Unfortunately time flies and there are whispers about certain conservative justices retiring. I nominate Judge Van Dyke to the highest court!

Judge VanDyke: "This is a case about swinging dicks."
30 members of the Ninth Circuit write to disagree.

The Ninth Circuit denied rehearing en banc in Olympus Spa v. Armstrong. Judge VanDyke wrote the lead dissent, which begins this way:

This is a case about swinging dicks. The Christian owners of Olympus Spa—a traditional Korean, women-only, nude spa—understandably don't want them in their spa. Their female employees and female clients don't want them in their spa either. But Washington State insists on them. And now so does the Ninth Circuit. You may think that swinging dicks shouldn't appear in a judicial opinion. You're not wrong. But as much as you might understandably be shocked and displeased to merely encounter that phrase in this opinion, I hope we all can agree that it is far more jarring for the unsuspecting and exposed women at Olympus Spa— some as young as thirteen—to be visually assaulted by the real thing. Sometimes, it feels like the supposed adults in the room have collectively lost their minds. Woke regulators and complicit judges seem entirely willing, even eager, to ignore the consequences that their Frankenstein social experiments impose on real women and young girls.

As you could imagine, this line infuriated Judge VanDyke's colleagues.

His response to their feigned outrage is hilarious. However, I was disappointed that he didn't write he wasn't a gynecologist but knew a cvnt when he saw one.

On the bright side: It wasn't Aunt Millie's Miniature Schnauzer.

A criminal investigation has begun in Turkey after an injured English racehorse was killed and served in soup kitchen.

Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry ran tests after a ‘foreign object’ found in a stew served at a soup kitchen in Mersin last month and discovered that it was an electronic identification chip belonging to Smart Latch, a four-year-old English mare.

Our world which includes our Canadian friends has gone completely nuts about the Hitler/Nazi thing. While Canadians allow government sponsored suicide, turn the blind eye to the atrocities of the Islamic faith. History be damned!!!

Although the purchase has been confirmed as legitimate, both Gale and Jouppien maintained it was merely an addition to Gale’s collection of historical artifacts and not an endorsement of the Führer. In a report from CBC, Jouppien added:

“It’s not to be taken as an insult to any anti-racist group,” Jouppien told CBC News. “It was collected in the sincere interest of history.” Jouppien added that “not many people have the resources [Gale has]” to preserve rare items and that his collection is a contribution to history.

Jouppien also claimed that Gale’s historical collection was worth millions of dollars.

If I were a rare book collector, this would be something that would interest me. And if that bothers you. I'm not sorry. There is nothing to apologize for.

Why would you have someone there to protect the public asked Karen The Mayor. Well since you won't allow concealed carry this is the next best thing.

Waterloo Mayor Dorothy McCabe said she was “surprised and shocked” to learn a Waterloo Regional Police Service sniper was deployed as part of law enforcement’s efforts to manage an unsanctioned street party during St. Patrick’s Day weekend in the city’s university district.

Waterloo police confirmed to The Canadian Press that a photo and video circulating of a sniper monitoring the St. Patrick’s Day crowd Saturday was indeed a Waterloo police officer, but at first did not answer questions about why one was deployed.

Police later said in an email late Sunday that “mass casualty considerations” were part of the safety plan for the event.

“The magnitude of unfortunate mass casualty events that have occurred across North America and around the world in recent decades have shaped emergency response strategies for all large gatherings,” Chief Mark Crowell said in the email.

It's not like Muzzies attack infidels during any secular or religious celebrations.

Yours truly doesn't even know where to begin to address this "Letter to The Editor". The first four things that came to my mind were:

1) The mentally ill are raising the mentally ill and enabling their illness.
2) Where is the Father of the mentally ill child?
3) Where did this "Mother" come from?
4) Obviously God does not exist in her world.

The GOP’s Anti-Trans Crusade Already Forced Me to Move My Family. I’m Still Not Sure We’re Safe.
We thought our new state would be a haven after the last one turned on us. But I know the signs, and they aren’t looking good.

In May of 2020, my family moved so I could attend a clinical mental health doctorate program at the University of Iowa. I remember being so excited about the program’s LGBTQ Counseling Clinic, where I would be the assistant director and where I would get to focus on providing much-needed therapeutic care for queer folks. It was the deciding factor for me on what program I ended up attending.

At that time, I would never have predicted that the same clinic that had drawn me to Iowa would no longer exist when my family would be forced to flee the state in 2025.

At the beginning of our Iowa adventure, my kids were 9 and 12, and the plan was to stay at least until our oldest graduated from high school in 2026, if not longer. A few years into our time in the Hawkeye State, my oldest child came to us because they wanted to start on puberty blockers, since they were trans, and wanted to delay bodily changes that didn’t match their gender. When my child first came out, I was worried that because I’m a trans clinician who works in gender-affirming mental health care, others would assume my child’s choices were influenced by me. I was very careful to make sure they knew that whether to pursue gender-affirming care was entirely their own choice. The most important thing was that they knew we loved them and that we would support whatever choice they made.

I really think someone takes his singing ability way too seriously. Genius Award Winner.

