Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Rant![]() European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council António Costa are in Kyiv for the anniversary, along with the leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Norway, and Sweden. “Our objective is a comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law,” Costa, von der Leyen, and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said in a joint statement. "We support all efforts aimed at achieving such a peace – a peace with dignity and long-term security. Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is the cornerstone. No country can annex its neighbour. Borders cannot be changed by force. The aggressor cannot be rewarded," the EU leaders added. How very high-minded of them! Now send your young men and women and trans-men and trans-women to fight alongside the Ukrainian people, and your empty words of support might be taken seriously. And rebuild your militaries so that you can at least support the American mission to protect Europe and its trade routes. Otherwise, shut up, support American efforts to end this regional border dispute, and continue to lose your cultures and your souls to the Muslim invaders you invited in. And here is the smuggest of them all! Macron, whose country has provided barely half of what the UK has sent to Ukraine, is the biggest chicken-hawk of them all! French President Emmanuel Macron said in a post on X that the war is a “triple failure for Russia: military, economic, and strategic.” “It has strengthened NATO—the very expansion Russia sought to prevent—galvanized Europeans it hoped to weaken, and laid bare the fragility of an imperialism from another age. Because Ukraine is the first line of defence of our continent, France and Europe stand resolutely by its side.” Macron added. Strong words coming from a man whose country has an almost unblemished record of defeat in the last 100 years. Ukraine had better hold the line, because once the Russians get to the French border, they will have a clear path to the channel. [Crossposted at CutJibNewsletter and X/Twitter]. One story the media has very successfully covered with a pillow until it stopped moving is the ethnic cleansing of California. The Aztecs aggressively and often very violently purge all blacks from the communities they invade and conquer. This has led to a black diaspora from CA - those communities have been erased over the last quarter century.
I think that may help explain Gavin Newsom's insane recent remarks. He probably hasn't met many blacks, they are no longer important in the CA political world he lives in, and he views them as apemen who can't read. He's probably been able to be flippantly racist for a very long time and have it go largely unnoticed by voters. But now he's running for the Democrat Party nomination, and getting runaway black men back on the plantation is more important than perhaps anything else for that peculiar institution at the moment... so he made a hamhanded attempt at pandering to them and accidentally, reflexively called them a bunch of retards. Nice work, Gavin. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at February 24, 2026 11:12 AM (BI5O2) 39

HUNGARY BLOCKS EU SANCTIONS — ENERGY SHOWDOWN ESCALATES Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó says Budapest will not support the EU’s 20th sanctions package after Ukraine halted oil deliveries to Hungary. His message was blunt: “I can say it 100 times… Hungary will not agree… because Ukraine decided not to restore oil deliveries.” He warned that blocking supplies directly threatens Hungary’s energy security — calling it a matter of national sovereignty. “No one has the right to put our energy security at risk.” This is more than a diplomatic dispute. Meanwhile, in Ukraine:
1. The Russians continue their aerial campaign against electrical infrastructure. Seeing how most trains in Ukraine are electric, this is probably really putting a hurt on logistics. 2. The Ukrainians continue their aerial attacks on Russian hydrocarbon facilities and the electrical infrastructure of the cities nearest the border. While successful, the ratio of attacks favors the Russians. 3. On the ground, the Russians have started a half-dozen new attacks across the border in the northeast. Elsewhere, they continue to grind forward. They are demilitarizing Ukraine, the hard way. Posted by: Idaho Spudboy at February 24, 2026 11:54 AM (InJki) 201

Democratic Michigan congressional candidate Shelby Campbell suggested she decided to do many things — including running for the House — "out of spite" for a former significant other who broke up with her 10 years ago. In a TikTok video Campbell posted Feb. 6 that circulated Monday on X, the candidate said the man in question blocked her and broke up with her on that exact day 10 years ago. Campbell listed her accomplishments following their separation, thanking her ex-partner — whom she revealed the first, middle and last name of — and cited her spite for him as to why she is running for Congress. https://tinyurl.com/2853waae Posted by: Judge Elric The Blade at February 24, 2026 11:54 AM (iFTx/) 202
Leftists don't care about borders, peace or anything else but power. Everything is situational and geared toward that end.
If they sense they can gain power from Ukraine defeating Russia, then European countries must have borders. If they sense they can gain power from unchecked immigration, then European countries must not have borders. Both of these facts are true at the same time for them. Strong words coming from a man whose country has an almost unblemished record of defeat in the last 100 years. Not to mention an equal history of cocksuckery. WEB Griffin has often cited a true story in his books about an American officer who escaped from Bataan in a small boat with a handful of other American troops at the beginning of WWII. They took about 6 months to move from island to island through the Philippines and then crossing the S China Sea to the French garrison in Indochina. One of the great feats of navigation, to rival the voyage of Capt Bligh after the Mutiny. The Americans landed and presented themselves to the French garrison in perfect military order, despite the rags that remained of their uniforms. The French commander shook hands all around, congratulated them on their epic feat.... and then immediately handed them over to the Japanese, because that Frog commander was allied with Vichy. The Americans spent several years in Jap POW camps until the end of the war, and most survived. Until his death, that American officer hated all things French and wouldn't touch any of it. The US Women's team are all individuals who have college, real jobs, and other life things to get back to. That's all the men's team and women's team care about. If you could see what we see from the inside, and the men and women sharing dorm rooms and halls and flex floors and the camaraderie and the way the women cheered on the men and the way the men cheered on the women— that’s what it’s all about." 293 What is the world's population?
7.96 B 8.06 B 8.16 B 8.26 B Posted by: Anonymous Rogue in Kalifornistan ======== Correct answer is we don't know. All the population information comes from dubious government sources in many cases where lying and pencil whipping is a common exercise. Just the error factor in China's population estimates may take off about 500 billion people or so. Robert Heinlein, in one of his commentaries in Expanded Universe, noted that the USSR vastly overstated its population after a trip there in the 1960's and confirmed that with a talk with an old Academy alum buddy. Common enough for two bit thuggeries to not spend a nickel on population estimation except as it might give them a reason to grift. China, like Russia before it, though would consider it a strategic secret for military purposes. Posted by: whig at February 24, 2026 12:19 PM (E4rtv) 300

Just look at all those impotent declarations of desire-as-fact! Take adolescent magical thinking and add, "Hey AI, rewrite this in the style of a Eurocrat." Any earnest know-nothing could do it.
