I'd like them to quantify what they mean by AI has written ALL the code.
I use AI to write code but there is a give and take by what I write and what I ask the AI to write, which is largely narrow refactoring and not complete writes/re-writes of code and I have to work with it to produce what I want and get a good result. AI can't deliver new features in and of itself without direction and input. Posted by: Thomas Bender at February 14, 2026 04:49 AM (XV/Pl) 12

Holy cow. I just woke up from a dream where I can into a very dear friend of mine who committed suicide 25 years ago. He and I build an instrument that found the leaks on the Shuttles in 1990.
Because or instrument proved that a group in NASA had been lying for decades, we were punished. I was banned from my lab and Rich was shunned and hassled constantly. He kind of cracked up after I left the Space Center and offed himself. It was so real, I was looking for a foam plate in the O&C cafeteria after getting off of launch support and decided to have breakfast there instead of going home and falling over. I turn around and saw him standing there, we both shouted out each others names and hugged for a long time. He looked older and grayer. I told him I was looking for a plate and turned and he was gone. Good morning, everyone. At the Epoch Times is an article about a legitimate autism center that is struggling to function without federal funds due to the Somalians.
"Beginning in late December 2025, the state began using a new pre-payment review vendor called Optum, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) “at every step” of its claims and reimbursement processes. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz had announced the contract with the new system in late October 2025." In other words, everything was getting flagged and legitimate businesses are now suffering. I well remember those cars, and thought at the time they were handsome -- but not really a Thunderbird as we'd come to know it. The T-Bird had always been a "personal" car, as they called it then: first a two-seater and then a four, but with two doors. Making it a four-door (and erasing the convertible) seemed odd. I am working with an Estate Sales company to get some cash for my late wife's particularly marketable treasures. The person that picked up the 30 items was the Mom of a student that rode my bus. Her daughter liked me much than her current bus driver. Small world. And bread on the water. Posted by: NaCly Dog at February 14, 2026 07:26 AM (u82oZ) 108

My brother published artistic landscape photo album titled "Fly Hobbs". He worked on a key step in the uranium enrichment facility near there. He was unsparing of the people and the surroundings. Very snobby, IMHO. Posted by: NaCly Dog at February 14, 2026 07:34 AM (u82oZ) 114

That you're getting similar comments says many good things about how you treated the kids on your bus route. Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at February 14, 2026 07:37 AM (O7YUW) 116

I suspect that President Trump may be having second thoughts about attacking targets in Iran. He probably calculates how much of Congress and the bureaucracy would prefer to attack our president over attacking the Mullahs.
