23 It seems this was painted in a transitional period for Cassatt. She just started painting impressionistically, but the composition is quite conventional, not as bold as her mature work.

45 Mary Cassatt is an interesting artist. Her portraits, especially the faces, are more realistic than the backgrounds and landscapes. Her still life of lilacs is quite Impressionistic but still conveys the essence so strongly you can almost smell the bouquet in the vase. In today's example the woman's figure and face are realistic but the clothing, plants and reflections of color in the glass could have been done by Monet. It's a pleasant combination. After the sharp lines and dull colors of yesterday's art, this is lively and enjoyable.

I actually prefer it over Amelie. Audrey Tautou also stars but this time as a crippled woman looking for her lover reported dead in WWI.

They can literally do as they please. Often, even if they say they do, it is at the mercy of the government to decide what it can or can't do.

It has been quite enlightening watching the WNBA's reaction to Caitlyn Clark, and the NBA's reaction to Nikola Jokic, both fabulously talented players who happen to be white.

The rejection of this style of diversity has been quite a show. A very ugly show in the case of Clark, who has been openly targeted for assault every time she steps on the court.

But any Republican getting the "oxygen" they gave him would have been obliterated a million times over. Trump turned the media to his advantage, as he has continued to do because he knows how to use them.

That's not the same as him having any actual advantage. There was a VERY early time where they thought he would be an easy opponent but at virtually no point did they do anything but try to eliminate him, because the higher up Democrats and Unparty knew, as I did, that he was the only person with a legitimate shot to beat The Hag.

I watch a lot of Morning Joe in 2016 to see how they thought. Mika and Joe marveled at how available Trump was - you called and you got him, not some assistant, and he always said yes to media requests. He was irresistible to them, even though they kinda hated it.

A mostly well kept secret for you: KY is right, they do have the power to do that, whether or not they'll actually pass it.

There has always been a certain number of post-86 stamp approvals and agency-to-individual transfers going on, for those with connections. The law isn't just that the .gov is allowed to make these transfers at will; it's that they don't have to approve transfers outside of those. But "don't have to" isn't "can't" or "won't".

The ATF can, and does, approve post-86 mg's straight to individuals. Just not you.