“Upset about the music,” the karaoke enthusiast exited the bar, where James Emery, 27, “tried to get...Jablonski to calm down,” according to an arrest affidavit. Instead of cooling off, Jablonski pulled a Glock 9mm from his waistband and pointed it at the man, saying, “I don’t fucking care.”

Jablonski, police reported, fired one round into the air.

It was illegal for Jablonski to possess a handgun since his rap sheet includes a 2012 felony conviction (for battery on a law enforcement officer). He has also been convicted of DUI; disorderly conduct; theft; resisting an officer with violence; and violating probation.

31 Here's a thought for the WBNA pay. Each team's players get somewhere between 5% and 10% of the total ticket sales and broadcast revenue. The team then apportions it, based on court stats, if they dressed but didn't play, and if they're on injured reserve.

You want bigger pay? Draw bigger crowds.

Tomorrow, Miss Linda says, we can get a free donut each at the Krisy Kreme in the suburbs, and we can always find other errands to run out there, so that sounds good.

Right, they want the comparison to be solely on Men versus Women's "pro b-ball". Caitlin brought in big numbers, but with this Team USA, she went 2-7 the other day from 3 point land (but that is below her average). She is a good point guard and ball handler and gets a lot of cool assists, but not that great from her patented "logo three" signature shot. Several others are better.

BUT Caitlan does draw crowds and attention, so is worth the big bucks. And she gets it in ad revenue as well. Is it racist for her fans to watch (white) her? Well maybe, but not more racist than for the black/lesbie players to trying to destroy Caitlan.

I heard that once living in the edge of Fort Worth. It wasn’t a tornado, rather straight line winds in excess of 100 mph. (One local compared it to a tornado laying on its side). If someone had been standing next to me I could have shouted as loudly as possible and they wouldn’t have heard me. The entire building, a multi unit condo, was violently vibrating.

I should have been scared, but I was too awestruck by the raw power I was seeing. Next day I was looking around and found the remains of a large billboard, mounted on 4 I-beams, which had been ripped out of the ground and tossed about 200 yards from where it started.

We'll see what happens. But a national blackout is a nice touch. Report that regime cops are positioned around a Che statue to protect it from vandalism.

For some reason I'm confident there'll be no half-measures on this one, as we're in a position to impose our will. And de facto regime change will be the starting point.

Something like 65% of Iran were under the iron fist of terrorist Islam. Venezuela was run by the drug cartels. Mexico is run by the cartels ... Russia may have more "freedom" but their men are being sent to die in war. China is tyrannical and abusive. Tyranny seems to be the norm in the world.

But "The West" in Europe still believes in freedom, or are they fully submissive to Islam, so their oligarchs can enrich themselves with cheap labor (not counting the cost of murder of social norms).

Exception is USA ... Right? Well, except for the DeepState, and Islam invasion, DEI absurdities, and infinite debt.

[...] Hluyuk Tikimit, quivering porcupine, known here as Norwan, is the cause of the first war in the world. The porcupine in American Indian mythology is always connected with sunlight, so far as my researches go, and Norwan is connected with daylight, for she dances all day, never stops while there is light. Her title of Bastepomas, food-giving, is also significant, and would help to show that she is that warm, dancing air which we see close to the earth in fine weather, and which is requisite for plant growth.

I think the do-gooders and wannabe saviors over the years have actually made Haiti a far worse place than it would have been otherwise. They have trained the populace to expect solutions to their problems to come from outside, and they’ve given up any thought of fixing things themselves.

Yes, without outside aid there would have been one or more instances of mass death; but then the survivors would have had to pull their heads out of their asses and think seriously about how to Not Do That Again. And they would have solved their own problems.

300 Just for fun.

Grok - Jeremiah Curtin, the 19th-century folklorist and mythologist (known for works like Myths and Folk-Lore of Ireland and Creation Myths of Primitive America), does not provide a direct retelling or unique variant of Helen of Troy's classical Greek origin story (the birth from Leda's egg after Zeus's swan seduction). Instead, in his 1898 book Creation Myths of Primitive America, Curtin discusses a Native American myth from the Wintu people titled "Norwan." He explicitly compares it to the Helen of Troy tale, noting that it "recalls the Helen of Troy tale" (or "recalls forcibly the Helen of Troy tale, both in its general plan and in many particulars").In this context, Curtin uses the Helen story as a parallel or analogue rather than recounting her own origin directly. The Norwan myth involves a beautiful woman (Norwan) whose desirability sparks a massive war among the "first people," similar to how Helen's abduction/elopement with Paris triggers the Trojan War.

311 Given the benign environment and logistics (proximity), the US could definitely bridge any food gap Cuba will face if their grid is truly kaput gemacht. Assuming the regime is gone (at the top - the lower functionary ranks remaining in place would be part of the solution), and the US has full operational control.

Of course the first thing to do - after ensuring maximalist demands on regime change are met - is to go fix and fuel and the power system ourselves. Given that cracks/uppityness are appearing with just severe power problems, seems a decent bet that a dark grid and the widespread economic and social consequences would be enough to crumble the current order.

And I imagine we'd make it clear that any violence to try and cling to power will be met with decisive force by us. Our cred at removing/vaporizing adversary leadership is at a particular high at the moment.
