply.

Well, time's up. . .

On Saturday, March 21, President Donald Trump delivered a 48-hour ultimatum to the Iranian regime to stop terrorizing the strategic Strait of Hormuz or face devastating consequences. The Iranian Islamic regime has defied the ultimatum and promised to shut down the strait altogether.. . .It is hardly surprising that the Iranian regime is doubling down, considering that it is run by fundamentalist Muslim fanatics who truly believe Allah has given them a mission to fight the “great Satan” America to the death. This defiance does, however, illustrate clearly to the world why the joint U.S.-Israel Operation Epic Fury is necessary and how fully justified Trump is in carrying through on his ultimatum.

Trump had warned, “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

It is a shame that the long-suffering Persian people are going to suffer even more because of the intransigence and belligerence of the Mullahs who are hell bent on bringing about Armageddon as the precursor to global Shiite Islamic conquest.

For those who question if this trip was necessary, give Iran's 47-year bloody wave of terror not only in the Middle East but across the globe, (that has spilled rivers of American blood to the tune of "Death to America!") which is on top of Islam's 1500 year wave of terror. So, if scimitars, firearms and tanks and planes won't do the trick, there are always ICBMs.

The position taken by Obama, Democrats, the media and, more recently, Tucker Carlson, is that we should accept Iran’s claims about its military capabilities, whether it comes to its nuclear weapons or its ballistic missiles. After all, a bunch of Islamic terrorists would never lie to us. Would they? . .

. . . Iran launched ballistic missiles at the joint US-UK military base in Diego Garcia on Friday, demonstrating a weapons capability that goes beyond what Tehran was known to have possessed.

The base, a strategic airfield that can host B-2 stealth bombers located nearly 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometers) away from Iran, suffered no damage, according to a person familiar with the matter speaking on condition of anonymity.

The media is now busy pretending that we had no idea that Iran had that kind of capabilities despite repeated warnings, including the Obama Iran Deal, that Iran had missiles capable of hitting European capitals. . . Netanyahu said in an interview with right-wing podcaster Ben Shapiro on Monday that Iran is developing intercontinental ballistic missiles with a range of about 8,000 kilometers, warning that Tehran’s expanding weapons program could threaten major American cities. The Iranian missiles could “put New York City, Boston, Washington or Miami under their atomic guns,” the Israeli prime minister said.

. . . imagine that the ICBMs Iran lied about having don’t simply travel 2,000 miles, but 4,000 miles or more, which would allow them to strike a major city in the United States.
“That’s what they’re planning to do. Now, imagine that those ICBMs are tipped with nuclear warheads, which they were planning to do as well. So, we have to face a very difficult situation,” he said before noting that while gas prices are temporarily higher as a result of the war, they will return to normal.

And speaking of tyrannical regimes and malign, evil oppressors . . .

So many people inside the United States believe the left’s narrative about the United States today, the question becomes very real: can the nation survive the presence within it of a large and growing population of people who hate it and wish to see it destroyed?

For the left, the truth doesn’t matter as much as the narrative. And if the narrative is incendiary enough, and they can convince enough people to believe it, it could indeed be destructive, and even bring the whole nation down, with incalculable effects for the world at large. The narrative that the left is pushing hard right now is a variation on a theme it has harped upon repeatedly since the war in Vietnam and even before that, from the time of the beginning of the Cold War. . . And so we come to one Joe Iosbaker, a 67-year-old leader of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), which describes itself as “a national organization of revolutionaries fighting for socialism in the United States. Our home is in the working class.” FRSO’s rhetoric is pure 1930s-era Marxist agitprop, as if the Stalinist purges, the gulags, the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the Khmer Rouge killing fields had never existed: “We are organizing the united front against monopoly capitalism — with the strategic alliance of the multinational working class and oppressed nationality movements at its core. This is our general strategy for revolution in the U.S.”

With that from friend and friend of the blog Robert Spencer as the set-up, Raw Egg Nationalist takes it further, a lot further than maybe we'd like to go . . .

