The Morning Report — 2/24/26

Good morning kids. Let's talk about some heroes and villains, no, I'm not referring to an old Beach Boys tune. But starting off with the latter:

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro’s office is allegedly halting a case against several Democrats who took part in a video and encouraged military members to disobey orders, according to a report. “Three people familiar with the matter” reportedly told NBC News that Pirro’s office “decided to stop pursuing the case” against Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Reps. Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), and Jason Crow (D-CO).
The decision reportedly comes after a “federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., unanimously rejected an attempt by Pirro” to have the Democrat lawmakers indicted for their roles in a video in which they encouraged military members to disobey orders,

The miscreants cited above quite literally were encouraging military personnel to commit mutiny. Their excuse was that they were assuring those serving in uniform that they had their backs in the event that President Trump were to issue illegal orders that supposedly endangered the citizenry. This of course was both as a means of destabilizing/kneecapping President Trump's legitimate authority as commander-in-chief to maintain order in the face of an actual Democrat led/instigated/fueled/fomented insurrection by instigating a fiction that the President was going to institute martial law and declare himself President for life or some such other pornographic drivel. I am referring to the civil disorder and rioting and violent confrontations against ICE, National Guardsmen and law enforcement agencies who are merely doing their duty. As well as military action vis a vis the Venezuelan drug running operations, and elsewhere around the globe.

I have never served in uniform but knowing many who have and I know that even the lowliest enlisted man or woman, let alone those in the officer corps are certainly instructed and have a basic understanding and the morals and ethics to know right from wrong. It is otherwise axiomatic that those who choose to serve their country in our armed forces are innately decent moral upstanding individuals who have a love of their country, something totally alien and abhorrent to those on the Left and the Democrat Party.

And what of Jeannine Pirro? If a federal grand jury refuses to indict the traitors, there's not much she can do I suppose, or did she just throw up her hands and quit.

And now the diametric opposite of all of the above in a truly inspiring story of real American heroism:

The Nazi soldiers made their orders very clear: Jewish American prisoners of war were to be separated from their fellow brothers in arms and sent to an uncertain fate.
But Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds would have none of that. As the highest-ranking noncommissioned officer held in the German POW camp, he ordered more than 1,000 Americans captives to step forward with him and brazenly pronounced: “We are all Jews here.”
He would not waver, even with a pistol to his head, and his captors eventually backed down.
Edmonds’ moral stand in a Nazi prison camp is finally being marked with the United States’ highest military honor, the Medal of Honor, more than eight decades after he calmly faced down a German officer’s pistol.

When you consider the hideous nature and intention behind what Mark Kelly and those other traitorous bastards did with that video, and it is a complete debasing of the blessed memory of Roddie Edmonds as well as every other wonderful guy and gal who faithfully served and still serve our nation. And that makes my blood boil.

Early in the 2000s, part of my job was submitting textbook orders to the campus bookstore. My predecessor would ask for orders, then type everything in. I took the existing .PDF of the book order form and made it fillable, then sent it to the faculty for *them* to fill out. I'd keep a digital copy before I sent it on. That way, if they taught the same course with the same books a semester or a year later, I could dig out the previous order form, change the date, and send it in.

Each semester I also asked the registrar for a complete listing of all the courses in a spreadsheet. I'd read them into my Access database. Then the data could be used for my own class schedule broken down by time and day, so I knew when everybody was in class; and for file folder labels for the classes. Computers are supposed to *save* us labor, right?

13 The other thing I was proud of with Access: I created two reports from the class data, linked to the graduate students who were TAs for the given faculty member. The first report was grouped and sorted by faculty name and sent to them. The second was grouped and sorted by graduate student name and sent to them. All with the exact same data.

This is the judicial coup in action. In a "fair" judiciary Pirro would be given a chance, in court to plead her case. The politicians would have to retain legal council and they'd all have to go through the motions, even if found not guilty.

Which is what Trump and his supporters went through for 4 years. Except the "fair" judiciary isn't fair.

This is a huge problem that the administration hasn't figured out how to deal with. Maybe there is no solution... IDK.

You can say “well it was in DC”, but good prosecutors, just like good generals, don’t charge headlong into situations where complete failure is guaranteed.

True, but the process is still a punishment.

You can't discount the D.C. (or NYC or *insert lefty stronghold here*) factor. It will be extremely difficult to bring an indictment on any Dem for any crime in those jurisdictions, especially when they judges are lined up against the prosecutors, too, like Comey's case in Virginia for example.

Disciplined administratively, NOT through the Court system. It’s a crucial distinction.

The only successful way to have dealt with the Kelly et al situation would have been for Trump and. Pirro to have made a joint statement (a public address would have been even better) saying “The Democrats would have attempted to use the Justice system to crush any speech they disliked, just like when (then list the incidents). We do not believe that is healthy for the life of our country, since we believe that the best counter is MORE free speech, not less.

Now this is why what those 6 said is wrong, and is dangerous for our country’s health and future (then go through the arguments against)
