"..."the most important election of our lifetime" but i think this may be a much more plausible claim about the selection of an administration to implement public control of agi" Everything any government attempt to "control" immediately converts to shit; becomes profoundly corrupted, expensive, abusive and destructive to society. That said, it is what happens between the handing over of the police powers of the state to another regime. Its the intellectual and critical thinking destruction of the population. The appearance of "Grok is this true?" for any story tells a lot. First, the assumption that humans tell nothing but hype, false narratives and lies. Second, that "AI" has a built in benevolent honesty and wisdom sentience, and despite being trained on false narratives and lies will only bear Truth. What we are seeing is that your average LIV has zero trust in civil governments and child-like gullibility for AI. Good Saturday morning, horde.
Prayers for all of you. Thank you to Mis Hum and Annies Stew, and notsothoreau for keeping our list of needs up to date. Every day, I pray that God guide us in these times, and helps us to defeat the evil that encompasses us, that corrupts our institutions and confuses our children. This week, I felt real movement toward that in our country. Feeling positive about things. And, my son found a good job after two years of temporary and part time employment. God is good! Many blessings upon you all! I guess we can drop the prayers for where my tooth used to be because I just chomped on two slices of toast and while the gap felt kind of weird (and will take some getting used to), no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Yay!
Monday is the big procedure, the new braces are in place (with hooks for the bands) and I'm taking half the week off from work to help manage things. The operation will be in Ann Arbor and require and overnight stay, but we'll just commute. My daughter is an adult and no one (including her) wants to stay in Ann Arbor more than they have to. For those who haven't been there, Imagine narrow winding roads through a heavily forested hilly river valley that open out into a suburb with random university buildings crapped out all over the place. Traffic is insane, the interstate has this weird system of lights to tell you which lanes to use, but at the end of the quest, you reach it: Barad Dur, the University of Michigan Hospital, founded upon a mighty hill, encircled by congested roads, with battlements, cornices and engroinments all fashioned using non-Euclidean geometry. Orcs ceaselessly roam about, ticketing vehicles. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at February 07, 2026 08:12 AM (ZOv7s) 19

Just as the purpose of "Bible Studies" is to discredit the Bible.
Depends what kind of Bible Study one attends. From My Lived Experience™ BS meetings are frustrating. For the first fifteen minutes, we are all having barber-shop talk until we give up stalling for any late-comers, then a generic prayer, or in some cases going around and asking for prayer requests, then something a bit more targeted. Then the lengthy and trendy process of partitioning the chapter or two that will be "studied" into incoherent chunks of verses that each person around the group reads. (I love the part of OT History reading where the unfamiliar names are mangled when read aloud). Then the "What does this passage mean to you?" time where we identify the extroverts from the introverts in the group. At the end, all we did was replicate first grade class reading exercises from elementary school. I get the Koinonia part, but there isn't any form of recognizable "studying". Re: The Trans Movement:
I place some blame on the Trannies for the dumbing down of the kids. Almost 30 years ago, Harry Potter was released. The series was a phenomenom - children were waiting in line or having their parents do so when the next book in the series was released. Children. Children were reading the books. They were glued to the stories, hooked on the fantasy of the Wizarding World. And they weren't reading them because of homework, but because they wanted to. Enter the Trans Mafia. They went after Rowling because she opposed little girls being shown manginas in the bathroom. Because she believed in safe spaces. So she was dubbed "TERF", and had to be destroyed. Today? The new kids are going to college and having to get re-edumicated because read no good them. Why read when Tik Tok? A harmless fantasy had to be destroyed, its creator tore down. Replaced with nothing good in its wake, only a void. Posted by: Another Anon at February 07, 2026 08:56 AM (4h45B) 95

As the "trans" movement was spiraling out of control a recent lawsuit with a multi-million dollar verdict has snipped this movement in the bud. So to speak. It also helps that several medical associations have come out in favor of holding off until their patients are at least 18.
******** This recent news may signal an end to the mass delusional hysteria of adolescents (encouraged by grooming teachers, counselors and medical personnel). Although the AMA in general has been largely irrelevant over the last 25 years or longer, it has a high enough profile in the public eye that its policy positions do carry some weight. This reversal leaves the AAP, (ironically claiming to advocate FOR children) as the most influential organization still pushing the transgender fallacy as "supported by scientific evidence. Now that the AAP stands alone I wonder which way they will go. Will they double down on the insanity or will they fold their tents and decamp from this battlefield? (cont.) Reading the tea leaves, I saw an AAP statement from December that had a couple subtle hints that they may be preparing a strategic retreat. Previously they had used language that what they euphemistically call "Gender Affirming Care" is supported by the preponderance of scientific evidence. (this evidence was mostly based on short term self-reported decrease in patient feelings of sadness and suicidal thoughts) The December piece softened this language slightly saying that there is evidence that gender affirming care in teens MAY decrease suicidality. This opens the door a crack toward giving them an out to reverse their stance and join the preference cascade. Meh, I'll beleve it when I see it. It was very much like Pottersville. Posted by: Heavy Meta at February 07, 2026 09:35 AM (GTqXr) 151