The transformation of El Salvador dramatically illustrates a point made by Friedrich Nietzsche, one that’s often missed. In The Genealogy of Morals, Nietzsche set himself the task of revealing the non-moral origins of various institutions, including morality itself. One of his main targets was the state and the notion of a primitive “social contract.” Far from originating in a friendly handshake and an agreement among equals, the state was birthed in blood. Before the state was the state, it was ravaging barbarians—the blonde beasts—who descended on less warlike peoples and subjugated them. Over time, through great violence, these pitiless lords shaped and molded their captives into citizens, self-regulating creatures that could live together, act responsibly, and obey commands. . .

The broader point—that great violence is an inescapable part of the civilizing process—is obviously true. Historians of medieval Europe have shown that, generation after generation, something like 1 percent of the male population was put to death in the name of law and order. The peaceful, high-trust societies that European governments are now destroying through mass immigration—societies where murder was no longer a valid social strategy, only the rare product of intoxication or sexual jealousy—existed because the most violent people were systematically put to death until their genes were expunged for good. . .

Predictions make fools of us all, they say. Bukele may prove a lone exception in the Americas: a leader of unusual will and a ruthless pragmatism who is prepared to assert the rights of the peaceful majority against those of the small minority of murderers, rapists, drug dealers, and pimps who once acted with impunity.

Have a great day!

29 More and more, I'm convinced that China is way worse off than anyone knows.

I think their population is 200-300 million less then they claim.
And every one of their economic numbers are likely 20-30% overstated.

One of the biggest, most obvious recent lies that I see the left desperately repeating is their claim of this massive increase in solar power production.
Simply, you don't build solar if you can build coal. And you don't build coal if you can build nuclear.

Venezuela and Iran both fed China oil at, I bet, 10% of market price--$200 million of oil for $20 million. Hundred-plus times a year.
All gone.

There are, according to YT comments, people on the left who believe that the Trump Administration, over the past several years (don't try to make it make sense), have fired thousands of social security workers so that they can then use the tax dollars for a new wing on the White House.

These people are beyond uninformed. They're anti-informed.

41 There were originally 716 A-10 aircraft built for the U.S. Air Force, with approximately 281 still in service as of recent reports.

Seems to me they need to do what they are doing for the Buff. Find a commercial engine and retrofit the frames for another 20 years of service.

Like this:
The General Electric CF34 is a civilian high-bypass turbofan developed by GE Aviation from its TF34 military engine. The CF34 is used on a number of business and regional jets, including the Bombardier CRJ series, the Embraer E-Jets, and Comac ARJ21/C909.

There are 7,500 engines in service.

I'm glad he did it because even if the mullahs cling to power he'll have so degraded them that they won't be a threat to us for 20 years at least.

68 One way the B52 has extended its life is by decreasing its footprint. There are less than a hundred in service out of thousands.

The AF loves the A10. It is very sexy because it's a butt in a seat. Of a jet. And the whole rest of the military loves them.

71 The thinking at the AF is that the A-10's mission, to kill Soviet tanks in Europe during WWIII, is over. That's just being short sighted and wanting money for some other shiny thing.

Be that as it may, the "Skyraider II" a militarized Air Tractor AT-802 agricultural aircraft fulfills some of the CAS role the A-10 does. "Some." It's more of a SpecOps toy.... IMO.

It probably could shoot up IRGC speed boats and other lightly skinned targets if brought into theater.

109 AF wanted to rid themselves of the A-10 because they sold people on the faulty idea their other airframes, with the new gen of munitions, could fulfill the CAS and other roles of the A-10. They also posited the A-10 didn’t have the stealth and engagement survival ability of the new gen like the F-35.

They were wrong. Low and slow still has a role, as we see. The A-10 can loiter longer, be effective at CAS, elude a lot of munitions, take out drones more effectively and play a very specific role in the battle space. Not that it matters, but the price tag is cheaper too.

Most salient point: If you are praising Mueller, you reveal yourself as an enemy of freedom. Trump was right for what he said.

The left knows nothing of his protection of Whitey Bulger (and his brother, the MA politician).
Or that he was the FBI head who let Epstein roam free.
They have no idea how senile he was, merely the face of the prosecution.
They really believe that he "proved" Trump colluded. Not a one knows they "tried" the entire case via indictments and press conferences.
Never investigated any witnesses or claims.
Or how they desperately made sure none of the Russians charged ever got to even the evidence stage.

