At first, I thought the fake anti-Tulsi Gabbard story ended up in the Guardian because that's where fake leakers go when even the New York Times and Washington Post won't touch their stories. But it's worse than that. The reporter who wrote the piece used to be at the Washington Post, pushing anti-Tulsi stories even then. More damning, she did it alongside Catherine Belton, a close associate of Steele dossier hoaxer Christopher Steele and a notorious Russiagate liar whose false claims about Sergei Millian, an innocent American, destroyed his life and business. It's always the same dirty clique of media operators pushing these hoaxes. Fortunately, unlike before, they're finally being called out.

She got a "tip" -- a tip that came from a Hillary and Schumer operative and CIA lawyer, Andrew Bakaj.

Apparently he previously worked for... the traitorous Ukranian agents, the Vindman brothers, who engineered Trump's first Fake Impeachment.

The @guardian are now dissembling because in their attempted hit on @TulsiGabbard, they relied on the word of the CIA operative "lawyer" Andrew Bakaj, who worked for Hillary and Schumer on the Hill and represented the Vindmans in the fake Ukraine impeachment.

So, what was this tip?

That Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, had been on the phone with a foreign person.

But it's worse that this being a nothingburger -- in fact, it's a lie from top to bottom.

The NSA leaker -- who should be found, fired, and prosecuted -- turns out to have never claimed that Tulsi Gabbard was on the phone with a foreigner. (As absurd as that "story" would be.)

He only claimed that two foreigners were speaking on a call intercepted by the NSA, and one of these foreigners... mentioned Tulsi Gabbard.

The Vindman's lawyer and Schumer/Hillary operative now says he "misspoke" when he repeatedly claimed that Tulsi had spoken with a foreigner.

And the "reporter" who shit this piece of shit out in the pages of the Guardian is now pretending her story is still 100% accurate, it just needs a slight clarification:

But it shows you who the leaker is, which appears to be Senator Mark Warner's cutout(s)
Christopher Steele/British intel run the Guardian so that's probably how the leak was organized.
I assume they washed it through UK because it's too sensitive to do in the US where they would run into national security issues. Whereas once published, then the US papers can quote the British ones.

I was a fourth-generation newspaper journalist. My first job was taking local election totals off a chalkboard at the courthouse and relaying them to the local newsroom. I delivered the AJC at 4 am every day of my freshman year of college. I'm sad we don't have local Metro dailies now instead of the Columbia Journalism School-to-NYT pipeline, which gives almost no journo any exposure to normal people. But acting like these institutions haven't EARNED distrust is just missing the story.

Today, @ODNIgov's General Counsel lays out the facts:
1) Neither the Biden-era nor Trump-appointed Intelligence Community Inspector General ever found his client's allegations credible.
2) His client was informed within three days that DNI Gabbard had provided required security guidance.
3) His client remains an IC employee and has the right to report the "fact of" existence -- not the contents -- of the complaint to Congress.
4) The whistleblower's rights do not extend to the attorney himself.
5) Due to the highly classified nature of the information involved, which the attorney is not cleared to review, ODNI correctly required the IC IG to hand-deliver the complaint ONLY to the Gang of Eight.

Don't be so sure of that. It probably was COVID for a lot of people. For others, it may have happened earlier or later. COVID was a big event, but it wasn't new behavior. How much prior mistrust was converted into distrust by COVID? How much mistrust did COVID cause, which became distrust under Biden.

I understand the appeal of pointing at COVID for all of this, but the entire modern history of journalism has been deceit and propaganda. COVID alone wouldn't have done it. The trend is what does it.

Never been the rule for foreign intercepts. US citizens supposedly require FISA warrants which has its own set of problems.

Part of it is that most federal judges do not have security clearances to handle the case materials in things like counterintel cases and the facts in some warrants themselves would be rated top secret compartmentalized like how we break enemy ciphers, etc.

The DoJ just used to require the AG and president sign off on these warrants so in some respects, the requirement of FISA warrants is an advance.

1) the FBI is planning a raid.
2) If news of the raid leaks, then Fulton County can destroy the ballots.
3) If the FBI gives the heads up, and Fulton destroys the evidence AFTER than heads up, they are criminally libel.

I think the FBI was nervous, and needed to get all their ducks in a row. Hence the heads up - the minute they got that letter; any destruction of evidence would be obstruction. before that letter they could have just played it off. Ooopsie, we destroyed the documents you wanted.

Such a letter is often called a retention letter and is sent in white collar cases all the time.

In Oregon, TANF and SNAP benefits (all on the Oregon Trail card) are being used to buy food that is then handed to the drivers of SUVs, who then give something back to the beneficiaries on the curb right there in front of the stores.
Not sure if it is money or drugs, though I suspect it is drugs because that reduces the financial trail and banking distance.