Mucho headaches owning a bar.
Posted by: Mr Aspirin Factory --- Yup! It was a small neighborhood bar but the majority of the retweet also in the industry so it was a late crowd, when the restaurants closed down. Every one tried to tell you how to run the place, what kind of music to play, decor, when to open, sports to put on, etc. We decided on a clientele and stuck to it. We played classic rock, had darts, shuffleboard, board games, dominoes, and some bar top video games. The first year was rough but we stuck to it and it became pretty successful. >149 I was somewhat surprised late in life to realize that the most valuable asset a restaurant can have is a liquor license.
Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh The markup on booze is huge. Posted by: Mr Aspirin Factory at February 07, 2026 09:35 AM (2pORR) One of the reasons restaurants go belly up is the margins on food is veeeeery thin - plus you're inventory is perishable. Booze keeps the lights on and trains running on time. Posted by: Heavy Meta at February 07, 2026 09:37 AM (GTqXr) 154

The Aviation is also a fave of the lovely and exciting Mrs naturalfake.
I mix mine with Empress 1908 gin as the base. The peaflower completely changes profile and is complementary to the creme de violette. Posted by: Heavy Meta at February 07, 2026 09:23 AM (GTqXr) I haven't tried the Empress 1908 gin yet. It's on my list though. The gin cocktail I'm most proud of lately is a Gibson riff. 2 oz Citadelle Vive Le Cornichon Gin 1 oz Martini and Ross Riserva Speciale Ambrato Vermouth 2 drops The Japanese Bitters Umami Bitters Hard shake with ice. Pour into cocktail glass. Garnish with 2 S&R Tipsy Onions This brings a lot of subtle flavors to a Gibson changing it a fairly bland cocktail to one worthy of attention. Sold one of my Dodge Chargers yesterday. The one that got clipped by the kid running a traffic signal. Did some market research, average is $11k - $14k. Took some photos, went on Kelly Bkue Book and posted it for a quote. Not five minutes later, a dealership was on me with a cash offer of $13k. • it's been wrecked, and they knew it. From posting it, to walking out of the dealership with $13k, two friggin hours. I was expexting at least a few weeks. Oh well. Now I can get the Ram 3500 4x4 crew cab diesel i want for retirement. I can't believe they're alone. ACOG is even more radical.
Posted by: Biff Pocoroba ********* Granted. However the AAP is the preeminent organization among Pediatric physicians, and have staked their claim as THE official spokesgroup for ALL pediatricians. The "Gender Affirming Care*" battle will be fought and won in the adolescent realm. A.H. Lloyd (and other Horde authors)- a quick question:
Have any of your published books been discussed in a Grokipedia article? I was surprised when my wife found a Grokipedia article on The Curious Disappearance of Seamus Muldoon. The piece was largely cribbed from the "About the Author" page and reader comments from Amazon and Goodreads. The book was very niche, self-published and had scanty sales, so I'm not sure what prompted Grok to generate an article. They listed 7 citations (including the book itself and my blog of the same title. Posted by: muldoon at February 07, 2026 09:33 AM (qgHp7) Nice! Looked up the most recent ACOG guidance from 2021. A sampling:
Obstetrician–gynecologists should ask patients about their name and which pronouns they use. Asking all patients routinely for their gender identity and gender pronouns normalizes the interaction and allows patients to disclose without being targeted; good practice includes reciprocal disclosure (eg, “Hello, I am Dr. X and I use she/her pronouns. Is the name on your chart what you would like me to call you? What pronouns do you use?” And that's one of more mild parts. https://tinyurl.com/5fmrp2ha Posted by: Biff Pocoroba at February 07, 2026 09:46 AM (XvL8K) 175

The medical profession was *never* in on it because of ideology. It was always just a big new profit center based on butchering mentally ill people who would go along with it. Kill the profits, all medical interest dies.
Posted by: Tom Servo at February 07, 2026 09:28 AM (JbyEi) --- In the last few years we've learned that the vast majority of people will go along to get along, which is a very useful trait in a properly ordered society, but is lethal in one that is veering over the ethical cliff. Having seen this up close, a lot of otherwise sensible people in psychology and psychiatry bit their tongues because they would have been destroyed had they spoken out. Some may deplore this, and condemn, but few of us have ever been at the point of a gun waiting for the hammer to fall like that. Not all actually complied, however, and there were people who worked behind the scenes and if you knew the questions to ask, you could find them and they would help you. They were not cowards, but prudent, knowing that the madness could not last and they had people they could not help if they lost their practice and license. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H.