But more hilarious--and frightening--was some claiming the Rs "leaked" the name of covert CIA agent Valarie Plame in retaliation back when.

I mean ... they never, ever let go of their lies no matter how much evidence proves it a lie.

Will Israel pause attacks, too? I dunno. I hope not.

Regarding attacks on power plants - I think electricity generation by most Iranian power plants can be stopped by severing natural gas pipelines. I believe most Iranian power plants nowadays run on natural gas. If pipelines are buried it seems to me we and the Israelis have penetration bombs that can do the job. Mossad likely has very detailed pipeline maps. Do this and you leave the plants and transformers ready to go. Pipelines can be repaired quicker than repairing/replacing turbines and transformers. IRGC pipeline repair crews can be killed or kept away by air attacks.

145 Investigators could find “nothing” criminal on Phares during their probe, according to the lead case agent, and in fact, they concluded he was “honest.” Yet Mueller’s team continued to secretly spy on Phares—without providing the powerful federal spy court any of the exculpatory evidence that could clear Phares as required by law.

The agent told investigators in a separate 2020 internal FBI review that “there were no corroborating facts that tied Crosswind [the codename for Phares’s case] to certain facts that we thought were originally true,”

The Process is the Punishment.

157 A small reminder, related to Tucker Carlson:

Mel Gibson, actor and director, had an incident back in 2006. when he was pulled over for a DUI. During the stop he began ranting and raving that it was the fault of the Jews.

He was cancelled and blacklisted.

Tucker, on the other hand, isn't a one-time thing, nor under the effects of mood-altering chemicals (that we know of). Nor is Candance Owens, who has been making a lot of despicable comments as well.

Not cancelled. And they have yet to apologize. And no, "Just Asking Questions" is not an apology.

Remember that the Democrats played "Let's **** the American People!!!" at the tail end of 2025 by forcing a government shutdown.

They ended up relenting when Trump took advantage of the situation to lay off federal workers due to the lack of funding. Workers that are the Dem's rank and file. They managed to get them hired back as a concession for reopening the spigots.

But the TSA? DHS? Departments that deal with safety and security? Those workers aren't Democrats that are feeling the pain, so the Democratic leaders are free to drop trow and "rain" on the little folks having issues making ends meet now.

Remember the grapevine game? Tell someone something which is verbally passed through multiple layers and see what comes out at the other end. It comes from the social media side of that.

It gets reported that Trump is mentioned in the Epstein Files. Well, as absolutely everyone knows, every single person mentioned in the Epstein Files is a pedo (even though all the arrests, AFAIK, have been for financial matters). So, Trump is a pedo. Then, because everyone who knows anything knows that Trump is a convicted rapist, and a pedo, it means that he raped a child (ignoring the fact that children cannot consent and, therefore, all sex with a child is rape.)

From there, it's a simple matter to continually lower the age of the victim. If they weren't leftists, they'd probably be saying it was an unborn baby by now. And they all believe every single word of it because they are incapable of setting aside their hate for long enough to ask, "Does this sound actually plausible?"

219 I dunno. How did we get from “unconditional surrender” to “we’re negotiating”?

One of these is not like the other. It looks like what under discussion is a modified JCPOA agreement. We called that a failure, and it was. Don’t understand how this conclusion is any better. That’s an honest question.

222 Bastardizing the word "genocide" isn't going to work out in the way they think it is, methinks.

The lefties have used “genocide” to mean any event where more than 1 person dies for decades. Except for October 7th and tranny school shootings, of course.

224 At the most we know that 28 million voters in the US are citizens, based on the number of States that validate IDs and Citizenship status.
As it is implemented, based on rulings and local jurisdiction that real number is around 14 million.

226 The Joe Kent psy-ops is the rehashed Valerie Plame psy-ops. But it won't work.

By the way, Eric Metaxas recently noted, with some amusement, that former friend Tucker Carlson has labeled him, completely out of the blue, "deeply troubled." Tucker has done this with a number of people he formerly had as guests, called friends, endorsed or even wrote blurbs for their books. He has done this for no apparent reason other than that they have not wildly deviated from their views and matched his own anti-Israel psychosis.
